Sleeping next to someone, not with someone, is perhaps the most intimate you will ever be with another human. In sleep, we are completely defenseless. We are soft and supple and childlike. Our hard exteriors falls away when the sand hits our eyes. The way you sleep, with your face softened and your arms wrapped around my waist, is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. I am not an artist, but I may become one just so that I can capture that moment.

I have the best girlfriend ever.

My favorite thing about you is how when you look at me I can see how much you care.  I know I’m such a girl and it usually makes me cry - in fact I’m crying just remembering it right now - but it’s just so beautiful and genuine.  I know we’re young and we’re supposed to not know anything about love, but I know that in this moment I love you so so much.  You’re my best friend and I’ll miss you a lot when you’re in Utah.  But luckily Skype will afford me the pleasure of seeing your bright eyes and talking to you, and that’s all I could ever ask for.
