Why You Should Make a Custom Cat Planner for 2022?
Did you know that being organized can benefit your health? From reduced stress to better sleep, planning and organizing are fantastic ways to make you feel more in control.
However, organization goes far beyond writing down a to-do list and hoping you'll have enough time and energy to complete it- you also need commitment, and most importantly, motivation!
So, if you've been trying to reap the benefits of planning and organization but have not yet found the right tool to make it fun and motivating, you've come to the right place. Keep reading to learn how to design a cat planner (or dog planner!) can help you become more organized this year.
Tumblr media
Benefits of Using a Planner
If used regularly, a planner can be a game-changer that helps you keep track of everything you have going on in your life. In addition, using a planner can come with incredible benefits:
1. Better Time Management
Although learning to manage your time is important, about 82% of people don't have a successful time management system. If you are one of them, you can use a planner to help you improve your time management skills and avoid getting overwhelmed by everything you have on your plate.
Using a planner can help you improve your time management skills by encouraging you to schedule your tasks.
2. Increased Productivity
Time management and productivity go hand in hand, and managing both using a planner can be life-changing. When you schedule out your tasks using a planner, you can get a better idea of your workload and organize your day in a way that optimizes your time.
Using a planner to designate a period in which all you have to do is focus on a specific task will do wonders for the overall quality of your life! You'll be able to finish everything on time and won't be stuck in a cycle of procrastination.
3. Clearer Priorities
Writing down your tasks in your planner will give you a clear idea of what needs attention immediately and what can wait. Learning to prioritize is key to being organized, and a planner can make it easier to identify the things that matter the most.
4. Reminders of Important Dates
Using a planner will ensure that you never forget about important dates and activities. You can use it to write down meetings, appointments, anniversaries, birthdays, etc. so that you never miss out on anything important.
 Why Personalization Matters
Motivation
Using any planner can help you become more organized. However, using a customized one tailored to you and your lifestyle can be a game-changer, especially if you feel like you need a tool that will incentify you and encourage you to use it daily.
Using a personalized planner can make you feel more excited about the concepts of planning and organization. Especially if you customize it using pictures of something you love (like your pets!), photo personalization can incentify you to use your planner daily.
If you open your planner every day and see pictures that make you happy, you will be more likely to make it a habit to open it regularly. Finding the motivation to start a new journey is always hard, but personalization can make it easier for you to feel more connected to your new planner.
Creativity
Personalizing your planner gives you an excuse to have fun and unleash your creativity. Adding your personal touch can help planning and scheduling feel less daunting. No matter what type of planner you want to create, at Life Photo, you'll have endless possibilities to make it as exciting as you want.
Meets Lifestyle Needs
When it comes to planning, one size does not fit all. Perhaps you need a daily planner to have a highly detailed log of your activities, or you need a weekly one to have a better overview of what's ahead. Whatever it is, your lifestyle matters, so why wouldn't you want to personalize your planner in a way that fits it?
Whether you want to create a cat planner, dog planner, or one that showcases something else you love, personalization means that you get to make a planner that works for YOU.
How to Create a Custom Cat Planner
If you have a million pet pictures lying around, creating a cat or dog planner can be an incredible way to personalize your book. Not only will it be fun to design, but it will motivate you to stay organized. After all, how can you ever look at a picture of your pet and not feel inspired?
Creating a customized pet planner at life photo is easy; all you have to do is follow these steps:
Pick a Planner Type
As you now know, getting a planner that fits your lifestyle needs is incredibly important to help you stay organized. At Life Photo, you can pick from a variety of planner types:
Daily Planner
Weekly Planner
Student Planner
Meal Planner
Budget Planner
These can be customized however you want, which means that any of these formats can become a dreamy cat planner!
Tumblr media
Choose Your Favorite Photos
Narrowing down your favorite photos of your pets can be extremely hard. The number of pictures you need will depend on your preferences and the type of planner you choose, but try to pick out a bunch to have options if you want to play around with the designs.
Design Your Dream Planner
Once you have a planner format that you like and a bunch of photos to fill it with, start designing! Life Photo makes it easy to arrange all of your pictures throughout the planner. You can also add layouts and text.
When you finish with every page on your brand new planner, add it to your cart and place the order. If you need a few days to complete your design, you can create an account and log in whenever you want to continue working on your planner.
Ideas for Designing a Cat or Dog Planner
Although adding your pet pictures to a planner is fun enough, there are many ways to be creative. If you want to create a truly unique pet planner, consider these ideas:
Edit Photos to Match a Theme
If you want to make your planner even more fun, you can edit your pet pictures so that they match a specific theme. You can do this for holidays, seasons, etc.! For example, if your birthday is in March, you can edit party hats and cakes on the images for that entire month to make it more fun.
If you want to take it one step further, you can even dress up your pets in cute costumes and have a photoshoot to get brand new photos for your planner!
Arrange Photos in Chronological Order
If you've had your pets for many years, you can use your planner to create a fun timeline of their lives. Start in January using all of your favorite baby pictures of them, and use every following month to showcase how much they've grown.
Doing this will turn your planner into a tool that helps you stay organized AND lets you take a stroll through memory lane.
Use Baby Pet Pictures
There is nothing sweeter than looking at pictures of your pets when they were babies. Therefore, if you want to create a planner that will make you gush and smile every time you open it, consider adding exclusively baby pictures of your pets.
Sure, your pets are incredibly adorable right now too, but how cute would it be to be reminded of their early days every time you sit down to plan out your tasks?
Create a Custom Cover Planner Today
No matter what approach you take with your designs, creating a custom cover planner is a fantastic way to stay motivated and organized throughout the entire year.
All you have to do is gather your favorite pet photos, pick a planner type that works for you, and start customizing! Whether your goal is to create a custom cat planner or dog planner, a Life Photo custom book can be the tool you've been looking for to get your life together.

Life Photo Sells Custom Planners with Pictures from Social Media
To kick off the upcoming semester, Life Photo offers custom planners with images that students choose from their social media accounts. Students choose a planner, upload photos and design the pages so their friends greet them everywhere they go.
When the new school year begins, students have so many responsibilities that friends and family members often get lost in the shuffle. Life Photo's custom planners allow students to take their friends, relatives and favorite memories with them. Students choose their planners, upload social media photos and design the layout to make planners that double as memory books.
Tumblr media
Life Photo designs their custom planners with photographers, Instagram models and selfie-takers in mind. Each planner's social media-friendly layout has plenty of space for crisp selfies, group photos and stunning landscape shots. Students can upload professional photography or candids from trips and family events.
One student had this to say about Life Photo: "State parks in Wisconsin and the Ice Age Trail have wonderful locations to take panoramic selfie photos. I created a photo day planner with selfies from half marathons I ran during this COVID year. If you like photography and running, you will like this selfie photo day planner. The best!"
Unlike most planners, which students throw away at the end of the year, Life Photo planners offer a scrapbook of trips, vacations and memories. They also serve as art books for professional and aspiring photographers. Years later, students can reminisce, look back on their education and read about dates and assignments that were so important at the time.
In addition to school planners, Life Photo sells custom meal planners, budget planners, books and calendars. Buyers upload their favorite photos for each one. Other products include custom art prints for customers who want to decorate their homes. Life Photo does all the work--shoppers just need to design their layouts, which is the fun part.
Life Photo launched in 2003 to help students, parents and individuals relive their favorite memories every day. Since then, customers have used their planners to keep track of recipes, budgets, appointments, assignments, events, vacations and much more.
If you need more time to edit, you can create an account on the Life Photo website to save your design and finish it whenever you are ready.

Custom Planner: How to Make the Perfect Gift for Mom?
Your mom deserves the world. You already know that- which is why it has been so hard to find the perfect gift for her.
Buying gifts for people you love is hard as it is, but when that gift is for the lady who gave you life, the standards become higher than ever. The truth is, finding a present that makes your mom feel special and seen is not as hard as you might think.
The key is to make it simultaneously functional and personal, which is why a custom planner might be the perfect choice for her. A custom planner will not only help her feel like an organized queen, but it will also become a daily reminder of how much you love her.
The best part? This perfect gift is only a few clicks away, so if you are within the 60% of consumers who prefer to purchase gifts online, you are in luck. Keep reading to find out how you can create and order a gift that your mom will gush over for the entire year.
Tumblr media
Choose a Layout
A custom photo planner is a fantastic gift for mom because you have complete control over the layout, which means that you can get her something that you know she will genuinely use. To get it right, think about what your mom's routine looks like, and try to personalize it in a way that will help to get her organized and ready for anything.
When you start customizing the planner, you'll have the liberty of picking out the size, number of photo pages, date page layout, and planner start day. These factors are essential to ensure that your gift is thoughtful and beneficial for your mom, so think about what she would like when going through this process.
Size
Getting the size right is an essential factor in ensuring that the custom photo day planner is perfect. For the custom weekly planner, you'll have two options: small or large. The small panner measures 7x9", while the large one measures 8.5x11".
Number of Photo Pages
Something that makes custom planners so unique is that you can add personal pictures. For this, you'll have the option of adding one picture page per week (that's 52+ images!), one per month (12+ pictures), or just a cover picture.
Date Page Layout
For the date page layout, you can choose to have a horizontal or vertical format. A horizontal design is excellent for task-oriented people, while a vertical one is fantastic for someone looking for a more flexible way to plan.
Planner Start Date
If you give your mom a custom planner on her birthday or during a random month of the year, she won't have to wait until January to start planning. You can pick out a particular start date so that she can begin using her new planner right away.
Tumblr media
Choose Pictures
Once you decide on all the layout preferences, it is time to take the concept of personalization to the next level. For this, you'll have to take out all of your photo albums and brace yourself for hours of reminiscing!
Choosing pictures for your mom's new planner is an exceptional process- you can browse through your photos or even ask other family members to send you images that your mom will appreciate having on her planner.
The number of pictures you'll need will depend on how many picture pages you choose while customizing the layout. However, it is always better to have extra images on hand in case you don't like how they look or if you want to add multiple images to a specific page.
For the best possible results, make sure that the images you choose are of good quality so that when the planner is ready, your mom won't stumble upon pixelated and poor-quality photos.
Once you have all the pictures you want to include on your mom's gift, you can upload them to the project on the Life Photo website and continue with the design of the custom planner.
Organize the Images
After you upload the pictures for your project, you can organize them and decide which image will go where. Having themes for each month is a fun way to make the planner even more personalized. For example, if you picked out a cute family vacation picture, you can use it to add a vacation theme to a summer month like July.
You can also pick out different layouts and create cute pages with multiple pictures. Whatever pictures you decide on, make sure to organize them in a way that has meaning- this will take the thoughtfulness of the gift to the next level.
The Cover
The cover of the photo planner will be the first thing your mom sees when she opens up her gift. So, make sure to pick out an outstanding image that she'll love to look at every single day.
Design and Add Captions
Once you have all your pictures organized, categorized, and uploaded, you can customize the planner to make it even more special. A planner is a fantastic way to be more productive and achieve your goals, but only if you take the time every day to open it and organize your time. So, make sure that you think about this and create a design that intensifies your mom to open her new planner regularly.
With the captions feature, you can not only add cute personal notes to make your mom smile, but you can also include encouraging and motivational quotes and messages. Adding captions is a fantastic way to make your mom feel more special and let her know you love her.
When you finish figuring out what you want your captions to say, take your time to work on the design and pick out the best color, font, and alignment for each. Then, pick out a background color that goes well with the page's aesthetic.
Tip: blue, orange, and green are colors that can help with productivity and concentration, according to color psychology. So, consider adding them as background colors on weeks/months when you know your mom might be busiest (i.e., holidays).
Once you finish designing the perfect custom weekly planner, you can add it to your cart and place the order! If you need more time to edit, you can create an account on the Life Photo website to save your design and finish it whenever you are ready.
Other Options for Mom
If your mom does not typically use weekly planners, you can still get her a custom planner that fits her lifestyle and preferences. At Life Photo, you have options to design a daily planner, budget planner, meal planner, and more. All of these can be customized and created just as easily as the weekly planner.
Daily Planner
A custom daily planner is perfect for any mom who needs extra space to organize their days. This planner is 7x9" and can have over 20 photo pages! With this option, your mom will have one entire spread for every day of the year, making it easy for her to stay focused on her busy schedule.
Budget Planner
A budget planner is a fantastic option for your mom if she loves to keep an organized log of her spending. This planner can be either 7x9" or 8.5x11" and customized with two photo pages per month. If your mom has always been an expert at spending and saving money, this might be the best gift for her!
Meal Planner
If your mom loves to cook, a meal planner might be the perfect custom planner option for her. With this planner, your mom can plan out all of her incredible menus every single week. This planner is an excellent tool for mom because it can help her visualize what ingredients she needs to buy every week.
The meal planner is 8.5x11" and can be personalized with one picture page per month.
Order a Custom Planner Today
Now that you know everything you need to do to get your mom the perfect gift, you are ready to create and order the custom planner. A planner is one of the best ways to optimize your time, set and achieve goals, and be productive and organized, which is why it is an excellent gift for the woman who does it all.
Remember to take your time personalizing every aspect of it to make sure your mom feels special and seen. So, gather your pictures, and start customizing your mom's planner today!

How to Make Your Own Yearly Planner Covers?
Are you tired of having a boring planner cover that looks like everyone else's? Consider designing custom planner covers so that you will always know which one is yours.
People may then comment on your new agenda and ask where you got it. And you won't have to worry about mixing it up with a coworker's planner.
Read on to learn how to make a photo cover for your planner.
Consider the Size
One of the most important things to consider when making planner covers is the size. This will help you figure out which photo will make the best custom planner cover.
If you have a planner and want to create a new cover, you'll need to know how big your planner is. That way, you can design a photo cover that will fit your current agenda.
However, if you're also going to design a new planner, you have more leeway. Think about if you need something more portable or if you can deal with a larger planner.
Then, you'll be able to choose the best size to use when creating your design. A smaller planner is great for use on the go, but it may not have as much room for photos or text.
Meanwhile, a large planner can let you be more creative with the images you include. But you may never want to use it if you don't have space for it in your bag.
Compare Layouts
Next, you should compare the different layouts you can use for your photo cover. You can keep it simple and have a photo take up the entire cover with a title for the planner in the middle.
However, you can make more unique planner covers. For example, you might only want to use the top area of the cover to hold a photo and leave the bottom part open for text or to keep it blank.
Another option is to use a vertical photo on one side of the photo cover. Then, you can add your text to the side of the image to help your custom planner stand out.
Vertical photos work well when it comes to using a selfie or a photo of anything you want. As long as the image is taller than it is wide, you can put the text and image next to each other.
If you have a rectangular photo, you can even design a planner cover to look like an Instagram post. Add your Instagram handle and some hashtags to make the planner look like social media.
Tumblr media
Determine the Purpose
Another thing to consider when designing your custom planner cover is the purpose of the planner. This is more important if you want to design your own planner pages, but it can also matter when creating a cover.
Think about if you want to add the cover to a daily planner. If so, you may want to use a relatively neutral photo that you won't mind looking at each day.
Maybe you have a special type of planner, such as for meals, school, or your budget. When designing student planner covers, you may want to use a photo that inspires you to study.
A good budget planner cover can have a photo that makes you want to manage your money. And if you have a meal planner, you can select a photo of your favorite dish.
No matter what your planner is for, make the photo cover your own. But knowing the planner's purpose can help you select an image that will make you want to use the planner.
Choose a Theme
Along with the purpose of your planner, consider if you want to give it a specific theme. For example, a student may want to make their student planner a bit more professional.
Then, they can take the planner to class and to meetings with professors without worrying about how the planner looks. The same is true if you have a daily planner that you use for work.
However, you may be able to make a meal planner cover a bit more fun. Maybe you use a photo that has more color, or you add text that you wouldn't use for a professional agenda.
Of course, you can make any planner as professional or cute as you want. Try not to let others' design opinions affect how you create the planner covers that you'll use.
That way, you can make sure to choose a photo and text that you'll enjoy. And you will be able to look forward to using your planner each time you open it.
Tumblr media
Decide on Your Start Date
If you're looking to create a planner cover for a new planner, consider when the planner will start. A good custom planner company will let you start the planner whenever.
Think about when your current planner ends if you have one. If you don't have a planner, you can have it start within the next month or so. Once you receive the planner, you won't have to wait long to use it.
Of course, the beginning of the year is an excellent time to start using a planner. But you may not want to wait until then. Instead, find a better date to use for the beginning of the book.
Select the Number of Photos
You should also consider how many photos you want to use in your planner, both on the cover and inside. If you're only designing planner covers, you can focus on choosing one image for each.
However, if you're also creating a custom planner, you can add more photos. Maybe you want to have one photo per week, so you look for 52 photos to last the entire year.
Or perhaps you want to keep it simple and add one photo per month for a total of 12 photos. Either way, knowing how many images you'll need can help you prepare for the planner cover design ahead of time.
Then, you won't have to scramble to find a good photo to put on the cover. And you'll be able to sort through all of the photos you have to choose the best one.
Find Photos
When creating planner covers, you want to have access to a few good photos. Even though you may only use one image, you should be able to switch things out as you customize the design.
Maybe you have some fun Christmas photos from prior years, so you add those to a folder to consider for your cover design. Or you might have photos from birthdays or other special events.
You may even have photos from random days throughout the year that you took for fun. Consider photos with good lighting and that you like the look of then make sure to organize those images in one place.
When adding them to your device, you should ensure the photos are all PNG or JPEG files. That way, you won't have to convert the file types later.
Fortunately, many cameras and phones use these file types by default. But if you have an iPhone and use a picture from that device, you'll need to convert it from Apple's HEIC file type.
Upload Photos
Now, it's time to start designing your planner covers. Once you narrow down your search for the best custom planner cover photo, you will want to upload that photo or a few options to the planner design tool.
Be sure to transfer your photos from your phone to the computer if you haven't done so already. Then, you can save yourself time, especially if you want to experiment with the design.
Of course, be sure to consider the cover layout and how that may affect how you crop the image you select. In some cases, you may not need to crop anything, but you never know.
To make sure you have a photo that works, you may want to have a few photos available. Then, you can swap them out if the first image you upload doesn't look as good as you thought.
Add Text
The best planner covers balanced images and text well, so be sure to leave room to type something. You can keep the text simple and title the book something like "Planner."
However, you can also add things like your name, the dates, and the type of planner it is. Then, you can customize the font you use to make the planner unique to you.
Along with the font itself, feel free to customize the text size, color, and position. This is your chance to get creative and make the planner cover something you'd want to look at and use regularly.
Once you like the look of the text and the image, you can proceed with ordering the cover.
Planner Covers Done Right
Designing a photo cover for a custom planner can be intimidating, especially if you aren't a designer. However, you can create a photo cover that looks good, and you can bring your idea to life.
Be sure to consider the size and layout of the cover as well as what elements you want to add. Then, you can make your planner covers unique.

Take Photos: 5 Different Types of Photography
Do you love to take photos? Do you have a passion for creative photography?
You're in good company. With amazing cameras on our smartphones, as well as traditional film and digital cameras, it's easier than ever to snap that perfect picture. In fact, experts estimate that people around the world take well over 1 trillion photos every year!
Like other art forms, there are many different types of photography to experiment with. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned professional, there's always more to learn about your favorite hobby.
Tumblr media
Keep reading and we'll shine some light on five fascinating types of photography to explore.
1. Landscape Photography
If you've ever admired a historical photo of a national park landscape, chances are the image was captured by Ansel Adams. His name is synonymous with landscape photography, and he invented the Zone System that photographers still use to balance light exposure.
Whether you love shooting mountains, beaches, meadows, or forests, you can tap into your inner Ansel Adams and capture alluring landscape photos.
The first step is to scout out your location and find the perfect vantage point to take your shot. Next, think about the lighting and which time of day will best illuminate the scenery. Use a compass to determine where the sun will rise and set and also consider where shadows will fall.
Finally, consider your composition. Use the Rule of Thirds to compose your image and position the most interesting element at one of the four intersecting points.
2. Portrait Photography
Since the first cameras were invented in the early 1800s, people were naturally one of the most popular subjects to photograph. In fact, many of the world's oldest known photographs include portraits of rulers, aristocrats, and everyday folks.
If your portrait attempts look more like awkward yearbook photos than dazzling human interest stories, try some of these photography tips.
For starters, consider the pros and cons of shooting inside or outdoors. Outdoor portraits can look amazing, but you have to factor in the time of the day, the lighting, and the weather. Shooting inside gives you more control of the lighting, but you'll need to give more thought to the background, the props, and the type of mood you're trying to create.
Next, focus on capturing genuine expressions and emotions. Forget the forced smiles and unnatural poses. Give your subject freedom to move around, get comfortable, and relax into the setting.
3. Macro Photography
Have you ever been amazed by a close-up shot of a flower petal, a tiny insect, or a droplet of water? If so, you're admiring the work of a macro photographer.
Generally, the world of "macro" includes anything captured at half of its life-size (0.5x) or larger inside the frame. These colorful, detailed close-ups are ideal for photo collages, canvas prints, or custom photo day planners.
If you're serious about macro, you'll want to invest in some extension tubes or true macro lenses. You'll also want to work with a tripod, which will give you clearer shots as you adjust the depth of focus and shutter speeds.
Also, your macro shots will turn out best if you use manual focus. At such a short distance, auto-focus often falls short of the results you're looking for. It's also fun to experiment with different focal points and distances.
4. Food Photography
You can't scroll through Instagram without seeing vibrant images of food from around the globe. From colorful curries to Italian pasta to decadent desserts, food photography allows you to "eat with your eyes" — even if you don't get to taste the dish.
How can you create food photos that will make everyone's mouths water? Whether you're an amateur cook or a professional chef, keep these tips in mind when you're photographing your creations.
First, pay attention to the lighting. A dimly lit restaurant is perfect for a romantic date, but it's not the best place to take photos of your dinner plate. Make sure your interior setting is brightly lit or, even better, take your photos outside in natural light.
Next, consider the background and any props you wish to include. Will that checkered tablecloth enhance your photo or detract from the main focus? Are there any shadows that will distract the viewer from the food on the plate?
Finally, remember to snap fast, as your fresh food might quickly collapse or melt! That way, you'll have only the best photos to use for your custom meal planner book.
5. Travel Photography
What type of photography encompasses all of the others we discussed above? Travel photography, of course! Traveling is the perfect time to try out your new skills and experiment with landscapes, portraits, food, and macro shots.
To bring your travel photos to life, make sure you straighten the horizon (you can always do this later when you're editing). Use leading lines to direct the viewer to your focal point, whether it's a winding path, a tall building, or a set of train tracks. You can also try framing your shots with a blurred foreground that adds depth to the image.
What sets travel photography apart from standard landscape shots is the inclusion of people. Whenever possible, try to include at least one person somewhere in the image. You might capture someone gazing thoughtfully over a canyon or taking a quiet stroll along the seashore.
This makes the viewer feel like they're right there with them and could inspire them to take a trip of their own. At the very least, you'll come home with incredible images to include in a photography day planner.
Which Types of Photography Will You Choose?
So, which of these types of photography sounds the most exciting to you?
If you're ready to expand your horizons (and your skill set), try some of the tips listed above. You're sure to be thrilled with the results!
Here's another important question: What will you do with all those amazing shots you capture? Did you know you can create a personalized planner for students, budgeting, meal planning, or daily inspiration?

Type of Photography: Nature Photography
Do you love being outside and in the wild and capturing every moment in a photograph? If so, you might have the makings of a nature photographer.
While there are several different types of photography, nature photography is one of the more popular types.
But what is nature photography and how can you become a nature photographer? Here are all the things you need to know about nature photography.
Tumblr media
What is Nature Photography?
Nature photography is a type of photography that focuses on photographing elements of nature, like landscapes, plants, animals, and so forth. The aim is to capture the beauty and mystery of nature.
There are amateur nature photographers and professional ones as well. While some photographers may manipulate a scene, they usually try to capture nature candidly and in the best way possible.
Ideas For Nature Photography
Nature is the perfect supplier of opportunities. Everywhere you look there's color, intrigue, and more. But if you're finding it difficult to find some images, here are some ideas for you.
1. Flowers
Flowers always offer amazing color, shape, and drama to your photos. Whether it's capturing one type or several in a field or a garden, you'll never find a lack of shots to do with flowers.
2. Sky
Either at night or in the daytime, the sky provides beautiful scenes of clouds, stars, sun and moonlight, birds, and more. Taking photos of the sky can be tricky at night because of the lack of light, so you'll need a specific lens and settings on your camera to make sure your lighting is sufficient.
3. Time-Lapse
Nature is in constant motion, and so are we, which means we don't always see the wonders it provides. Time-lapse photography offers you the ability to watch nature in motion, even if it's more of a video than an actual photograph.
You'll need a tripod and a specific type of video camera in order to take time-lapse photography.
4. Insects and Wildlife
Insects are small and often unseen, so taking photographs of them will reveal the most interesting details. If you live near a wooded area, you should have no trouble finding an array of spiders, grasshoppers, snails, butterflies, and so forth.
Wildlife is another great way to capture nature, though it takes much patience and preparation. Some wildlife becomes scared and may attack, so you'll need an understanding of how to properly take wildlife photos.
What to Do With Your Nature Photos
Nature photos make a great gift in a photo book or a photo planner. You can even sell your photos and make a little bit of money. Some people give them away as gifts or frame them on a canvas.
There are endless ways for you to share your nature photos with the world!
Nature Photography for You!
There are countless ways for you to indulge in nature photography and create memorable and beautiful photographs. No matter what type of nature photography you choose, make sure it's something that you love!

Types of Photography: Photography for Teens 101
Want to take a picture that shows your creativity and aesthetics with a camera?
The great thing about being a rookie photographer is that you are free to try all types of photography. Loaded with a camera, you can venture all and develop your skill in turn. However, as you gain more expertise, you'll notice that learning a particular style is tough if you don't understand it.
So, we'll help you learn some types of photography, what they are, and how you could exceed in any of them.
Portrait Photography
Portraiture is one of the most popular types of photography. Now, anyone can follow this kind of picture-taking with their smartphone. With the highest specs available, it's simple to aim and take photos.
A selfie is a common type of portrait. This is where you manually (not using a tripod or timer) take a picture with your webcam or smartphone. Other than that, there's also wefie, usie, and groupie, which refers to a selfie with multiple people.
The elegance of portrait picture-taking is that it lets you take a subject's character. For a striking photo, focus on your subject's great features with proper light, shadows, and range.
Still Life Photography
This famous photography entails capturing photos of inanimate objects. It spans over to product photos, by which AD firms have items shot for brochures and signboards. You can highlight one principal product or many that support a focal theme.
Landscape Type Photography
Those who like to explore have captured many landscape images. Unlike the popular idea, this kind of photography is not only bound to horizontal shots. Various landscape artists find that vertical photos let you get tall trees and peaks.
The new technology allows everyone more artistic opportunities with drones. This technology has grown easy to shoot a panoramic view showing more extents to our ranges.
Travel Photography
Travel photography may include a different subject captured while traveling. It could cover a lot of sub-genres, like portraiture, food photography, and cityscapes. As a hobby, you can try any of these types of photography as you explore new localities and enjoy new adventures.
For a photo contest, you can try the Youth Travel Photographer of the Year category. Winners have their photographs displayed online, in books, and viewed worldwide.
Pet Photography
Pet picture-taking is great photography for teens, and you can have more fun taking photos of your pet. That's since you don't need to worry about having your subject look great, and you can try unique ways. Also, experiment with digital photography; you can take many pictures with no film to waste.
Food Photography
Food photography would be a bit hard a century ago. Luckily, today's generation has led us on taking pictures of our food, either for fun or for selling purposes.
By the phone camera specs today, it might not be necessary to apply a professional camera. A fair camera phone with proper lighting is excellent for enticing food shots and a great addition to your photo planner.
Which Types of Photography Would You Choose to Take?
It's almost unlikely to pick a list of the various types of photography that you can learn and finally gain from it. For your photography hobby or career, it can be tricky deciding which way to take. Various photographers try many routes in their work until they get the one that benefits them.
The opportunities are limitless, and discovering your niche can take time. If you need help creating a photo planner for either a hobby or for your school, head on over to Lifephoto!

Teaching Executive Function Skills to Young Adults
If you struggle with executive function into your teenage years or beyond, it isn't "a phase." It means you face an uphill battle learning important but often very frustrating skills, all while also facing the usual challenges life throws at you. That journey of self-improvement is hard enough. A nice custom planner or some supplemental EF courses aren't superfluous; they're tools to master oneself. One interesting element of using a custom planner with pictures is they can serve as "anchors" for one's memory. It's estimated humans are about 65% better at remembering things with a visual component. For example, it can be hard to remember what you've written down in your January schedule. However, it gets much easier if you remember what you wrote down on the page next to a selfie of you and your dog. It's a simple trick but an effective one. These are concepts that are easy to lose track of if you're a parent looking in from the outside. You might think your child only needs to work a little harder to succeed but it's more complicated than that.A nice planner is also a carrot rather than stick approach. Working hard to avoid failure can work but is stressful. Learning to sharpen your memory thanks to a useful tool with fun pictures in it is a more positive influence helping to convey the same skills. Will any one thing guarantee they master executive function? Of course not, it's always going to be a process and every person is different. But with enough useful tools deployed in the right ways, they will get closer and closer to their goal. The idea of some teenager selfies mixed with a calendar helping a student can be hard to process. It seems so simple! The truth is that simple solutions are often also the most effective. We often underestimate the ways executive function impacts us. It's more than some buzzwords; executive function is critical to making and executing plans.
It's one of those sets of life skills for teens that's going to help carry them through early adulthood and beyond. Today we want to help parents and guardians better teach these skills to their teens, in a way that can be both fun and engaging.
Tumblr media
The Basics of Executive Function
Let's start with a simple but important question: What is executive function?
It's a phrase we hear a lot in academia but it's also one many parents only have a vague understanding of. At its core, executive function is the set of skills we need to execute plans. However, it requires more explaining than that.
Diving deeper, there are three main areas of these life skills for teens and adults, which work together to help us accomplish big tasks. These are:
Our working memory
Our ability to think flexibly
Our self-control
Weakness in one of these areas is going to make executing long-term plans much more difficult. Meanwhile, being strong in these areas tends to result not only in better scores academically but better life prospects in general.
Most experts agree these are pretty critical skills for children and teens to have. Developing them pays off in huge ways in almost every age category, including into adulthood, and lacking them can have major consequences.
While many people learn these skills naturally, not everyone does. This can sometimes result in someone feeling stupid or incompetent when they just need to practice their executive function skillset.
Tumblr media
Why Some Teens (and Adults) Struggle?
There are plenty of reasons someone might struggle with executive function. For example, over 90% of kids with ADHD struggle with executive function and this won't go away as they get older without time and effort.
While executive function is an important set of skills, it is a learned set of skills, not something that comes completely naturally. In some ways this is good news; struggling with these skills now doesn't mean it has to be forever.
If you want to help a teen or an adult in your life, the trick is finding an effective approach for them to learn these skills. We admit this can be easier said than done. Many already feel disheartened and might think further efforts are a waste of time.
For teens, it can help to try and get their teachers on board. Teachers who are cognizant of a student's unique challenges can be a huge help in developing their executive function skill set.
There are also classes aimed at various age groups to help people develop these skills. Wherever someone is in their life journey, these courses can be a big help when nothing else seems to do much good.
For today, we want to focus on something a bit more granular. There's a tool; it's available right in our store, that can do some real good for those who struggle with planning. Its ability to help is even right in the name!
Planners can make for great teen gifts, especially for those who are struggling with memory and planning. They can help reinforce life skills for teens that are important but while still staying fun all the while.
The Value of a Good Planner
One of the biggest challenges teens and young adults who are still trying to develop their executive function skill set run into is school. Academia, by default, requires a lot of the sort of planning they may still struggle with.
It isn't only bias on our part to say that a teen planner, especially one aimed at education, can help in this regard.
A well-designed student planner is like a hub for all the important plans a student needs to remember. Projects, homework, and more can all be written down in a clear, easy-to-process way.
This is great for those who struggle with executive function because it allows them to lay out their work schedule day by day. It's much easier to meet a project deadline if you can see when it's due on a regular basis.
Remember, many students who struggle with executive function have genuine problems with their working memory. Being able to hold important details somewhere safe and easy to access can pay huge dividends.
Custom planners can also help with self-control if used correctly. A teen or young adult can schedule "fun" days and "work/project" days. By knowing a fun time is guaranteed up ahead, it's often way easier to buckle down and work in the present. Even a good planner is also unlikely to cost as much as the average college textbook. If it helps improve a student's test scores and ability to plan, most parents would argue they're more than worth it.
Tumblr media
Getting into the Mind of a Struggling Student
We understand that the idea of a nice custom planner for a student struggling with executive function can seem a bit much to some parents. You might ask, "Why don't they just make a note on a piece of paper?"
That sort of question is understandable but is often a result of your having a different life experience than your child. If you never struggled with executive function the way they have, you might not know what it's like.
For many (perhaps most) adults, the idea that a note on the fridge is enough to remember and plan for a task is logical. You keep a vague order of what needs to happen in your head, write a small note down, and figure the rest out as you go.
This works for a huge swathe of the population. The odds are good it works for you. However, as you might imagine we're leading up to, it doesn't work for those who struggle with executive function.
Planning when you have issues with executive function can feel a lot like juggling a ball, with each new important task adding another ball one has to keep up. Vague, simple reminders won't always be enough to even remember a given task.
A planner allows these people some extra mental space. By being able to write down a project's requirements, with its due date on a clearly labelled calendar, things can better fall into place.
They probably can't handle the chaos of having to manage a bunch of sticky notes and scrap papers with various due dates written on them. But a neat, organized teen planner they can carry? It's an easier task.
When Fun is More than Fun
This gets into what we mean when we write, "When fun is more than fun." The more someone cares about a planner, the more they will use it. If it was fun to make and feels cool to have, it will be easier to remember where it is and what you've put in it.
If we accept a planner is a useful tool for those who struggle with executive function, a new question emerges. What kind should you buy for them?
We'd argue the answer is a fun one. That isn't only an attempt to upsell either; there's real value to a custom photo planner that a given person likes the look of and attaches some meaning to.
Let's take, for instance, our teen selfies planner. The idea behind this planner is that it can serve not only the role of a planner but also a photo album. It can fit more than teenager selfies too; any photo of the right size will work.
With its photo cover and dozens of internal spots for additional photos, it lets a teen (or adult) plan while also very much feeling like the planner is theirs. It's one of those teen gifts that can carry real emotional weight behind it.
Photos can serve as a positive motivator to help inspire users to visualize their goal, set and meet timelines, document success and failures, and more. A big value add of selfies is they can be great for motivating.
Moreover, fitting in some teen selfies (or whatever other kind of photos they want to add) is fun. It can be a cool project for them to design their own and then use it to start overcoming their issues with executive function.
Self-Improvement is Hard Enough
You might think your child only needs to work a little harder to succeed but it's more complicated than that.
A nice planner is also a carrot rather than stick approach.
If Planning is Tough, Let Us Help!
If you're curious about getting one of our teen planners to help someone in your life practice planning and executing those plans, register with us! They deserve a planner customized to make their journey as easy as can be.
Mastering executive function is harder for some people than for others. It isn't fair but it's true. If a teen or young adult in your life is struggling, the right tools can be a big help.

Student Planners: Improving SEL and Executive Functioning Skills
Many parents have daily planners to keep all the activities in their lives organized. Getting a planner for your child may not have been something you've thought of. It can help them improve social-emotional learning and develop life skills.
Students can learn executive functioning skills that teach them self-management tools. Student planners help kids learn organizational and planning skills. These tools will help them not only in school but long-term as well.
Read on for more information on how a student or school planner can help your child or student flourish.
What Is Social-Emotional Learning?
Social-emotional learning is the process of developing self-control, self-awareness, and interpersonal skills. Strong skills in this area will help students better deal with everyday problems. They will thrive professionally, academically, and socially.
Using SEL as a foundation teaches children how to solve problems efficiently. They will master tools for self-discipline, emotion management, and impulse control. It creates positive and long-term effects on children and adults.
When implemented in schools and education, SEL promotes excellence and educational equity. Students will feel empowered when they are taught strong skills for SEL.
Some of the benefits of SEL are:
Improvements in emotional and social skills, relationships, grades, and attitudes
Overall long-term improvements in students' attitudes, skills, grades, and prosocial behavior
A decline in behavior problems, anxiety, and substance use
Implementing and teaching skills that promote social-emotional learning provides benefits for students.
What Are Executive Functioning Skills?
Executive functioning skills are self-management tools that help students achieve their goals. Students need to be able to:
Focus their attention
Manage their emotions
Reflect and revise their tactics as things change
Having a solid foundation of social-emotional learning will set students up for success. There are certain primary skills included in executive functioning skills instruction. Learning these skills is important for students to become more independent.
Organization
Students will be able to arrange their thoughts or materials in an orderly way. Learning organization helps them keep track of their belongings.
Time Management
Students are able to organize their schedules and complete their tasks on time. They will also learn how to move from task to task without getting frustrated or missing a deadline.
Planning
Students learn how to think ahead and create plans to complete their projects. They are able to make a list of things that need to be done and figure out what's a priority.
Working Memory
Working memory is the student's ability to store information in their minds and use it later. It helps with student's short-term memory and adds to their classroom success.
Self-Control
Students who practice self-control are able to restrain from emotional or physical outbursts. Learning this skill helps students think before they react and remain calm.
Adaptable Thinking
This skill gives students the ability to adjust to different situations and problem-solve. It also helps them look at situations from other people's perspectives.
Self-Monitoring
This allows students to reflect and evaluate how well they are doing on a certain task. It helps them track their progress on something and see where they need to make adjustments to improve.
How Can a Student Planner Help?
Learning time management skills is one of the tactics of executive functioning skills. It also:
Reduces student stress
Eliminates ineffective habits for studying and homework
Prevents learning disabled students from experiencing feelings of overwhelm and stress
Increases productivity
Teach students how to break their assignments into smaller sub-tasks. They'll be able to create a schedule that is manageable for them and whatever it is they need to accomplish. Students will also be able to track their achievements as they cross off items they complete in their planner.
This will help build their momentum and self-confidence as they hit their goals throughout the week. They will work harder to keep hitting each of their milestones.
Implementing Student Learning Tips
Using a planner yourself will set a good example for your child. They will see you using a planner to plan out family events, daily choices, and other activities.
Pick out a unique planner that is customized with a photo on the front. They will be excited to have something that is unique to them and doesn't look like the average notebook or planner you can get at the store. Making them part of the process of picking out a planner will drive their engagement.
They can also use their planner as a study guide. Students can use blank note pages to write down aspects of an upcoming test they're struggling with. Students can add that to their planner and focus on different things each day in preparation for a big test.
A planner is something students can easily slip into the side pocket of their backpack. Make it part of their morning routine. Go over your own planners at the kitchen table as a family.
Encourage your child to make some notes in the notebook section and talk about them at the end of the day. Discuss how the notes helped them and what other things raised that weren't written down.
Developing the habit of using the planner is essential to learning executive functioning skills. Learning time management and planning with student planners will set your child up for success.
Choosing the Best Student Planners
Social-emotional learning is vital for giving students the tools to thrive in school. Executive functioning skills will give them the tools to make them well-rounded people. Student planners can help with time management schools and improve their self-confidence.
Customize school planners at LifePhoto with personal photos. It can be personalized with a photo on the front, one for each month, or even one per week. Your child can completely customize the planner with 12 to 52 photos, making it something that is uniquely theirs and they are proud to show off.
