   ❝ i wouldn’t be away for so long if you were around more. ❞  a childish response to match his own, lustrous eyes are half-lidded & pupils the size of tea saucers ; she still smiles so sweetly, intoxicatingly so, even. 

     They have met at their usual rendezvous, an hour or so after evening has set in. both are hunters playing their parts in their own territories, have a few similar methods, but have very different ways dealing with how their results turn out. 

     A fellow predator being hunted isn’t so unheard of, not in evelynn’s case. of course, she fancies herself the superior hunter, as her charm & wit have fed the brunette’s ego & the flames of his rather.. nontraditional way of thinking.

     Sitting so close to each other, it’s a wonder he didn’t cup her face so possessively, like an actor to their mask ; but she won’t complain, because it allows her to remove her chin from its captor, & in return her own hand grasps at his wrist. her face then moves once more, but now seeking refuge in his palm. with his upper-torso distracted, she takes the initiative to nudge her knee against his, a challenging glint in her golden gaze.

   ❝ give me a reason to stay, then. ❞
