Choosing a favourite is always tricky but I think I have to say Videodrome!!!! Cronenberg movies certainly aren’t for everyone but I absolutely love them and Videodrome has always had a special place in my heart since it was the first one of his movies I ever watched!!! I have always been super into body horror movies and especially ones from like the 80s that use mainly practical effects rather than cgi and stuff!!!

I also kind of grew to love it even more when I started my current university program because I’m working on a communications degree and so naturally we study a lot of communications theory and often talk about Marshal McLuhan who was a major Canadian communications theorist who coined the phrase “the medium is message” and I read that Cronenberg based O’blivion on McLuhan to a degree and just understanding and having context for it makes it really really cool and fun to me!!!!!

Also tho Debbie Harry putting a cigarette out on her tit did something to me so :3
