How much time do you spend thinking about a reply before you sit down to type?

What’s a grammar rule you notice other people ignoring the most?

Bedridden whumpee who notices each time they wake up that something has been done for them. A glass of water by their bed refilled, the blinds shut when the sun streams in too brightly, an extra blanket thrown over them when the caretaker noticed them shivering in their sleep. They’re still too tired to ever stay awake long enough to see and talk to Caretaker, but they’ll make sure to thank them when they’re feeling well enough for all they’ve done.

He’s sitting at the library’s help desk. Behind the computer he has a book in hand. It seems he’s very invested in what he’s reading. He doesn’t hear anyone approach the desk.

Another Andrew Headcanon: He’s a major bookworm and will read at least two books a month outside of what he has to read for college courses. And most of the time he has to read to specific music. If it’s studying or something for class he listens to Lofi music, but if it’s for pleasure then the music depends on the book genre. Creepy piano/Silent Hill soundtrack for horror genre, LOTR or other fantasy music for any fantasy/adventure novels etc. He doesn’t read non-fiction as often but he’ll usually put on classical for that.

Andrew is the kind of student who will forget to eat  because he’s so engrossed in studying that if you happen to put food in front of him, he’ll eat it without a second thought. This has led to Daniel and Taylor making a TikTok compilation of setting random foods in front of him to see if he eats it. At first they do stuff like chips or fries, sometimes a snack cake. Then the step it up to like a sandwich or chicken tenders. Mostly finger foods and snacks.

More Andrew Headcanon stuff:

Because it came up in a thread, I am now trying to figure out where our good boy Andrew and the others are potentially from. So here’s a couple points I wanna make that lead into the headcanon:

In a line of dialogue, Andrew mentions that the trip to Little Hope (i.e. Andover, MA) is his first trip away from home. This implies that even though he is a college student he is a commuter, meaning he still lives at home and either drives or gets a ride to the college for class.

The college they attend is likely a lesser known or community college. The group doesn’t strike me as a Cambridge or Harvard type of students/faculty.

Their college is within short-ish driving distance of Little Hope. This means they likely would go to somewhere like Northern Essex Community College and lives in nearby Haverhill, MA.

So basically he lives in Haverhill, MA.

Here’s some long term aftermath headcanons for Andrew!

Andrew has a scar in his forehead from where he hit his head. It’s not too visible in low light areas but you can normally see it when he’s outside during the day or in a well lot room. He’s a bit self conscious of it and it’s a near constant reminder of what happened.

Andrew used to love taking walks in the night or evening, especially on dreary, foggy days, but now he can’t bring himself to do so unless he absolutely has too. It reminds him of walking through Little Hope and causes him a lot of anxiety, especially when he believes he’s being followed.

He’s actually developed a mild paranoia disorder due to the PTSD he suffered from going through Little Hope. He does go to therapy and does take medicine to help with the anxiety.

His nightmares and sleep issues have increased greatly and it’s been worrying his parents, especially if he wakes up screaming in the middle of the night from them.

He leads her from the classroom and out into the courtyard. It was maybe a ten minute walk across the campus to the student union. They were lucky it was a nice day out, the gentle breeze ruffling his hair.

“Yeah, I still have one more class this evening, before I head back. I live in town anyway so I don’t mind hanging around. The quiet is kinda nice,” he said softly. He was usually a solitary person but after befriending his classmates he was more inclined to hang around them.

Looking out over the courtyard he sees how empty it is. Suddenly the breeze is a little less pleasant than before. The emptiness reminds him of that summer trip... His forehead still bears the scar from the bus crash. It’s more visible in the noon day sun.

Her hands don’t seem to be shaking as much now, although it’s harder to tell now that they were walking. “What about you? When do you head out?”

It wasn't unusual to see the class so empty, especially when everyone wanted a head start on their vacation. Andrew himself was a commuter to the college, his house being only a twenty minute bus ride away. That was why he decided to stick around.

For some reason he had thought Taylor would have left by now, but here she was still in the classroom. But something unusual did catch his eye. Her hands. They were shaking. Concern tugged at him reflexively so he'd asked about it.

Her answer stayed vague and she wouldn't meet his eyes. "Do you wanna talk about it? Class is over anyway, so why don't we grab some lunch?" He asked.

With the library already shut down for the break it gave him a lot more free time after class since he didn't have to work. He hoped that spending that time with his friend would help her feel better.
