percy jackson is a comedy actually because people keep being like "children of hades' fatal flaw is holding grudges........... they have demonic powers and evil urges........ theyre cursed to terrible fates and theyre all creepy and weird..........." and then the children of hades we meet are like. a girl scout, a tabletop gaming nerd, and a horse girl.

Jason Grace who wonders why Percy gets his memories back but he doesn't. Why Percy was allowed to grow up with his mother.

But Jason was stolen from his.

Percy gets to grow up surrounded by those who genuinely love him. People who love him enough to search for him when no one looked for Jason.

Percy gets to joke around with his father while Jason has never met Jupiter. The closest he's gotten to him is Zeus who very openly doesn't like Jason.

Percy even gets a sister and Jason loves Thalia but they're basically strangers.

Everything Jason's been told was all a lie. Everyone who's ever loved him was from afar, the only relationship he's ever had was all fake.

But he doesn't say it because he cares about Percy, because he deserves the best. He wants to be happy for him. Jason is at his side, helping him through his trauma of Tartarus.

And feeling horrible for any feelings of jealously and bitterness.

Because Percy's suffering, his life is far from perfect. He's getting the life he deserves. Percy's going to New Rome University. He's got the girl and love of his life.

He's going to live a more peaceful life. And it's everything Jason wants but never will have.

He knows that, he knows that even after leaving Camp Jupiter.

Jason has nothing to lose. His friends will move on and it's not like Camp Jupiter will ever mourn him. No achievements he gets will ever matter.

He realises the true differences between them is that Percy Jackson is human. He's completly and utterly and painfully human.

In all the ways that Jason Grace is not. He's nothing but a tool and a pawn. He will never know peace, he will never know love and care.

Everything about him from his memories to his personality was all manufactured. Jason was made for a purpose, designed to fall at the right moment just like a domino.

And it's time Jason accepts that. It was nice to pretend, just for a year that he was a person who deserved better.

But Jason knows the truth. So he writes his letters, cleans his dorm and leaves without a second word.

"Hey, Percy? Don't ever stop being you. I hope you have fun at New Rome, the welcome party should be a blast."

"I will but you're er starting to freak me out a bit man... You make it sound like you won't be there with me even though I invited you."

"I'm glad, that we got to meet. Maybe we'll meet again some day."

Just imagine if Jason got to hold Estelle for the first time, and he just starts to sob, because. shes so tiny and vulnerable, he thinks about how his own mother could even have the heart to abandon him when he was that tiny.

Genuinely VERY confused, why is the majority of the fandom blaming Jason for the downfall of his friendship with Reyna?

i legit came across like a handful of comments today like "Reyna deserved much better than dirtbag Jason, he was such a jerk to her, choosing Piper over her and not talking to her after he came back to camp jupiter"

like?? stop over victimizing Reyna in this situation, it isnt even that serious lmao its just teenage drama, she doesn't need pity for this. both Reyna AND Jason were accountable for their crumbling friendship, it wasnt all on Jason. Reyna made PLENTY of mistakes too they are LITERAL teenagers, stuff like this is normal ffs. She didn't send a search party after Jason to look for him, she never held a memorial service for him even after the camp basically thought he was dead, she never initiated a conversation with Jason either after he came back, and practically avoided him the entire time completely (she flat out avoided eye contact with him in BOO and intentionally ONLY acknowledged Piper who was standing next to him)

Also, Reyna did literally the same thing to Jason that people are bashing him for, The fandom's problem with him is that he shouldnt have developed feelings for piper bc it "betrays his connection" with Reyna. But anyone ever thought about how Reyna developed feelings for Percy almost immediately after he came to camp while simultaneously claiming that she longed for a relationship with jason?

you cant tell me she wouldnt have gotten with percy if he were single. be so fr rn. but apparently its completely alright if she moved on from jason with percy, but its illegal if jason moved on from reyna with piper, right? they owed eachother absolutely nothing. They were just friends.

Jason had no reason to even think reyna liked him that way since she canonically avoided him thoroughly after the whole venus mess.

this situation isnt black or white, i think yall forget that they are both literal children

I am highly against the ‘Thalia/Percy would be a partier who drinks and smokes’ agenda, when both of them have bad experiences with people who drank and smoked. I am a firm believer in the idea that Percy, Thalia, and Jason, can not be around people who drink without being on edge.

everytime i see a Jason brick joke i lose braincells. do y’all understand why he was hit in the head? because he was shielding Piper. his whole character is protecting people in the only way he knows how. he’s physical, he dove into the grand canyon and wrapped himself around piper so if they did die there atleast she wouldn’t get the brunt of the fall, he shields Leo and Piper behind himself whenever they’re in trouble and can’t charge, he was holding himself over Piper when there was an angry mob and wasn’t paying attention to anything else but getting Piper on the Argo, he dives into dangerous water to make sure Percy’s okay and talks down a god for him, despite his running out of air, he tries to grab Nico and get to him to shield him from Cupid, he needs to protect people, and he is constantly getting hurt because his need to do that clouds his ability to protect himself.

thinking about jason’s scar. how he got it when he was two, and thalia was nine. how their mom didn’t take care of them. how thalia had to basically raise jason herself

do you think she was terrified when she saw him bleeding? do you think, at nine years old, she had to call an ambulance because beryl was too drunk?

how long do you think thalia looked for jason after beryl ‘lost’ him? do you think she sometimes saw a bit of jason in annabeth? do you think she eventually accepted that he must be dead? do you think it hurt her more than any monster ever could?

thinking about how they only met briefly a few times, on quests, before jason died. how thalia is a hunter and has to live without him again for possibly decades or centuries. how they never really got to be a family. how thalia had to mourn him not once, but twice.

just. thinking about the grace siblings.

currently thinking about how percy attempted to end his life by suffocating himself underwater near the argo ii. but jason disrupted it and saved his life. then months later. jason was killed on a boat surrounded by water. and it just so happened to be on a quest that percy turned down.

Need fanfics in which whereas Nico is Jason’s hero. Like, literally. As in. They have come to a point where Jason trusts Nico so much that when he’s in danger, he believes that Nico can save him and he will. And it’s a new feeling to someone who’s been forged to be the exemplary soldier, the leader. It’s good to allow yourself to rely on others - like Jason always hopes Nico to know that he could ask for help should need be.

Anw everyone thinks Jason would never fall but Nico says “Stay there. I’m coming to save you” and Jason immediately swoons like a damsel in distress. 😩😩

Jason: considering the fact I can’t actually leave Camp Jupiter without express permission, even getting kidnapped without my consent for me labelled a traitor within about an hour, the fact I have no skills of navigating the mortal world because I’ve been in the army since I was 3 so can’t really leave to go to uni and the fact that I’m pretty sure I’m blacklisted from the New Rome University since when I asked if I’d be eligible they laughed in my Face I don’t think I really need an application
