So this is my set up. It's not much and it sure as hell is crowded down here with storage and my board games and my computer/xbox and work computer and tools and washer and dryer.... basically anything my wife doesn't want to see goes in the basemnt. Bit it's my hole and I will make the most of it.
A few years ago when we had extra mon before my son was born I went on kijiji and bought the weight bench with the heavier of the plates for $250. Then I went to an exercise equipment store and bought the 5 lbs and 10 lbs plates along with the dumbbells. Add the rubber floor mats in strategic places under the bench and I can do most exercises I want. Deadlifts, squats, and bench press. Theres enough weight to put 215 lbs on the bar and 27.5 lbs on each dumbbell. If all goes well I'll need to buy extra 45 lbs plates in a month or two.
Had an ok chest workout this morning and almost didnt have time to do core at the end because of the allure of the xbox. It is not a good combination to have your workout gear in the same room as your free time wasters. But I did it and made it to work on time. Tuesday and Thursday my office is nice enough to let me work from home for my desk job. Those, along with Saturday are going to be my workout days.

The Beginning!
Every quest needs a beginning right. You go to the quest giver and they tell you where to go, you there, you beat a dragon or a troll or whatever, and then you get the reward. Well what do you do when you are the adventurer, the quest giver, the dragon, and the reward? You walk into your basement and look back and forth between your weight set and your Xbox trying to convince yourself to go lift something instead of sitting in the laz-e-boy recliner and plugging in for what little time you have to try to relax. This morning was different. I found the willpower to do the workout. Back day. Deadlifts. Might as well start on something I enjoy. Leg day can come later and go fuck itself at that time. Spotify playlist queued and away we go.
