@marley-mckinnonā
sirius had decided to get as drunk as possible on this hogsmeade trip, have fun and make use of it. and what better companion would he have for this task than marlene mckinnon? their relationship was a bit complicated, sure -- but she was still his friend and lots of fun, both qualities that the black appreciated. he headed towards her when he noticed her sitting at the bar at one of the pubs and took the seat next to hers, his lips turning upwards into that usual smug smile of his.Ā āyou were looking a bit lonely, mckinnon, so iāve decided to grace you with my presence. no need to thank me or anything.ā he teased as he raised a hand to get the bartenderās attention and give his order, before turning his attention back to the blonde.Ā āwhatāre you up to?ā

leo hadnāt moved from his place in the back of the pub, but so many ran forward and back that he couldnāt have gotten a great look even if he wanted to. he just knew his father was out there, chanting and looking completely ridiculous. to tout that saying without any tangible proof, it was foolish. this was more of the grasping at straws he already knew was going on at home. it pissed him off to no end, his father was being stupid and the notts were not known to be unintelligent. he smirked without humor and spoke up to the old friend who was surprisingly close.Ā āitās pathetic, really.ā he agreed though it would be odd or even offensive to his slytherin friends if they heard him. but they werenāt here right now and no one else could hear them over the chanting.
sirius was surprised to see an older friend beside him, much less agreeing with him. then again, the black had always known that leo was smart, unlike the rest of them. but just how much could he trust him? seeing him around with regulus, being the older brother figure to him that sirius failed at being just didnāt sit well with the gryffindor. was it all suspicion or simply bitterness? he refused to admit either. the fact that the people who held the attack were most likely relatives of both of them, people they knew, sat down at dinners with once upon a time wasnāt much of a relief either.Ā āyou reckon they shouldāve tried harder? the execution couldāve been better, really. iād give it three out of ten, for effort and dramatics.ā sirius spoke before taking another sip of his beer and taking a slight pause.Ā ābut i imagine your friends wouldāve liked it.āĀ

letters would surely be sent home to their parents, giving word that hogsmeade had been attacked and regulus was sure that there would be plenty of parents who would their children out of school to try again next year. but it wouldnāt make any difference. the death eaters had said it themselves, the dark lord will rise and then everything would be right with the world once again. if they wanted to fear the future, so be it.Ā
truthfully, he wasnāt much of a drinker. a glass of wine at dinner every once in awhile, but never enough for him to get drunk. that was the sign of a weaker man, needing to escape using alcohol. that didnāt stop him from taking a sip of his red currant rum, a cruel smirk on his face. it only grew when he noticed sirius in the pub with him, able to see more clearly now that half of the patrons cleared out.Ā āwhatās wrong, sirius? afraid of the future?ā
sirius refused to turn around when he heard the familiar voice beside him, but eventually he did have to do so. a part of him missed and loved his younger brother - perhaps for what he used to be and what he couldāve been if sirius was a better brother. but still, another part of sirius just wanted to straight up smack regulus in the head everytime he spoke.Ā āme? not at all. my futureās what i make it.ā sirius decided, not letting his confident facade fall apart for even a moment while still subtly making sure that no one else could overhear their conversation. he still cared enough to protect his brother. ābut perhaps you should be, reg. your future is whatever father and mother decide for you -- besides, now you lot have got to find another bloodthirsty clapped psycho to worship, donāt you? that canāt be an easy task.āĀ

just when sirius had an ounce of hope that the world would become a better place with voldemort being dead, he was proven wrong once again. chaos emerged around him as the sky darkened and the chanting began. the dark lord will rise, they said. a party trick, sirius thought. they were all desperate to keep their control over everyone and their agenda alive. he refused to believe any of it. hell, if it depended on him, the black would make sure that none of it was true.Ā
the windows of the pub he was in shattered as the crowd struggled to get out in their panic -- he couldnāt quite see if there were any injured, though at the end there were few people who remained inside. sirius took back the butterbeer heād previously ordered and took a sip.Ā ābullshit. fucking bullshit -- thatās all this is.ā he muttered to himself and anyone around him listening, feeling his anger rise.Ā

When sheād come back to Hogwarts after the summer holiday, Lily had been feeling optimistic. The summer had been quiet. Was it naive of her to hope that it remained that way? Voldemort had fallen and his followers seemed to take a step back. It didnāt stop the name calling, but that - Lily had grown used to.Ā As Head Girl, Lily tried her best to keep a brave face despite the prejudice. She tried to remain strong for the younger years who were just like her. Sometimes it was easier said than done. But Hogsmeade was one of her favourite places and she wasnāt going to have her fun ruined.Ā
The redhead was distracted, her green eyes peering into the various shops that she passed. She wanted to pick up some sweets, but other than that, the day seemed free. A particularly flashy display in a window caught her attention and before she knew it, she was running head on into someone else.Ā āMerlin!ā She muttered as she jumped back. Green eyes wide, Lily apologised profusely, āIām so sorry. Let me buy you a butterbeer to make up for it?āĀ
hogsmeade had always been one of siriusā favourite places, zonkoās joke shop and the numerous pubs being the main reason why he enjoyed it so much. not to mention now that he was eighteen, the black didnāt have to forge orion and walburgaās signatures any more, which was surely a relief. sirius had been walking around the streets carelessly, when suddenly he felt someone bump into him. the gryffindorās lips turned upwards into a small smile as he recognized the person in front of him.Ā ābit distracted, arenāt we, evans? what were you thinking of? or should i rather ask who?ā sirius teased -- he simply couldnāt help it.Ā ānow, i sure wouldnāt mind a butterbeer.āĀ

( CISMALE , HE/HIM ) SIRIUS BLACK is a GRYFFINDOR whose favorite subject is DEFENCE AGAINST THE DARK ARTS, maybe because they are WITTY but also RECKLESS. They might be so popular because they look like ARON PIPER and they are a PUREBLOOD, can you believe they are a SEVENTH YEAR? rumors say they support OOTP. where do they go from here?( cat, 21, she&her, gmt+1 )
sirius is the firstborn son of orion and walburga of the ancient, noble house of black. he was the heir, which meant that from the moment sirius was born, he would have to be taught how to become a proper pureblood son. his parents couldnāt offer him any love or affection; but punishment, restrictions and torment on the other side, they could provide anytime. though the worse they treated him, the more sirius defied them.Ā
the disappoinments didnāt end at hogwarts when sirius got sorted into gryffindor - once again, he continued breaking his familyās traditions. it was the first time he was out of hisĀ ābubbleā, meeting people who his parents wouldnāt have approved of. james potter, remus lupin and peter pettigrew werenāt just his best mates - they were his brothers.Ā
at this point, sirius would do anything to piss off his parents. he began to embrace muggle culture, specifically their music and clothing. heād hang gryffindor banners all over his room, even if his mother kept burning them. heād get bad grades on purpose to bringĀ āshameā upon the blacks even furthermore.Ā
the summer before sixth year though, sirius had decided heād had enough. it was completely impulsive when he packed his bags and left, never looking back - at first, he had no idea where he was going to go or what he was going to do but thankfully, the potters were kind enough to take him in, so it all worked out at the end. the only thing sirius regrets leaving behind was regulus, his little brother - perhaps if heād tried harder, he couldāve been saved. maybe he wasnāt a lost cause, after all.Ā
now that voldemortās dead, sirius feels relief. but a part of him knows the fight isnāt quite over yet.Ā
personality wise, sirius is a riot. his attention span is non-existent and he thrives in chaos. he usually doesnāt think before he speaks or acts, which often lands him in trouble. heās matured a bit more now that heās in his last year, though sirius does still enjoy a good prank.Ā
despite it all, heās still a black and sirius could definitely be considered arrogant.Ā
thereās a reason his animangus form is a dog - sirius is incredibly loyal to those he cares about and would do anything to protect them.
heās also incredibly stubborn - arguing with him is like talking to brick wall. heās slow to forgive and can hold a grudge.
sirius doesnāt do relationships -- meaningless flings and one-night stands are all heās willing to do.Ā
heās bisexual and open about it
a lot smarter than people give him credit for - if only heād put it to a good use
smokes like a chimney, can always be seen with a cigarette between his lips
overall fun to be around, but he can definitely be a bit too much for some people
refuses to admit his unresolved trauma and how exactly he knows so much about the unforgivable curses
