I've been getting a bit better at it but it's still challenging to try to replicate what's in my head music-wise... I feel like I can get close pitch wise but timing and tempo especially I struggle with knowing how to do it.
I know it would help to try to learn music theory proper, but it kinda sucks to do when I already know some stuff and it's hard to know how far one can skip ahead without accidentally missing something they need.
#it makes it hard to keep working on songs because i start something and then it ends up barely sounding like what i first came up with#maybe i should just try to keep working on it anyways

yknow, i feel like part of my struggle with songwriting is a combination of struggling to express myself but also the fact a large portion of the music i listen to is not in english and i kinda wonder if learning another language would actually help this or not
#just rambling#i have heard of people like. becoming better at expressing things after learning another language#and ig part of it is bc you gotta learn to talk again and different languages express stuff differently and maybe it clicks different yknow#also yknow idk why im being vague i specifically am thinking about japanese#bc you know. vocaloid is largely japanese#idk where i was going with this oops
