A heartbreaking scream erupts on a street, a man holding the body of a woman now limp. He holds her close, resting her head against his chest as his hand tangles within her dark locks. Sirens blare, but he doesn't seem to notice.

From shadows nearby, a black cat slips from the bush nearby, startled by the noise.

He simply cries out, cursing the world.

The cat's ears pull back and it hisses, almost sneers, before racing away as sirens grow closer.

A murder.

so I caved - made a Tumblr for my vtuber stuff to post art, stream updates, reblog fanart, etc.

Hearing Maes say back to him causes his heart to race and he can't help but feel happy, complete even. He's never admitted out loud that he loves this man, he did so by his actions, hoping Maes would see the love he felt for him.

They didn't need to say anything to understand each other. He smiles softly at him, caressing his cheeks with his fingers. Dripping down his cheeks tears fell, he wasn't crying because he was in pain or sad, no these were happy tears. Tears he never mind showing him.

"I'm... I'm happy that I have you, Maes."

he hadn't expected him to cry, but after everything he couldn't blame him. his free hand moved up to trace across his cheeks, lightly brushing them away. he knew he wasn't distressed - roy had a habit of tensing when he was stessed or upset, a tightness and a skip in his pulse that maes would have felt with his other hand. " shh, shh... " he murmured softly. " likewise, roy. after... everything? i'm happy to be here with you. "

After he pulls away he leans his forehead against Maes looking into his eyes and whispers softly, "I love you, Maes Hughes."

the smile on his face melted into a look of adoration at roy's words. how sweet it was to hear those words. had he heard them before? he wasn't entirely sure - though he knew he'd felt the other's love most definitely in every lingering touch, kiss, and in the unspoken. maes knew he'd never, ever get tired of hearing it. " i love you too, roy mustang. " he murmured.

One of these days ill get around to actually ... explaining Acedia. At this point he's kinda just a side character to my Alive Verse with Kay.... Buuuttt if im gonna make a blog for him i gotta actually like, better articulate it.

Takes his face into his hands and just kisses him softly, but passionately.

it's hughes who leaned in a little more, reaching up to place a hand at roy's neck, running his thumb across the other's pulse. he smiled into the kiss, content to simply hold and be held. @flamesignite
