"you need to watch this video of this Black woman being brutally murdered to understand how bad it is" right and we had to see Mike Browns body and we had to watch the Tamir Rice murder and we had to see George Floyds murder for all 7 or 8 minutes and Tyre Nichols' breathing death at the hands of five Black cops had to be broadcast at 7 PM during the week and you don't HAVE to see all this Black death and you HAVE to see the way the world hates us and you HAVE to see how quick police are to finalize their view that we are not human and you HAVE hear our screams and cries and humiliation and desperation and pleas for mercy and apologizing and begging, right. the articles and transcripts describing what happens in perfect detail simply aren't enough. It's gruesome but you have to watch the lynching video. for awareness. To understand.

But you don't have to do anything about it, do you? You don't have to march. You don't have to protest. You don't have to do sit ins or die ins and you don't have to disrupt anything and you don't have to make noise. You don't even have to call for police abolition. You don't have to donate to any GoFundMes or organizations or mutual aid efforts and you don't even have to spread the links yourself. You don't really have to listen to Black people outside the times our gruesome deaths are being broadcast, and even then you only have to listen with half an ear. You don't have to follow any Black radicals or read about them. You don't have to fight against police violence and police brutality. You don't have to learn the history. You don't have to see the patterns. You don't have to hold anyone accountable.

You don't have to help us, but you have to watch us die.

Both Motaz Azaiza and Hamdan Dahdouh have reported airstrikes on the Khan Younis area of Gaza today. On his Instagram story, Hamdan stated:

"The situation in Khan Younis on the tenth day:

"No internet or any means of communication available, and airstrikes, drone attacks, and artillery bombardment persist.

"Homes are being demolished with dynamite, entire residential areas are affected, and accessing the internet is very difficult. We climb to the hospital roof to get a signal, exposing ourselves to various forms of targeting."

As Hamdan reported, communications in Gaza have been down for multiple days now. You can donate esims to Gaza to give Gazans connections for up to 30 days. The esim website itself is incredibly helpful and details exactly how to purchase the esim (instructions on how to donate are on the main page I linked first).
