Another year passing by. We celebrate the end of the year, remember what tribulations we have overcome, the people we have hold close to heart, yet we overlook reality. We have not accomplished anything worth our efforts, all the work we have done was in order to forget the fact that death looms behind our shoulders. One year closer the being forgotten. We are but a grain of sand in the grand scheme of life. Our accomplishments, our friends, our family. All are merely shadows waiting to disappear as our tangible bodies fade away. Why do we do this? Why do we create meaning out of the meaningless? We are yet to understand who we are, what we are. Time passes quickly, too quickly for us to find these answers yet we celebrate the passing of time. Such a valuable resource wasted on such materialistic goals. But what does it matter? If we are such little beings in our ever expanding universe why waste time on these answers which we know, truly, we will not find the answers to. So do not bother thinking about such things, or strive to achieve unattainable accomplishments. Enjoy your time, however little, while you are still here. Happy New Year.
