hahha. thinking about the fact that Frank was literally shot through the fucking brain. like that happened. he was shot in the head. and in a coma. while his family was getting buried and his entire life was gone he was in a coma. Because he got shot in the brain. He's in a coma and the people coming to see him have suits and earpieces and want to kill him. They killed his family, they shot him in the head and he's a coma in a public hospital and they fake a DNR to kill him.

Except he survived...somehow and went home. How much did he remember in that state. Did he not remember the day at the carousel at all and instinctively run home to the place he felt safe? When they pulled the plug on him, he was in a coma, it's not like he knew what they were trying to do - he just woke up and his instinct was to grab someone and tell him to take him home. Or did he remember flashes, images, did he remember what he describes to Matt later, the cosntant visions of his family, of his children riddled with bullets. Or did the constant cycle in his head start the moment he woke up. And he needed to get home to verify that it isn't true, that this is some weird twisted nightmare vision he had in the coma, some fucked up intrusive thought. Or did he know what he would find. Mountains of wilted flowers and the house is empty and dust everywhere and he's alone. And he's been shot in the head. He has brain damage and he's been in a coma and he's having some of the worst trauma a person can have. He literally died and woke up in hell. And he's alone.

And we know he has memory issues when it comes to his family (not to mention he was back for 1 day! 1 day!) and its affecting his emotions (and i refuse to believe that it's all that happens to you when you get shot in the fucking frontal lobe, like i need this explored, dude got shot in the head) - but it seems that everything related to his combat abilities, his tactical understanding, his knowledge of weapons and warfare and recon and guerrilla tactics is unaffected. And if you're alone and you're in hell and everything is fractured to shit except THAT...I mean, where does that lead your thoughts. Where does that lead you to think your purpose lies. you know. I'm thinking about that.
