having post into the wild thoughts before going into the fire and ice audiobook…

first of all: ??!!!??? I did NOT remember the scene where someone tries to run Firepaw over when they’re on the way to the Moonstone? HELLO?

secondly: I wish Firepaw and Tigerclaw’s early book interactions were talked about more. I still find it fairly interesting that Tigerclaw was, at least somewhat, impressed with Firepaw’s earnest skill. I know I’ve seen AUs out there where he mentors Firepaw instead of Bluestar. Tempted to ruminate over my own.

I forgot how much I do enjoy Into the Wild in particular. Before the series became as long and convoluted and inconsistent as it is.

(Not that it wasn’t already showing a lack of foresight, specifically with Sandpaw and Dustpaw not yet being warriors despite being moons older. Despite ThunderClan’s desperation for warriors.

I get why Firepaw and Graypaw were made warriors early though. Considering the bravery and initiative they showed, and all.)

I missed Ravenpaw, Firepaw and Graypaw’s friendship as well as Firepaw’s relationships with Yellowfang and Bluestar.
