Please remember that child protection agencies around the world aren't looking for art or fiction you deem immoral, they aren't concerned with what's moral & what isn't.

All they care about is whether or not a real child was harmed in the process.

Remember this when you think about reporting an artist or fanfiction writer for their works. Or the whole of ao3 as what happened in the past.

You are putting already strained & underfunded agencies under even more strain & taking up time they do not have.

You don't have to like what a person writes or draws, but immoral isn't the same as illegal.

So please, if you're so concerned about child abuse as you claim to be, instead of clogging up child protection agencies' time with cartoons & fanfiction, report any & all actual CSEM that you find to the authorities.

Canceling someone you believe is abusing or exploiting children, while it may feel good & righteous in the moment, does nothing to get the child in question out of the abusive situation they are in.

So report any and all CSEM you find to the authorities of your respective country. It's the mature & adult thing to do, & the only thing that actually helps.

People on here will yell “fiction affects reality!” like it’s some kind of gotcha, but like, nobody is saying that it doesn’t. That’s not what this is about, you dumbass, the issue is that some people here seem to think that fiction and reality are the same thing.

There are immature folks on here who can’t differentiate between enjoying things in fiction and thinking that they are healthy in real life, and honestly, that failure to understand the relationship between fiction and the real world and the role that exploration of fantasy scenarios can play for people says more about them and their lack of understanding and empathy than it does about people who ship Dersecest or whatever.
