When you're taking a break, you need to rest. Resting means:

not feeling guilty about taking a break

not thinking about what you're going to do when your break is over

not feeling the need to explain why you took break

allowing yourself the time and freedom to let go of those anxieties and find some peace

If you spend your time away constantly thinking about what you're not doing and feeling guilty about not doing it, then you're not actually going to get any benefit from taking the time away.

Be gentle with yourself. Focus on your own needs and not on what anyone else might be thinking or feeling. Taking a break is about you, not about anyone else. Give yourself the rest you need. ❤

Currently too lazy to slam out a fic so here have a snippet of a fic that I would write if i had energy today:

Y/n: HEY SAM GUESS WHAT!

Y/n: wait whos that

Zemo: Do I know you?

Y/n: wait did you guys-?

Bucky: we didn’t technically break him out

Sam: Bucky broke him out

Y/n: oh so you already committed a crime....

Sam: What does that mean?

Sam: ...Whats that behind your back

Y/n: *very obviously trying to hide the shield that they stole from that dickass john walker* Would you believe me if I said it was a fancy dinnerplate?

Sam: Am i the only person trying to follow the law here?

Y/n: In my defense I thought that this would be the only crime

Bucky: Yeah we both only committed one crime so they cancel out

I can’t stop thinking about these lines in terms of Bucky’s actual values/intent vs. how people perceive him. 

To Sharon (and probably to most outsiders), his allegiance to Steve automatically translates into a belief in patriotism and Captain America™. She even turns the idea of his relationship with Steve into a joke, which illustrates a fundamental misunderstanding because the close bond they shared truly was the basis for his loyalty. 

To Bucky it was never about ‘stars and stripes’- it was about the man wearing them.
