i know its cliche to say but lup adventurezone really is the character of all time like. she's an elf, she's a wizard, she's dead, she's a ghost, she's a bounty hunter for the raven queen. her spirit lived in a magic-eating umbrella for a nebulous number of years. she's an astrophysicist. carbo-loading breakfast then blowing up an abandoned dmv was her best day ever. she has a twin brother who's memory was wiped of her existence. she's in love with a white guy named barry bluejeans. she planned a heist on a casino to get back at someone who owed her fifteen dollars. after being released back into the world the first thing she did was dunk on her brother's love life. she speaks mongoose. and she's trans. do you get it.

Honestly, I have been waiting for Jake to DM from the very beginning. For some reason, Skaldova is really making it feel complete? Like yes, I've completed the NADDPOD set. And he is gosh dang good at it. I am so delighted at the quality of his descriptions. He loves this, and I am so glad that he loves it. It shows that he loves it. Not that the others don't, but there's something so ... earnest about his dming and about his world and his descriptions and his encounters. Like Bahumia is Home. Hot Boy Summer is fun. Trinyvale is off the walls.

And Skaldova is walking into the tavern and drinking in the sound of the fiddle.

legitimately though nothing will be funnier than being on tumblr in 2017 when my mutuals were posting about taz balance, specifically during the reunion tour/stolen century/story&song era, and hearing everyone talk about "lup this" and "lup that." then a year later i start listening to taz balance and i'm like "wow i'm so excited to meet this lup character everyone loves so much :)" and then the story starts and i'm like "wow this is so fun i wonder when lup will show up :)"

I don’t know if anyone will be able to do it like a starstruck odyssey did it. Being on your phone is 100% the right thing to do in a battle sometimes. Two guys make out sloppy style while the slugs in their brain duke it out. Entire armies of space ships are being put on hold by the psychic comms officer. Unhinged, all of it. "there's something about the dying that feels familiar" fucking unbelievably metal thing to be told. you die and you could swear you've been here before. the last thing you feel before your breath leaves your body is intense deja vu. you've never died before but somehow you know how this goes. you have an uncanny feeling being dead is a temporary gig for you, but you have no idea what gives you that impression. and then you're alive again. and you remember dying. and all you remember is that there was something about it that felt familiar.

i think something that's under appreciated a lot in fantasy high is that fig is supposed to be the rebellious archetype and she cant go anywhere without her mommy and daddy and other daddy

youre really gonna have to bear with me on this one. but if the adventure zone balance was like a serialized tv show that ran for like 11 seasons and so had plenty of time to fuck around and do weird side plots and one off character study episodes i think there would be b plot to some episode or another where kravitz gets assigned to reap a ghost orchestra thats causing phantom of the opera style chaos at an old theater but realizes theyre only haunting the place because they want to play music again but dont have a conductor so he conducts a final performance for them and they are at peace having resolved their unfinished business and he gets to finally be a conductor . i just think that would be cool .
