“Apple—” Jack scoffed and shook his head at the guy who just started talking with him. “I think I’m good with what I got, kid. Glad you’re enjoying it, though…” Honestly, the guy probably wasn’t much younger than he was. Maybe the same age, he didn’t know. Could even be older. But the way he was just talking to strangers like this, well… Jack had another drink of his bourbon, going back to watching the game on the TV above their heads.

“If you say so, man,” MR gave up with a dramatic open palmed gesture of his hands. It was much more Elliot speaking in that instance, trying to end the conversation. The Kid was annoyed with him for getting them to come here to begin with. The rapid switching back and forth was why poor Elliot had such a splitting headache and a desire to light up. Elliot rubbed at his head and closed his eyes. The sound of the sporting game above their heads catching his focus, buzzing like the dim lights on the wall. “So who are you rooting for?”  𝚂𝚝𝚘𝚙. 𝚃𝚊𝚕𝚔𝚒𝚗𝚐. 𝚃𝚘. 𝙷𝚒𝚖.        𝚃𝙷𝙴𝙽 𝚈𝙾𝚄 𝚂𝚃𝙰𝚁𝚃 𝚂𝙾 𝙸 𝙳𝙾𝙽'𝚃 𝙷𝙰𝚅𝙴 𝚃𝙾. 𝚆𝚑𝚢??? MR shrugged, sitting where Elliot was so he had to watch him in the mirror behind the bar. It was freaky but he was more used to this now. Swallowing, Elliot decided he’d just let this other man answer.

“Isn’t that my hoodie?”

“It was your hoodie,” Elliot pointed out, sly grin tugging at his lips as he slid his hands into the pocket’s of Snart’s hoodie. “Possession is a uniquely human concept. You might have bought this hoodie. Whether it be with stolen funds or not -- is it really yours? All it took was me picking it up. What’s to say it’s not mine now?” This was Elliot’s version of being playful as he rocked a bit side to side in his stolen hoodie. “Are you going to tell me differently? Who says I have to listen to you?”

Smartarse.. Well, if nothing else, that just proved they got on decently enough. ❝ Does that line work often, or am I just witnessing an especially consummate performance?? ❞ ( Perhaps he was this way with everyone; a little gregarious, pretty brazen, maybe even the tiniest bit flirtatious. Hold on. Is THAT what was happening here?? If so, it would definitely be n e w.. ) It wasn’t such a terrible crime. In fact, the higher his stress levels climbed, the more he thought about taking the habit back up, anyway. ( Fern was seventeen now, and had proven she didn’t really want him in her life.. it didn’t matter anymore. ) So he shrugged it off, then tilted his head ever so slightly - genuinely baffled by the idea. ❝ – Sure, ❞ In the interest of being totally honest with himself, it wasn’t as though he’d anything better to do at present. ❝ I don’t think we got that far, either. ❞ He confirmed, extending a hand. ❝ Daniel.  ❞ Simple enough.. even if it had been a struggle not to refer to himself as everyone e l s e did. ( ❛ Harrow ❜ would have sounded rather awkward in a casual setting, but he’d grown so accustomed to it, his given name was almost foreign to his own ears. )

“Would it work better if I told you that you’re the only one I’ve used it on?” He asked, brow raised before he grinned. If there was any doubt in Daniel’s mind that ‘Elliot’ was hitting on him, it would be getting much clearer now. MR took the offered hand and gave him a firm handshake. 𝙳𝙰𝙽𝙸𝙴𝙻. 𝙽𝙾 𝙻𝙰𝚂𝚃 𝙽𝙰𝙼𝙴. MR pulled his hand back to slip into the pockets of his Elliot’s hoodie. He pursed his lips for a brief moment, wondering if Elliot would be annoyed with him for getting friendly with someone. There was no stressful situation keeping him here. MR knew Elliot would be getting control back at some point, maybe it was best he dialed down the talkative, people person thing. Dial up the awkwardness a bit? MR let out a breath like he was nervous, channeling a bit of Elliot’s anxious energy. “Sorry -- uh tell me if I am being too forward. I’m not that great with people. --- but hey, I really am starving. Where do you suggest we go?”
