at every customer service job i’ve worked at, during the initial introduction and workplace tour there’s always that moment where it stops being a professional ‘this is our workplace and these are the rules’ intro and becomes the ‘this is hell and these are the corners we can get away with cutting’ tour, i.e ‘this is the cupboard we go to sit and cry in during bad days’ and ‘you aren’t supposed to steal but we get minimum wage so nobody gives a shit if you take a handful of biscuits’.

with that in mind. Tim showing Damian the ropes of being Robin.

Tim: so after patrol you’re supposed to do a nightly report of any incidents at the batcomputer, i’ll show you the login and how the system works…

Bruce: *nods in satisfaction and walks away*

Tim, the second they’re alone: ok so to be honest you’re supposed to do it at the batcomputer so it’s thorough but none of us can be fucked with that so what we usually do is just keep a note on our phones of any major incidents and then on the way back to the cave we send a screenshot of it to Oracle and she inputs it remotely, it saves you like half an hour every night.

Damian: i see.

Tim: this is the weapon storage centre; at the end of the night every bat tool has to be accounted for and scanned into the system.

Damian: everything is to be returned to here?

Tim: yeah, Bruce’s orders. but what we haven’t told B is that Dick broke the scanning system years ago so if you want to nick a cool knife or grapple gun for everyday use then you can literally scan, like, an apple or something, and input the code as the item you’re stealing and Bruce never notices.

Damian: *intrigued*

Tim: i scanned a sharpie instead of a flamethrower i was supposed to return one night. Bruce still doesn’t know it’s in my school backpack.

Tim: this is the usual patrol route; that’s where we usually get to rest for fifteen minutes, by that 7-11 down there, and over in that alley there’s a really secluded abandoned balcony that no civilians can see.

Tim: that’s where we go during rough nights when we want to cry or stare into space for a few minutes.

Damian: good to know.

Tim: if you hurt a rogue too badly you’re supposed to log the injuries inflicted on them to Bruce’s online files so he gets flagged by any major incidents, but Jason figured out that if you tag the injury as ‘light skin trauma’ it will register in the system as a scratch and automatically get put in the ‘unimportant’ file which Bruce isn’t notified by. So even if you stab Scarecrow in the neck, as long as you tag it as ‘light skin trauma with metal implement’ Bruce won’t see it.

Tim: the same applies to our own injury reports, so like, if you ever can’t be fucked with having to sit still and be examined in the medbay after a busy patrol, that’s how you get around him knowing you’re hurt.

Tim: there’s supposed to be a limit on the amount of training you can do per day to stop us from ‘over doing it’ but if you time your workout to the evenings where Bruce works on the batmobile, then he never remembers to keep an eye on the timer and we get like an extra hour.

Tim: this is the only chandelier in the manor that Alfred can’t get to to clean it, so he relies on us to swing up and polish it every now and then. So if you smoke, up there is where Jason hides his stash.

Damian: …i am eleven.

Tim: Jason started when he was ten, i dont know.

Tim: you’re supposed to take water with you on patrol so we all have our own bottles that attach to the belt. Bruce checks that we have it but not what’s inside it, so you can fill it up with whatever. i usually go for coffee. one time Jason and Dick split a pint of margaritas in theirs and tried to see who could drink and swing the best. Dick hit a lamppost.

one of the funniest batkid tropes has to be the older kids constantly getting mistaken as the younger ones parent, especially when there’s literally like. a two year age difference between them like jason with tim. but even funnier is when it starts to get layers to it and the entire family tree gets fucked up.

Danny goes to a new School

So! When Danny got expelled from his High School, it wasn't really a big Suprise. He had missed for too many days or just walked out in the middle of Class, and his grades were lower than anyone else in the school. It was just a matter of time really.

When confronted by his Parents, he had just claimed that it was the constant ghost attacks getting to him (not a total lie) and that he was sorry.

Well, his parents tried to help.

After hearing about his supposed Fear of Ghosts, they decided that it was a good idea for him to go to school somewhere outside of Amity Park, so he could focus on his Schoolwork and not be distracted by the constant Attacks.

Of course no School wanted to accept a problem student like Danny, so they were forced to look into alternative schools to find one that would accept him. And they did! So they had Danny pack his bags, promise to call regularly, and shipped him off to his new School.

Tim, buddy, what do you mean you might had accidentally made a Love Child?!

Danny finds out that

1. He's a clonish 'love child' of two heroes

2. He was accidentally created during one of his donors mental break downs after losing his father and best friends (one of which was his other donor)

3. CW interfered before his creator realized what he made and pulled him out of that dimension because "it would had lead that world to true ruin if he found out at his state of mind. He's better now but it would had been the final straw for him should anything had happened to you in his care and given who he had to partner up with later... I did what I had to."

4. Due to Danny having a bad fall out with his parents after he told them about being Phantom (they didn't attack him... but they did disown him.) Danny is left adrift of what to do. He doesn't wanna bug Jazz, she's in college and dorming. Tuckers place has no room. Sam's parents would never let him stay. Vlad was a definitely a no go. And Dani (Ellie) last check in was near the Amazon rainforest.

5. Danny finds out some of his powers might not be as ghostly as he thought... it does explain the huge power boost some of his powers have compared to other ghosts.

6. He went to Clockwork... who proceeded to tell him the truth, smile his cryptic smile while saying "and now. Have fun this time around. I'll see you again in due time Daniel." Before yeeting him into a portal.

7. Danny woke up in his home dimension.... deaged to being five years old (the age he would be if he stayed and grew by now) (DC timeline is slower than DP in this)

8. He woke up apparently his creator's home city... during a Gala (Danny woke up in a garden, dazed and confused. His memories are fuzzy)... and wandered into the party... and apparently he looked like a perfect mix of his.. dads? Which catches A LOT of peoples attention.

9. Especially with Tim Drake-Wayne and Conner Kent-Luthor just announcing they're dating that very night.

10. Rumors and gossip of a random kid, who looks just like the recent happily announced couple, go flying quickly among the elite... and reaches certain ears before it gets to batfam and supers (I have a feeling they learned how to block out rumors and gossips during these events)

11. Those ears happen to be Lex Luthor and Ra's al Ghul (both who are there at the Gala just to annoy and unnerve the Bats and Supers)

12. By the time the rumors get to Tim and Conner, they find Danny almost getting taken away by one of those two.

Danny the weather man

The weather forecast is never a 100% reliable. That was until this no name news sender from bumfuck nowhere hired a new weather forecaster.

It was a young adult. Just out of his teens or just still in it. His name was Danny and he always ignored the screen of the weather forecast if he thought it wouldnt be accurate. The occasion that brought him to fame was one of such.

Danny was casually doing his segment of the show. He was just about to open his mouth when he frowned. "That is about as wrong as Tuckers love for greasy vein clogging bacon."

He gestured towards the screen. "Yeah, its not gonna be just a little rainy here. The low pressure will increase drastically due to a Superman rogue attempting to create red sun rays. Anyways, so the rain will increase in these areas." He pointed towards some places on the map and continued. "Though the influences will stop around here." He pointed towards the very edge of the map. "Here it will be 72 degrees instead of 75 though. Sorry folks." And because it was live, no one was able to remove it before it aired.

He was fired for that stunt. Before being immediately rehired as it turned out, he was correct. The show decides to test his limits. He becomes the highlight of their news channel. He can predict weather on the entire planet more accurately then the most advanced tech with the most advanced programs and even includes future events that will affect the weather.

This gains the attention of everyone. Scientists, villains, heroes, normal people, weather nerds, and most importantly, the justice league and flight companies. The power of having some kind of weather oracle power related weather meta on their side would he immense.

Or Danny uses his new powers gained by his core consuming the powers he got from Vortex and the time medal of Clockwork together with his developing powers due to his space obsession to give the only people who were willing to hire him a boost.

Danny: SIR! SIR WAIT. THE MONEY! TAKE IT BACK! Dang, lost him again!

A month later:

Bruce: *Sprinting full force down the street in a fancy suit looking to be attempting a track record*

Danny: *Right behind him waving a bill*

Hotdog cart Vendor: You think the kid would give up by now or at least get mugged after yelling he had an extra $100.

Coffee guy: Nah, the kid has morals, and apparently, three Black belts. Plus a knife.

Danny remains speechless for a moment.

"Wait- what the fuck? The ghost fish are YOURS?"

John Constantine knows full and damn well that Phantom isn't a thousands year old ghost.

He knows because, in the middle of a fight against a deranged warlock, Phantom let out a small, warbling chirp in response to getting hit.

He'd quickly covered it up, but Constantine knows that that chirp is.

It's the ghost equivalent of a baby cry.

With as uncertain and lost as that one was, it was a ghost newborn cry.

Phantom isn't even ten years old as a ghost. Constantine would ventures to say that he isn't even five.

Worse, no other ghost responded to the chirp.

Phantom is, in ghost terms, an orphan.

Which is what has led to Constantine creating a portal to the Infinite Realms, so he can walk into the Realms Child Ghost Education Resource Center and make sure Phantom gets a good ghostly guardian.

The kid's been through enough, and John's gonna make sure he gets someone good.

Deal or No Deal

Danny, after he became Ghost King, was often summoned. After a time he got tired of the constant ‘cleanse the world’ and ‘give me immortality’ summons. At first he always refused them, as he had no need to kill when all would become his subjects eventually anyway. Then he thought of a plan which would hopefully change things.

So, using his domain as the Ancient of Space he created the Existing Prison. It was a world that only he had access to, that kept all who stayed in it existing until he released them. He used his power to slip plenty of warnings about the price of asking a protector for things not in his domain. Then he started to accept the immortality askers deal. He would kill their mortal forms and place their soul into the new cage. They could continue to exist for as long as they wanted. He would decide when to release their soul to their chosen afterlife on a case by case basis.

As for the world cleansers, he created another world for that, in combination with Nocturn and Clockwork. It was a shifting world. Those placed inside would be in a waking dream. They would get everything they wanted while living out the remainder of their mortal life span. The dream they lived was shaped by Clockwork’s time ability. If their desired cleansing made the world end then they would live through the nightmare.

He had quickly noticed a difference in the amount of summonings after he started his new policy. It seems removing all the crazies made a marked difference. The ones that paid attention to his warning got to continue as is, and those who didn’t were removed so as not to cause anymore trouble. It actually helped fulfill his Protection Obsession.

Then he met the Justice League. Having to explain that just because he was The Benevolent King didn’t mean he wouldn’t remove problems was a headache.

Danny’s assassins are loyal to him, yes, but also Still Actively Killing For Money and to protect the environment.

Danny is 100% on board with this, especially to help with environmental projects Sam mentions as part of his cover as an average american boy is a disinterest in environmental issues.

Hell, you can even add Danny using a his feral raccoon fighting from canon as an aspect of his cover Damian suggested since it would be less conspicuous and Danny mixing various styles, poses and moves willy nilly to further himself from being caught as the revived Danyal al Ghul.

Damian and Danny possibly getting the idea to change this radically and divorce the losing twin fron OG identity this far from what Talia did to reboot Jason’s brain in the pitts when he was semi-catatonic after waking up in his grave, and Jason getting assassin training that wildly changed his own fighting style.

Hell, instead of damian making his own League of Shadows, follow up with Damian wanting to retire from vigilante activities to study medicine and become a doctor as “i have done more harm and violence than most already, both times fighting for a greater good. This time i want to use my hands to heal.”

Have this parallel Danny as the Guardian of the Gate/his second death being what stabilized the portal with his second botched revival making him a halfa whose job it is to balance both sides… and him getting a reputation on the Ghost Side as a protector of co-habitation, an ally when distressed and someone who is healing the rift between ecto and carbon relations by meeting you where you are and setting the bar.

Danny is leading both sides by modeling how ecto entities beed to be mindful in carbon spaces (think world made of tissue paper speech from superman) while carbons/humans are seeing a helpful ghost in Phantom while Fenton shows himself willing to talk to numerous ghosts in interviews about themselves, why they are there (vacation, missed their old haunts from when they were alive, their door is on this side, ext.,), what they are doing (obsession related or not) and humanizing ghosts and their blatant difficulty realizing humans = fragile.

Move this to WHY the reveal went wrong when Danny tries, first calling his assassins nearby, just in case, and letting Sam and Tucker meet them As His People this time.

I must emphasize, Tucker Knew they were Danny’s somehow, but not the exact relationship.

Danny is a diplomat between the Infinite Realms (Nursery section) and Amity Park as Phantom and Fenton. This is a stressor and strain on his relationship with the Fentons.

He does let Damian know first long before he does, and they check his Bug Out plan many times before he admits to being Phantom and what the IR is like.

But the Fentons hear this thing is a facsimile of their son who died years ago and they never noticed. Their guilt over his death and how their machine and lack of safety did Danny in shuts down and productive conversation. Their son is dead. Their son is dead and this ecto scum replaced him as it happened, and Thinks its their dead son.

They dont kill him. Dont hunt him. But they drive him away.

Danny leaves with his assassins following him, Sam and tucker giving him tech supplies for their conversations and safe meetup date in the future (gotham location, Sam coordinated with Damian for that while Tucker pulled strings with his estranged grandma in the government, Nana Mandy (amanda waller) to look into Fenton’s ethics and how scientific the GIW and Fentons work was).

Danny makes it to Gotham, half his assassins were acting as bodyguards Jazz, Sam and Tucker with rotating schedules while the other half helped Danny to Gotham.

At 15 years old, Danny and Damian reunite for the first time in person.

Damian forgot his family’s tendency to tag him with trackers that transmit sound.

“So i have a portion of my people working out portal dismanteling given its my grave and i can feel it, my new family that isn’t team bigotry have rotating guards now until they can safely get here, and my team is otherwise sticking to me until I can work out the next steps.”

“Are you sure you don’t want to meet Father Danyal?”

“Two father figures have tried killing me already, and two mother figures were willing to let it happen. Let’s not go three for three on wildly disappointing parents.”

Damian hummed at that. “Father is rather vexed by my desire to retire and follow my grandfathers in their careers.”

Danyal huffed, shuffling in the safehouse. “Another reason not to meet him—most families are thrilled about their kids becoming doctors. If he’s mad at you for that, pretty sure he’d try to sever the ecto-carbon bond i have going on or try to abuse my Prince Regent role in the IR for some protect the earth thing. They’re my people to protect too, and i won’t have that conmpromised by a furry with a god complex as bad as Grandfather’s.”

“Point taken. How are your subjects taking to the reforms?”

Anything i miss or direction this should pull in? Im leaning to danny existing in gotham and it getting back to Ra’s that Danny is alive and well, took over a dimension on his own and Damian is intent on learning who he is outside of violence while Batfam are doing their own things and try to help at times but clash with Danny (who never stopped being a mercenary in his own mind but is very selective with targets) and his personal assassins/personnel he took from Ra’s.

This can escalate into LOA vs Danny’s Side (including Damian) trying to manage sans Batfam, while Batfam is trying to absorb Danny but offput by danny’s continued ‘premeditated murder is justified in a number of circumstances’ take. Damian can even start backsliding as a habit around Danyal/Danny if you want that additional conflict of Damian not wanting to kill and him killing As A Civilian during a situation and spiralling in private beifre getting BatLectured with Danyal going ‘the fuck did you want him to do? Let them kill him? Fuck off old man!’ Response

I've seen different fics of Danny and Damian not knowing each other was alive/in Gotham, and I thought that a different flavor of Demon Twins should he made, I do hope someone can make this into a fic.

Danyal and Damian are inseparable and make a deadly duo. Damian is the twin who has combat and weapon efficiency as his strengths, and Danyal has stealth and crafting as his strengths. Danyal can make anything into a useful tool for just about anything.

When Ra's had ordered a battle to the death between both of them, the twins had quickly hatched a plan to have the "loser" be revived when no one was in the Lazarus Pit chamber.

Danyal was the one to lose their duel, and when Damian had brought his twins body to be revived, a few loyal Assassins had aided him. When Danyal left the League with a few of the loyal Assassins, he had given Damian a communicator for them to talk to each other at specific dates, just to make sure that each other is okay and to briefly talk about what's happened to them.

Things happen relatively normally for both of them, Danny became a Halfa, Damian became Robin, Danny became the Ghost King, and Damian has started his own League of Shadows when he gained more followers from the League of Assassins.

After a bad reveal, Danny is able to escape the Fentons with the help of the Assassins that had gone with him. Danny had told them to go back and see if his sister and friends were okay and to bring them to Gotham if they were.

Now Danny and Damian are gonna have to explain why Danny was kept a secret from Bruce all this time.
