There has to be some kind of in between. This is not sustainable. It’s like… you can be together with someone and it feels like magic. You feel protected, no one’s gonna fuck with you, and you fit like puzzle pieces. He says things that make your heart beat really fast. He shows you things that make it race in a way you’ve never felt before. True adrenaline. And then you’re away from each other and you feel smothered. Calls. Every day. Every morning. Lunch breaks. Before work. After work. For hours. Late nights. You’re running out of things to say and you need like just a couple days of not speaking except when you feel like it. But then it’s “we haven’t talked before bed since Friday” and it’s just like… but we talked all day so does it really fucking matter right now? I just want one day with no one talking to me. I’m so tired of it.

The weekend was a nice break. Which is fucked honestly. I’ve learnt to give someone my time when I’m with them through all of this. Don’t look at my phone, really invest in the conversation in front of me. And at 1 in the morning on Saturday night I was sitting on a person who’d never met me in this place before. Looking at him with my work eyes on but with so much more than just “let’s get this bread.” It was more like… let me show you this other side of me you may not know, because for the very first time in our whole lives, everything to create this character is working. I am not that person but that person is me. In every day life I am not this person but when the world is not watching I feel more free. I care less. Im liberated from the girl who has to behave a certain way. I don’t know how I figured it out but i did and it is you and me in this crowded room and I can’t recall that any music was bumpin but there was you and there was me and for some reason that seems to have changed so much.

It seems to me that there is a shift in the energy when I am this person. It is love at first dance.
