Hunger Games 30 Day Challenge
Day 30: A book/series that you would rec to fellow fans
I would recommend The Long Walk by Stephen King. Like The Hunger Games, it takes place in a dystopian future where teens take place in a competition where there can only be one survivor. The set-up is a bit different, though; here the competition is a grueling walk where each participant is supposed to keep a speed at 4 mph. Those who are unable to keep up are killed with the last person standing as the victor.
Interestingly enough Hunger Games director Francis Lawrence is directing the upcoming film adaptation.

30 Day Hunger Games Challenge
Day 29: Your favorite thing about the entire series
Hard to say beyond "the writing". Suzanne Collins is a step above other authors in her field. For example, no one was asking for another Hunger Games book or film, especially one about Snow. Everyone was saying it was going to flop, that the fans had moved on, that no one cared about teen dystopia stories anymore. The franchise was for all intents and purposes dead. She had to prove herself all over again and she proved everyone wrong.

Day 28: Your favorite scene in Mockingjay
The moment in Mockingjay where Katniss discovers Coin framed Snow for the bombings was in my opinion one of the most shocking scenes in the series and one of bits that made me reassess my views on Snow.
In the film it's one of Donald Sutherland's best scenes in the series.

Day 27: Your favorite scene in Catching Fire
Reading the book one of the most memorable scenes for me was Katniss discovering she had been picked for the 75th Hunger Games. Like Katniss I had assumed she was done with the Games (I figured the book was going to be about the rebellion) and the realization that she would have to do it again was a real gut punch at the time.

Day 26: Your favorite scene in The Hunger Games
I think I enjoyed the preparations for the games and the politics that go into surviving more than the actual games. The wordbuilding was in my opinion some of the best parts of the series.

Day 25: Your dream cast
Tom Blyth and Rachel Zegler were both perfect but prior to the film's release Cody Fern and Zendaya were my choices for Coryo and Lucy Gray.

Day 24: Your least favorite secondary character
It would have to be Alma Coin for obvious reasons.

Johanna Mason was one of my favorite characters in the original series. I enjoyed her snark.

Day 22: Your favorite book of the three
It's four now (soon to be five) but my favorite book was 'The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes'. In my opinion its the most complex and well-written book in the series. The first three books felt like YA reads (which there's nothing wrong with) whereas this read like an adult novel.

Day 21: A pairing you don't get
So apparently Katniss and Cato is a semi-popular ship. I actually get hero/villain ships but this one not so much. Maybe if Cato was a reoccurring character in the series or the two had interacted prior to the Games but...

Day 20: Your least favorite pairing
Not much of a surprise but -- again -- I never saw the appeal of Everthorne.

Day 19: Your favorite pairing
My favorite pairing was Coriolanus Snow and Lucy Gray Baird. No, it wasn't a healthy relationship but I still found it to be an interesting one. Even though it was doomed from the start part of me wanted things to work out.

Day 18: A song that reminds you of the series
I don't really have a song that wasn't used in the films that reminds me of the series so this is a cheat but I thought 'Yellow Flicker Beat' really worked in capturing the tone of the series.

It would have to be Primrose's just for how random and cruel it was.

Day 16: A question you wish had been answered in the book
We know Snow has a granddaughter so I'm curious as to who his kid(s) were and how he was as a father for them growing up.

Day 15: Your least favorite tribute (aside from Peeta/Katniss)
Marvel, maybe, for killing Rue? Not much else to say besides I was surprised to discover later that Jack Quaid played him in the film. I didn't recognize him.

Day 14: Your favorite tribute (aside from Peeta/Katniss)
Lucy Gray Baird is probably my favorite tribute. I thought viewing her character from Snow's perspective and not knowing her thoughts or motivations made her more interesting than if she was just the protagonist.
