sometimes when i'm playing fetch with my cat his toy will land somewhere he can't see and he will get so confused and annoyed, and i always want to rescue it for him right away, because i feel bad and i want to keep playing with him. but i know it's better for him psychologically if i let him try to figure it out himself even though it is so easy for me to see where it is (usually) and it would be much faster and easier if i just grabbed it. and i think about god every time this happens
