   She's sure Vaggie knows the answer to that question, considering how the princess could be. Always putting others before herself, she can handle it, it's no big deal! Others first and then herself. That was how she worked more often than not, and would probably continue to do so.

   There's silence as she listens, expression unreadable as Charlie slowly processes everything she's told. So Alastor was acting strange too .. she had noticed his absences but chalked it up to silently recovering on his own. There's a slight change of expression to hint that she's hurt, just a little bit because more secrets are being kept. Yes, it is a big difference that she's hearing this directly from Vaggie this time instead of an outside source but still.

   There's a cracked smile, forced, not wanting to indicate that she's hurt by all of this and while it hasn't been years .. No matter. They're talking about this now. It's fine, it'll be sorted out. Neither of them will be leaving this room until they do so. She won't run and avoid it like she did after the hearing due to the incoming battle. She'll face it head-on. 

   There's a deep breath as the princess grips at the fabric of her pants, easy does it, be patient and calm. 

" Well. At least he's not dead .. dead. I .. didn't want him to die. I specifically stopped my father because I wanted to show mercy. I wish Niffty hadn't done that, but it's already done and over so we have to put that behind us now. I'm .. surprised to hear that you're talking to him. Vaggie .. you knew I would've tried to offer him a place in the hotel and a chance at redemption. Why'd you keep that from me? Never mind, we'll discuss that later. But I'm glad to hear he has someone to talk to. Especially since .. "

   There's a pause as she shakes her head, perhaps Vaggie already tried to bring Adam to the hotel for all she knew, it's not like she'd purposely hide things from Charlie .. right? Maybe there just wasn't the chance to bring it up with everyone being so busy. 

" I don't .. know what to say about Vox and Alastor, and I'll talk to him about that later. But what's this thing you're talking about? Please, don't hide things from me, if it's something I can help with, tell me. "

It takes Vaggie a huge deal of self-control not to frown at Charlie's words. She can tell that her girlfriend doesn't truly mean them, that this is not okay, and honestly? She can do nothing but agreeing with that sentiment. The situation between them is all the kind of wrongs, and it needs to be set straight.

She owes the princess that much.

Still, she can't help tensing when Charlie admits that she has something she wants to discuss too. That doesn't sound good, especially since she has an inkling of what that might be about. Now that the battle is over and that the Hotel is rebuilt, there's only so long they can ignore the huge winged elephant in the room.

"I...Are you sure you want me to go first? Because I have no idea of where to start from," she admits, after a few moments of hesitation. "I mean, I guess that I should start from the beginning, but...the real beginning is...ages ago."

She's not making sense, is she?

"Okay, so...Adam, he's...not dead? Or well, he did die, but now he's...down here. With us. I'm not sure if that makes him a demon, or a fallen angel, but...the line is very thin there? I mean, I don't even know what I am anymore, so..."

Great, now she's rambling. For fuck's sake, she needs to get herself together.

"Anyway, what matters is that he's...around, and I've known for a while. I and Alastor have. I told him because I needed his help with...this thing and we're dealing with it." A pause. "No, scratch that, I am dealing with it, he's just driving me fucking crazy. We were supposed to work together, but instead he's off doing...whatever with Vox and I can't..."

Ooookay, now she's throwing out too much at the same time. Vaggie forcefully stops herself and takes a deep breath in.

"Sorry, it's just...a lot. The real starting point is that I've been hanging with him. With Adam, I mean. You know how I'm always texting? I'm texting him. I know this sound like it came out of nowhere, but...it didn't. We have...history. Lots of it, from when I was...you know."

   There's a brief moment of freezing up in response, but Nimue soon lets out a sigh and relaxes. She knows the other doesn't mean harm so she'll let it go for now. Pocketing her phone once Black Star gets the names down, she lightly pats them on the back in return, not truly comfortable with returning the hug fully herself.

" Just promise me you'll be careful, and if anyone tries to hurt you, come tell me okay? I'll do my best to help out. " There's a brief pause before she shrugs. " Sure, Pentious is busy at the moment so I have some free time. I'd offer to get coffee but I can't drink anything caffeine-related since it makes me sick so .. do you have any ideas? "

"Oh, okay" gaped Black Star, nodding her head a couple times before Nimue begun to type into her phone's search bar. When the list of dating apps appears, the tiny sinner gasps as she opens a Note Taking app on her own phone, then hurriedly types in the names of the dating apps she sees on the other cat's phone.

"Th-Thank you so much!" Cheered Black Star, wrapping her arms around the other in a hug without asking. The grey-furred sinner was so happy that now her tail was wagging for a few moments. "Say, I-I know we just met and all, but uh.. w-would you wanna.. hang out a bit?"

   There's a brief hint of nervousness that crosses his face, he doesn't exactly .. keep up with much here, or anywhere for that matter. He hears good and bad about specific demons and even angels. His gaze however does flick up to the ad as a more apologetic expression crosses his face as he looks back down at her. She didn't need to explain much more, he knew what kind of people the Vee's were. 

" Come now, I was only trying to lighten the mood with it. I'm sure you don't get much of that down here. Especially if you're working with them. I meant no harm by it, if that brings any assurances. "

   While he doubts it does, he does want to try and make it known that he meant no ill will.

" I'm afraid I don't keep well informed on who works with who. Very seldom do I get small breaks like these to stop and occasionally talk to others. I wish I could offer help, but I'm afraid I have no say in what happens after I guide a soul. "

Ains did not, in fact, recognize who this guy was at first. But that was primarily because after hearing that stupid ass line, she was just trying NOT to look at him -- but then ... the voice triggered something in her mind. A gunshot, pain blooming through her chest as red stained her work uniform, & then ...

Him.

Oh, she remembered who he was now. Death. This realization actually made her relax, oddly enough, & his lame line was all but forgotten.

"Was the pickup line really necessary to check in on me?" Her tail flicked behind her as she rolled her eyes slightly, but she seemed less annoyed with him now. "I've been fucking PEACHY, or do you not pay attention to Hell magazines?" Sarcasm dripped from her tone, & as if some cruel irony, an ad flashed on the tv in the bar that showcased her -- 'Creamsicle' -- with another model, showing off some new perfume line by Velvette.

   It's hard not to respond, considering it was almost amusing to her. The question however, makes her raise an eyebrow. Surely he's gotta know that she's not the one in charge of social media based things but rather just fashion and being the main face of the Vee's.

[ Velvette ] ;; We don't really have time for that anyway, maybe if we got someone on board we could have them do it instead, though I think Val's side of shit covers what we need.

Arata hadn't been expecting anything back after he liked all Velvette's pictures. She was cute, not as cute as Kalypso, but still cute. It was why he started following her. He did smile when she messaged him though, typing back.

   There's a bit of a chuckle, smiling he's got down, but not telling people they're dead right away .. now that could probably work. He'd just have to figure out how to start the conversation proper so people weren't frightened by him. That would take some time though.

" I do smile at the very least. And I have changed my appearance depending on those who I cross paths with. Sometimes someone who's an old friend or family, a child for the younger ones who fear other adults, so on and so forth. It's .. difficult sometimes.    There's only an amused chuckle in response, no judgment or looking down on a lie, he doesn't blame her after all. Plus, there's no reason to be upset over something so simple as a lie meant to protect herself. There's a brief hum at her question, he has no reason to hide it, but it's always quite amusing when someone assumes he's just another sinner.

" Ah. I've never died, but rather I'm Death itself. Though I'd much rather be called Ryoji. I learned many things about people during my guides .. well, when they choose to speak to me or are conscious enough to do so. It's always a shame that I can never talk to some because of one reason or another. "

   He takes another sip of his drink, his usual smile turning to a frown. 

" I'm not sure what's worth sharing considering I see quite a lot of sad ends to peoples lives. Though I have met some rather interesting people. "

"I've never cared what others think," she snaps in reply, though instantly knows that's untrue as the words leave her lips. Certainly, she may not care what people think of her - but her work? That was another story. And what was her work if not part of herself?

Ugh. She hated that this stranger was oddly correct, even accidentally.

After her moment of rumination was complete, the rest of his words registered - his flippant use of the word 'human' as if he did not fit into that category. Technically, neither did she anymore; but most sinners she knew still felt ties to Earth and to their humanity. How strange... if he wasn't a sinner, what was he?

"I...suppose you make a decent point," she relents, signaling the bartender for a refill. She props her head up on one hand, gazing up at the stranger with a languid look.

"Since you so clearly have me all figured out... why not tell me a bit about yourself, darling? All I know is your name. What brings you to Hell? When did you die?"
