An article from the Milwaukee sentinal archives going into detail around how Jeff could easily manipulate and convince others…particularly in reference to the Somsack case

Dr. Fosdal stating how Jeff denied any feelings of abandonment and specifically how he did not feel abandoned at all when his mom left…it just created a window of opportunity for him.
This is exactly how I feel…I do see that most of Jeff’s crimes were sexually driven. I find that any “abandonment” or fear or rejection was underlying but was there from infancy, and not at all the major component or reason for his crimes

Three articles from the Milwaukee Sentinal Archives: A neighbours recollection, Jeff’s time at work release, and some probation notes shortly before the arrest. The pack of cats following Jeff probably smelled human flesh and bodily fluids on Jeff. Stray feral cats tend to be looking for food.

Snippet of an article where Lionel talks about how he tried to encourage Jeff in the Church of Christ and Jeff resisted this (As this was before he was sent to life in prison and was no longer left with options)
A further interesting snippet is that Jeff worked the audio visual equipment at grandmas church that he attended with her for a couple of years. Grandma attended a normal Protestant church where audio was permitted, unlike the Cult of Christ that believes musical instruments played at service are a sin.

One of the very first articles published after Jeff’s arrest
Some interesting tidbits:
* According to a friend from elementary school the Dahmer household was always very messy
* Jeff was someone to be avoided in both Junior high and high school. It was obvious he was “strange”.
* There were plans to train Jeff on new equipment at Ambrosia and things had been going relatively well for him
* Jeff’s grandmother was at his apartment just a few months before his arrest as she picked him up to take him to buy some equipment for his fish tank
* Neighbours from Grandma’s neighbourhood recall Jeff only when he was smoking outside or standing at the bus stop at night. He was always alone. He would also often take the alley when walking to grandmas to avoid walking in the main sidewalk.

Further context around why Joyce wanted Jeff’s brain studied..she was advised by a neurologist that there was potential to discover something. Either way, this was less about Jeff, and more about Lionel and Joyce’s ongoing arguing, that had proceeded Jeff’s birth and continued after his death

Interesting article around Joyce going to view Jeff’s body in January while it was still being stored. Weird to think of his brain being removed. Just a point of interest; Park Dietz did remark during his testimony how Jeff apparently was fascinated by a scene in Faces of Death where a good looking guy had an autopsy where his brain was removed. Jeff was so fascinated, that he rewatched the scene a few times and did masturbate during it. Of course more evidence of just how enthralled sexually he was with the inner workings of men that he found attractive. Weird to think of Jeff’s brain being removed…and nothing ever ended up coming of it which is too bad.

Super rare never before seen at least by me…question and answer Jeff filled out talking about Jesus…oh my god…literally. I believe in god, but Jeff sounds like a spokesperson for the Church of Christ…also I believe that what is meant to happen will, but in this case..Jeff is praising the lord for saving him from the attack in the chapel…yet he was bludgeoned to death four months later…he literally did not see that coming 🫠 Maybe god wanted to spare him that time to help Jeff grow even more in his faith 🤷♀️ Also I agree with Roy in that Jeff was sincere…but of course Jeff was sincere in wanting to do what he could to be forgiven of his sins…he was spending life in prison..I mean hello, he didn’t have anywhere else to turn. An interesting read nonetheless

Various requests from prison. The first one is from my own personal collection..was delighted to get that one as it has my name on it (Chelsea), and it’s filled out just two days after my 8th Birthday. They were sent out at random..so that was special for me 🥰
