It's less that they're a power source used to create something else, those spirits are the entity BEN. iseeyou has layered whispers, multiple faces, and they say "We are BEN."

I'm not sure where you're getting the number 17 from in that case. It's not confirmed anywhere who was sacrificed and put into BEN other than through association. I searched the wiki for "17" and "seventeen", and counted known Moon Children members, ascension victims, Eternity Project victims (none of which are BEN, they're just people who paid for Jadusable's Patreon in 2020), and I couldn't find anything related to that.

This is true to an extent. However, the Moon Children specifically targeted children in its infancy.

Despite that, my point is less that "There is not a single possibility that there's an adult in BEN," but moreso that "It's weird to claim that BEN is an adult (especially for justify making or consuming sexual content) when the only confirmed members of it are children"--especially when fanon BEN is typically based very heavily off of Ben's traits like being into Zelda and being childish. (The spirit talking to Jadusable through Cleverbot also identifies themselves as Ben spelled as "Ben", so there's not a lot to go off of when it comes to a non-Ben BEN characterization).

Idk if yall really care or not, but the reason I don't really write for BEN much is because a LOT of people believe that BEN and Benjamin (the 12 year old kid) are the same person, and I'm a little afraid of the type of hate I would receive from the misinformation the fandom has been spreading around. aka the teenage new gens who dont even read the stories and get their information from tiktok slideshows

but I just wanna make it clear: BEN (Behavioral Event Network) and Benjamin Lawman are NOT the same person. Canonically. Not headcanon.

yes BEN was made after Benjamin died, but they are not the same. Ben, along with at least 16 other Moon Children cult members, were sacrificed and put into The Network and they became one ageless entity. yes the members ages ranged between early teen to young adult, but they aren't Voltron-ing BEN, they are more akin to a power source.

I think a lot of people only read the very first part of the story where BEN pretends to be Ben to trick Jadusable, and ran with it without finishing the (I think still ongoing) story/ARG, or do any more research after that besides looking at a couple of wikis

now I'm not saying I'm an expert or anything, and I might have gotten some stuff wrong, but I know for a fact BEN and Ben are NOT the same person. BEN is not a minor.

Ben is a part of BEN (Behavioral Event Network), he was the first person that was killed and successfully became a part of what would later build into a group of spirits. I wouldn't say they've fused into a single person, there's a lot of disjointed and contradictory behavior that multiple spirits being there is meant to explain.

The idea that every cult member is a part of BEN is a common misconception, but its not true. BEN as we know them as a character is separate from people like Matt, Rosa, Duskworld, and etc, and they interact with eachother as separate entities and are treated separately. For example, Matt ends up getting deleted from the game but BEN still stays.

There's 0 concrete evidence that the Behavioral Event Network contains any adult spirits. The only characters associated with it are Ben and the spirits that inhabit these in-game models. (Ex. The DROWNED forum account was revealed to be run by the spirit wearing the Goht mask.)

Do not blame Jeff for the author's views. This was clearly an instance of the author's ugly prejudices showing in the next.

Jeff would never fatshame anyone. He knows what it is like 2 be called ugly by society for things that aren't ugly at all. Besides, there are much better things 2 shame Troy for---like his corrupt moral character. Now that's ugly.

And I never said Jeff was "all good." He has flaws. He makes mistakes. Jeff, like all of us, is only human. He's bumped in2 someone at the supermarket on accident. He's let an unkind word or two slip out before he had the chance 2 stop them. But you know what he does after he makes a mistake?

He apologizes. He makes amends. He works each day 2 make himself a better man. And sure, he isn't perfect---but who is?

It says that mostly because whoever wrote it was being ableist 💔 it's in a negative context to describe their sadism (eg. How someone might describe Jeff the Killer as psychotic for being a murderer or looking creepy). It's a pretty old line, its said that since I first came across the wiki in 2016.

But there is some reasoning for it that isn't completely based in the idea that having psychosis = evil. In the Haunted Cartridge arc, BEN describes what they're doing as all part of a game--which is where the detachment from reality comes from. (Though, they are in an ARG--so is it entirely wrong?)

I think paranoia is an interesting theory and it can be supported by the fact that in the later arcs, they seem to be on the Moon Children websites obsessively monitoring the cult. Iirc, there's also multiple instances of it changing things only for 5-20 minutes before changing it back (eg. An image or words on a page) which could be interpreted as anxiety or paranoia. (But it could also be interpreted as the spirits in-fighting or them intentionally trying to make people feel crazy by making small changes that people on the site barely have time to process.)

I'm not sure if I'd go as far to say that they'd dominate every situation as they often lurk as a threat in the background as opposed to constantly keeping the spotlight on themselves, but they seem like they'd go to lengths to hold the upper hand in every situation. (For example, getting someone's address and full access to their computer before starting a conversation with someone on the internet, just in case that person does anything they perceive to be hurtful or punishable.)

So like, in the official wiki it said BEN has ‘signs’ of psychosis.. doesn’t that mean they have hallucinations, detachment from reality, delusional thinking, and maybe impulse control issues?? Geez, BEN needs a break 😭 So like do they get paranoid easily or something?

WAIT SO LIKE, THEY ARE CONTROL FREAKS.. SO WHAT IF THEY GET PARANOID ABOUT THEIR CONTROL SO THEY GO TO EXTREME LENGTHS TO MAKE SURE THEY DOMINATE EVERY SITUATION BECAUSE IF THEY DONT, IT TRIGGERS THEM???
