The playwright blushed, sure his cheeks were pink. She was so experienced, and he was not. "I wanted to bring, to bring this play to you," Kellan said, "I just." He was so busy watching her, he walked straight into the post, with a stammer. Was it so bad to want her? "Yes, I wanted to discuss that. The play, " he whispered, "my friends and I have been working on it. We were hoping you'd put it on." She was the key to getting to the boss, wasn't she. He tried to focus, on something other than that dress, "the play. Uh-"

Moulin Rouge AU
Kellan looked at the room. He could not believe he had gotten this far, this close to that woman. The star dancer of the club. Here he stood, outside her door. He'd seen her sing, and dance, a mane of red hair, fanning around her face. Truthfully, she was the most beautiful thing he ever saw. Kellan knocked on the door of her room. She was supposed to be here. He wanted to see if she would put on this play, "hello?" the Scotsman called, "it's me the author. I want to talk to you." He looked down at the play, they been working so hard on, "miss..." Her name, surely could not be Amber, even though that was what they called her. He knocked again, waiting for her to reply.

First Date Disaster
Kellan never even thought she'd say yes, to going on this hike with him. A date, or at least a trip among friends. Sure there were four of them, but that was the idea. He grabbed his pack tightly while he waited at the gate for her. He smiled when he saw her, giving her a small wave, "come on we been waiting for you!" he said.

Kellan chased after her, a cheeky grin on his face, as he pulled out some of the ground, trying to trip her off, “bet ya can’t!” he said. Oh she was asking for it now, Kellan ran for her, trying to tackle her with a grin. It was only the professor's voice inside his head, telling him to stop, that made him shake his head, "I promise I'll catch ye next time!" he said. He was hungry after all that training.

"You're talkin' to the guy who chased sheep for a living!!" Kellan yelled. He grinned, he'd never ever seen this side of her. So playful, unlike the rude girl he'd become accustomed to. "Tag!" he yelled, like a little kid, touching her on the back before he bolted away. Any thought of training was forgotten.
She rolled her eyes, feeling herself tense, “I suggested it, dummy,” she said, “starting to wish I hadn’t.” Nori looked at his hands, wondering what it would feel like to touch him again, but pushed that thought far into the back of her mind. She grinned impishly, “bet ya can’t catch me!” she said. Her eyes lit up as she bolted into the garden, away from him.

"I figured you wouldn't want a swim," he told her. He grinned, going out the door, "only for the best," he said. He looked around, "let's walk around. Uh if you don't mind." He almost wanted to take her hand, but he kept them by his sides, "maybe I can help you with your training."
Nori stared at the extinguished fire ball, her eyes wide, before she caught the reality of his words and started laughing, “what am I five?” she asked, “I can walk myself to the road.” Damn she wished she were a telepath sometimes, she wished she knew what he was thinking. Nori headed to the door as well, pulling it open, “after you my liege,” she said.

Kellan sighed. Seemed he still had trouble with girls after all this time --why was it so easy for the farm hands? Or was it just her? Kellan reached out for her hand, extinguishing the fire ball wih a small smile, "we'll just walk around the grounds," he said, "you can still uh.." How was he going to say that without sounding awkward. He headed towards the door, "I could uh.." No he wasn't going to sound like a pervert, "I'll walk you to the road and back."
Nori stared, feeling the current go up her hand. Her heart started beating fast. She looked at his lips then away. NO she told herself. “Hiking would be okay. As friends right?” she asked. Why did she want to tell him as more than friends, “swimming? Not my friend.” She held up a hand, staring at the ball of fire in it, trying to extinguish it, “let’s go walk it off. Just a short walk, ‘round the grounds or what?”

"I'd call that more world domination," Kellan teased, reaching to remove her hand off the piece. He stared, feeling the zing go up him, then flushed bright red, "we could uh go hiking if you wanted. With uh friends," he said, "Spyke and everyone. Or go swim in the pool.I mean dinner won't be ready for an hour at least."
“Huh,” she muttered, “I never took you for a cheater.” He was always one of the rule following ones. With him sitting that close, she could feel herself heating up, and cursed it, “yes I play. Though I cheat too,” she teased, moving the pieces back onto the board, “I just prefer other games ya know. Like outdoor ones, or hiking.”

Kellan looked at her, deciding to keep it neutral, if he could. “You need to control your powers, don’t you?” he asked, “that’s why we train.” He sat down beside her. He felt himself getting warm, telling himself it was just her fire powers, “I play. But uh-” He grinned, cheekily, “my brother used to tell me I was cheating, ‘cause I’d uh-” He moved the pieces with his mind, “checkmate.”
Right. Like it was her fault completely. Nori growled in the back of her throat, “sorry for not making sure you get top marks, as always,” she muttered. He irritated the hell out of her. She heard his voice in her head, not my fault somebody decided to pry in there she thought. She had enough of him, of training, of everything. Nori headed up to the shower, then got dressed, heading down to chill out before dinner.

He sighed, as he heard that remark. He wasn't sorry he'd heard it though. She needed to learn,to train hard, but that wasn't what scared him. Kellan had seen something else, something darker. He sighed, getting changed and went down to the living room. Only to find her there, "well I see you recovered," he said. He sat down near her. He'd never admit he sat there, to get closer to her, "a-are you okay?"

He couldn't move. Kellan felt the flashes of a nightmare. He was standing on top of a mountain, surrounded by ash. Friends. Burning to a crisp. He grabbed his head, groaning as he tried to corner the robot, but too late. The robot shot the blast into her, "Nori!" he yelled. He felt the blast hit him in the chest, and groaned, sinking to his knees. "You failed us!" he yelled, "you bloody failed us!You're not a team player!" Kellan huffed a little, as he made his way toward the shower. What was that? he shot at her in her head.
“DAMNIT NORI!” he yelled, “let me in!” He narrowly avoided the giant robots, using his telepathy to try and make them fall against each other, “the only way we’ll win is if we team up together!” She wasn’t making this easy. He couldn’t afford to get distracted, not either of them.

"Wouldn't dream of it,"Kellan murmured. He side-eyed the red head, "I'm more worried ye might get me killed. We need to work together." Which meant she needed to let him inside her mind. Let me in he projected at her, I need to hear you. He didn't wait for a response. The silver doors shut behind them, and he saw the first lime blast of the guns. "Duck!" he yelled, projecting the spiked balls towards the weapon.
She ignored the comment about her dismal solo performance. So what if she struggled to control it at the moment. She gritted her teeth, at that ‘come on’ before she rolled her eyes, “right. And I suppose we have to team up. Don’t get me killed.” She headed in, waiting for him inside the room. There were so many things in here that could get you 'killed’ but it was all about simulation. Nori got ready to fight.

"E-excuse me, I were not trying to pry," Kellan insisted. "your result was there for all to see." He shook his head. She was unbelievable. He headed into the training area, to face the robot-like creatures, using his abilities to rid himself of flying objects. Once he was done, satisfied, he returned to her, "see if you can beat that!" He groaned, when the professor told them to pair up, since he was standing right beside her, they'd been paired together. "C-come on," he said.
He didn’t mean to pry, but he was curious about the girl, “you struggling with the danger room session?” he asked. A faint blush crept over his face. Why was he turning red, as red as her hair, “I c-could help you if you wanted.”
