Comprehensive list of Traffic Life Series curses*:
The Solidarity Gaming Death Curse: Afflicted individual will die first no matter the circumstances.
The GoodTimesWithScar Session 5 Curse: Afflicted individual will, without fail, lose all but one life by session 5. If the individual hasn’t yet lost their lives by this point, the universe will course correct.

The GoodTimesWithScar Pet Curse: Any and all animals befriended by the unfortunate cursebearer will meet a horrific fate at the hands of another.
The GoodTimesWithScar and Grian Life Curse: The first afflicted individual will always lose their first life as a result of the second afflicted individual, whether directly or indirectly.
The Grian Bonds Curse: The unfortunate sufferer of this curse will always end up being responsible for the death of their loved ones.
The TangoTek Isolation Curse: The afflicted individual will suffer an unfortunate final death alone, often dying by no fault of their own or in a meaningless way.
The Smallishbeans Insanity Curse: The afflicted individual, upon reaching their final life, will inevitably go on an insane killing spree in a desperate attempt to win, often burning another’s base down in the process.
The Rendog Last-Stand Curse: The cursed player will die within the walls of their home, in an attempt to defend it one last time.
The Rendog Loyalty Curse: The affected player will get attached to one person or a group of people, and will be loyal to the point of dying for said people.
The Rendog and InTheLittleWood Partnership Curse: The cursed individuals will undoubtedly form a partnership regardless of circumstance, but will be ultimately unable to protect each other.
The BdoubleO Tragedy Curse: The cursed individual will disregard all other players and focus on protecting one person they hold dear, inevitably failing as that person dies.
The Smajor1995 Widow Curse: The cursebearer’s chosen partner will always die before them, with the cursebearer being unable to save them.
The Trap Curse (self-inflicted): A preset trap will never work as intended. Certain exceptions may apply as a result of other curses leading a target to their doom.
The Base Curse (self-inflicted)*: No matter how secure a base is, it will fall in the end. Nothing survives the red life swarm.
*A variation on this curse is the Flammability Curse: Everything that can be burned will be burned.
*Please leave anymore curses in the notes and the list will be updated to include them

my favourite theory about double life/ the life series is that only the victors can remember the previous seasons; so in last life grian was the only person who remembered & now in dl, both scott AND grian remember- this is why desert duo & flower husbands are the way they are. spoilers for all the life series btw !!
grian didn’t team up with scar last season because he KNOWS how painful it was in 3rd life. this time he has no choice for them to team, cause it’s his only way of surviving. but he cheats with big b because he doesn’t want to love and eventually lose scar again. despite this he still kills ren and as a result, big b. because, although he tried to make big b his secret soulmate, he has history with scar; he WON with scar. and if he didn’t believe they could win before, he definitely knows there’s a chance, what with them being the last greens
scott came into double life remembering both previous seasons, even though he didn’t during last life. he only now remembers his relationship with jimmy, and how non existent it was in last life. he blames them not being soulmates this season on him not remembering before and decides to stay away, but yet he can’t bring himself to love his soulmate. this is why it hurts so much when jimmy does- he and tango are so good for one another. scott cant bare to come between them. so he doesn’t, but he does find himself still being drawn towards jimmy. so, instead he bullies him. he bullies him so jimmy will start to hate him. when jimmy’s on red, scott tries to put him in a box- he says it’s just another one if his jokes but he wants to protect jimmy. he wants him to win and in turn remember him back. but it fails. jimmy’s curse of dying first isn’t broken and scott knows it probably never will.

Chip is unfamiliar with this ‘sensitive’ side of gillion which means that the extent of gillion’s vulnerability was the one time they almost killed each other, that one moment with Jay, and the time in the block. Gillion was definitely on his own for a long long time before Jay and chip found him. He counts pretzel and edyn as the only things that got him through his childhood which counts pretzel as a service animal I think. It’s implied that gillion’s banishment wasn’t presented to him as such, meaning he probably spent some of those months believing that he would be welcomed home, only to realize he might’ve been abandoned, and might’ve been banished and left for dead or whatever may come by the same elders that he was raised by. He came to that conclusion on his own and still asks edyn for reassurance, hoping that maybe he’s wrong, and edyn doesn’t dispute him - simply says it “wasn’t your fault.” He was forced out of a childhood, away from his family and into a life of perpetual schooling and indoctrination and then abandoned after trying to uphold the ideals he was taught by the very people that taught them. near the end of grian's LL "we can still be friends" scene, mumbo falls from the destroyed block to the ladder and lines up with grian, who's also on the ladder.
thought: he actually fell into grian's arm and it's the only thing keeping him from falling to his death
i really liked the idea but i couldn't fit it in just one illustration so i had to make a short comic oh also happy new year guys (well i'm a few hours late actually)

wait a fucking second did anyone ever explain the Ollie situation to Drey. or like. did he just assume they replaced the grown man on their ship with a random 12 year old while he was sleeping and not question it.
