An IceWing wip line art. That tail is difficult, still need to fix that. I really like the diamond shaped scales on their body, but that is hard to animate. So I need to make a constant design. The neck needs details...

Yess! Here's my librarian redesign!

I didn't realize when i was initially drawing this, but I think every redesign from this weekend might be stripes-heavy. Which is cool. but anyways, this is the librarian! I tinkered with her colors a little bit to add some blues and greens to her scales, which i don't think would've been natural but rather a product of Wasp's lifelong influence. You can kind of see her natural underbelly scales peaking out near her neck and end of tail, but those patterns would've been slowly replaced by the blue/green dots.

I wanted to stick with a breath-of-evil motif beyond just the colors, so I also used a long stripe pattern to mimic vines, as well as adding a green tint to some of her wing pattern and eye. The rest of this redesign kind of speaks for itself, so I'll leave it at that. Sorry to everyone who's been itching for more hivewings as creepy as wasp - the librarian is certainly a step up from Cricket with her super long arms, but I do plan on trying another super creepy hivewing design in the future. Probably on one of the hive ladies.

Character bio

Name: Prince Grouper

Age: 16 (hatched 4996)

Tribe: Seawings

Appearance: dark dull green scales, built like a brick wall.

One of three princes that hatched alongside Princess orca in 4996. He is a real scrapper of a dragon. Loves a nice fight, captain of the Seawing 3rd army, his razor sharp claws being a point of pride for him. Was close and loyal to Orca. Oddly jovial attitude, beloved by the troops under his command.

Often seen with a claw file on hand, in order to keep his claws nice and sharp.

The literal first interaction between Tsunami and Grouper was him seeing her claws, taking her talon, and starts filing.

Grouper: "geez sis, we gotta hang out more often, I cannot let a seawing princess go around without her claws pointed. Hold on, I think I got a spare file I can loan ya."

Tsunami: "nice to meet you too, Grouper." *Tsunami is at a loss for words over this huge green Seawing deciding to just start sharpening her claws.*

She's a seawing cursed with immortality due to a necklace that will likely bring her unimaginable pain if she takes it off from every single wound and injury caused over 100 years all reopening and tearing her apart like string cheese

An Albatross design. Gave him a fatter neck bump and a more ragged tail. I think I should give him a few scars or a texture overlay to emphasize the fact that he is OLD.

SkyWing line art. I like their big front arms and the thumb. I think I need to fix the tail, but not yet.

They are unfinished. They need spines but I am unsure of how to attach them, as SkyWings spines are small and short. Not very animation friendly

If I remember correctly purple is the scale color of guilt, which is a really nice detail on this piece as Glory would have killed someone for the first time.

The lines overlap in the image because I like to rig the rough linart first when I animate a side view walk Cycle.

The tail fin is a little addition that helps me tell the SeaWings apart.
