hey y’all just a thought, did you know you can discuss transandrophobia without insinuating that trans women/fems used to have “male privilege” before they transitioned? The term you’re probably looking for is “closet privilege” and that shit doesn’t exist because hiding who you are as a person is not a fucking privilege, it’s survival, and many transfems were still targeted and treated like outcasts before they even realised they were trans, let alone began their transition journey. I thought we were trying to move away from this idea that trans people have any meaningful acces to structural privilege, but congrats on simply projecting that radfem idea back onto other trans people instead of dismantling it entirely.

I'm truly convinced that antis think anyone under the age of 18 is a drooling baby in a sandbox. They infantilize kids of every age to hell and back to the point where I don't even believe the "children" that they think they're protecting exist anywhere outside of their own minds.

My problem comes from the normalization and celebration of paraphilic disorders on this site specifically under the disguise of disability or queer activism. A psychologist will NEVER, EVER recommend that you post about it or engage in an online community of enablers. Paraphilic disorders are not kink. Embracing paraphilic disorders is not disability activism.

You can be anti-contact and anti-enabling without being hateful or making assumptions about people who have a disorder, but people who run Para Blogs are not anti-enabling. The ProPara community has turned into a cesspool of enablers and legitimate pro-contact pedophiles who hide behind the fact that people have empathy for those with disorders they can't control. They've created a space where people brag about being pedophiles and celebrate attraction to children. This is the opposite of how the disorder is treated by professionals.

Stay away from fiction & communities that could cause you to relapse or backslide. Proshippers are not attracted to minors, our stories don't exist for pedophiles to displace their attraction onto.

The reasons paraphilic disorders are different from fetishes is because:

1. They include unwilling people or people who cannot consent, such as voyeurism or pedophilia

2. They cause the participant or others harm that is potentially lifelong

3. They prevent a person from functioning or adjusting in society

19th of June 2025: Canyon Bat

We’re doing another winged critter today, though closer to us on the evolutionary tree: the Canyon Bat (Parastrellus hesperus), also known as the Western Pipistrelle. They’re found in Southwestern North America, where during the day they roost in between rocky surfaces such as boulders [1]. They are the smallest species of North American bat [2], being only around 7 cm in length [3].

While they don’t migrate, they hibernate in mines and caves during the winter [1], but in the summer they tend to wake up exceptionally early. They start flying early in the evening, before the sun has even set, and stay up until the early morning hours [3]. This also helps stagger competition for resources such as water with other species of bats [4].

As most bats, they primarily feed on insects. Most of these are caught mid-flight, however one molecular study found the genes of insects in their faeces which are between 1.5 and 3 cm in length, which likely would’ve been too cumbersome for the small bats to consume in flight [5]. They eat around 20% of their body weight in insects during one hunting and feeding session [3].

They reproduce in spring and summer, with the females carrying a 40 day pregnancy to term in late May or early July, birthing either one or two young. Initially the mother and children will roost separately to the rest of the colony [6], until by August the children have learned how to fly and have become difficult to distinguish from adults [3].
