i do still plan on finishing tnww! i’m so touched that you love it enough to consider one of your fav fics of all time. right now i’ve been working on another fic for a completely different fandom (it’s always sunny in philadelphia; it’s an M rated show so i have a separate ao3) but i plan to update tnww once im done updating that fic, which hopefully should be soon.

i’ve generally just been very very busy but i just graduated college and started a new job as a vision therapist, so life is going good for me right now! i’m mostly learning how to manage my time and plan things out so i can balance just taking care of myself (which is just so exhausting) along with work, social time with friends, family, and my boyfriend, and also working on my passion projects like tnww. it’s definitely a struggle but i hope i get there! thanks for the ask, and take care anon!

thank you so much!!! it’s funny you asked this because i’ve been working on chapter 16 (hard to believe it’s been that many) lately, so hopefully that will be out soon! i will try and finish this story no matter what, and i’m so glad that people are still out there that enjoy it. thanks again <3!

The Notes We Write - Chapter 15 “Tear Us Apart”

Hi everyone!!! it’s been a while!! but i’m happy to announce the new chapter is out! as always, fic by @cyrusgoodboye and art by me. You can read it here! 

“Cyrus Goodman had always felt so out of reach.  He was something T.J. could see but couldn’t ever touch, something always kept behind glass.  Now that T.J. had touched Cyrus, now that he knew what Cyrus’s voice sounded like up close instead of far away and how his eyes shone in just the right light, it was impossible to go back to normal.  Impossible to be normal.

T.J. turned off his phone and placed it on his bedside table, closing his eyes.  On the other side of town was a boy who felt the same way, wondering how the world could keep on revolving without him and T.J. Kippen at the center.”

The Notes We Write - Chapter 15

Cyrus Goodman is not the type to get in trouble. Not at all. So, when he lands himself 6 days of detention with Dr. Metcalf of all people, he isn’t quite sure what to do with himself.

When he discovers he has a detention buddy to endure the hour with, they start exchanging notes to pass the time. Becoming friends with him was never something Cyrus anticipated, much less having a crush on him, but, as it turns out, life doesn’t always go the way you expect.

how's "the notes we write" coming along? i know it's been almost a year since the last update, and i know you're probably busy, i was just wondering cause i went back to reread it and fell in love once again with the story <3 hope you're doing well!

hey, anon. i’ve actually been preparing to work on chapter 15 recently! i’ve been writing a fanfic for a completely different fandom (it’s always sunny in philadelphia) which is a different age demographic completely, so it’s hard to get into the mindset for tnww. BUT i definitely have been wanting to get the last 6 chapters out there because i think they’ll be really great and tie up all those loose threads going on with tj and cyrus, and i can’t wait until that time comes! but, until then, keep checking for updates because i’m hoping the next chapter will come out soon.

also, i am doing well, thank you for asking!! i have been busy with college and have gotten a lot of help for some mental health stuff i’ve been dealing with for several years now anyway, but this summer is a fresh start and an opportunity for me to step back and refresh. here’s to hoping i can update soon!
