headcanon .01—

THE QUICKEST WAY TO DAEHYUN’S HEART is through his STOMACH— specifically, through sweets. there’s hardly a SOUL ALIVE who knows about daehyun’s love for anything sugar ( somehow, it’s the only thing he truly loves more than himself ) . he refuses to let this become public ; he’s even gone to the length of MODIFYING his mattress in the dorm so it has a special pocket where he can HIDE bags of bulk candy that he buys by the pound at corner stores. he’s ALWAYS guaranteed to have a couple caramels or milk chocolates in his pocket to sneak when nobody is looking, and many nights, he can be found at a BAKERY that creates his favorite cakes and pastries where he’ll have almost a full meal on desserts alone. ( ironically, the baker there is one of the few people daehyun loves, respects, and considers a true friend, even if it’s only for the sheer QUALITY of the cakes they make. )

hello! it’s good meeting everybody— i’m trice and i’m so excited for this rp and i’ve already posted a little something about my other muse, ruri, but now it’s time for daehyun, leader and main rapper of decypher, under the cut, since his bio is longer than a train! he’s really, reeeeaaalllyyy mean ;; the worst person you will ever meet and i say that for a lot of my muses but i seriously mean it for this one

he is SO malicious and savage and petty and just an overall jackass ugh

but you wouldn’t actually know that by talking to him ;;; daehyun was born in brooklyn to a wealthy family and never got attention from his parents, so he basically got to do whatever he wanted on the condition that when he was ~presented to the other elites~ that he played the role of the good son. that led to him being raised to be the perfect child (on the outside). never really learned to feel anything besides that, though.

fell in love with a girl back in brooklyn named misun who introduced him to kpop and taught him how to dance. she saw past his niceties to the person who was, deep down, actually cold and terrible

which meant

that she rejected the hell outta him

by saying that she couldn’t love someone as cold as him

anyway he was hella heartbroken after that and essentially turned into the polar opposite; instead of being too cold, he became a total wildfire and all the anger that had always been bubbling beneath that facade rose to the surface and he became a malevolent jerk

so anyways he goes to seoul b/c the two things he loves are misun and kpop and well if you can’t have both you can at least have one ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

he auditions for a company that later shuts down, then he migrates to rlm where he really wants to be a choreographer b/c dancing is what he’s good at—

instead, he gets smacked into decypher as their leader

and he makes it as a main rapper too, of all things? um? he doesn’t even like to rap?

so nowadays he kinda does his thing: charming the pants off people. if you talk to him he’ll legit seem like the perfect boyfriend; always thoughtful, always kind, probably the guy you’ll see playing with a puppy somewhere and that you’ll want to bring home to your parents. think like?? NO this is WRONG it is VERY WRONG okay ;;; if somebody pisses him off (which isn’t hard b/c he’s p short-tempered) he has legit been known to actually smack papers out of people’s hands and spill their coffee on purpose and trip them when they’re walking

the thing is he’s really good at hiding these and playing them off either as accidents or as the other person’s fault so he keeps his good image. he gets a kick of seeing how much of his evil personality he can let peek through his sweet #relatable concept;; usually the only sign that sets off warning bells in other people’s minds is This Trademark Smirk of His™ that only a few netizens have picked up on on camera.

that being said, he really did learn to love and respect his group so fucking with decypher is the same as fucking with daehyun and a one-way ticket to Pettyhell. fun fact: his cooking’s so good you’d probably cry after tasting the first bite and he makes it his life’s mission to make sure decypher is not only well-fed, but well taken care of

really tho unless you reeeeallly make him mad he doesn’t really hold grudges. he just gets his one-time revenge and then calls it good, though his opinion of you will drop p significantly

a really loyal friend to those willing to give it a shot. 10/10 would burn down a house for you
