Shadow Toy Freddy from Funko

Y'know of all the possible "shadow" versions of characters, this variant of Toy Freddy and Freddy was not one that I expected to exist. The appearance on the other hand isn't nearly as surprising. It's a quidd variant that means exactly what you'd expect. As for how it compares to fan designs? Of the few that do exist, most are pretty different, usually mimicking Shadow Freddy's design rather than Shadow Bonnie's. Sure it's mildly more creepy, but I doubt that's intentional

Day 314

Adventure Jack o' Chica from Fnaf World

It's no surprise the jack o' lantern is feeling empty. Especially since, if you look at her sprite in the overworld and the unlock screen, she is actually empty. This variant of Chica, Nightmare Chica, and Adventure Nightmare Chica is unlocked with a B or C rank in Foxy Fighters, and this is oddly fitting? Nightmare Chica is voiced in this(who I initially misremembered as Jack o' Chica) and not only does she share Toy Chica's VA, but Jack o' Chica actually has the same attack animation as her. Speaking of, she's pretty powerful! Sure haunting is... haunting, Jack-O-Bomb and Buzzsaw can do massive amounts of damage. Especially the latter, with its max power being 9900

Circus Foxy from Funko

Well SOTM Balloon Circus is out, but that doesn't mean they won't show up... eventually. Maybe. But throwing "when will these guys escape funko hell" to the side, this variant of Foxy started the theory that the Circus part of the set is actually the grown up versions of the Balloon part. The main piece of evidence being the yellow popped balloon, which is the exact same color as Balloon Foxy's. Are there some details that don't line up? Yes. But the unwithereds likely didn't exist and Michael got paler when he grew up, so the lack of consistency isn't necessarily proof that it's wrong

Mr. Helpful from Fnaf: Secret of the Mimic

Y'know I get Steel Wool likes Helpy a lot(what with him returning in all of their games), but I didn't expect them to make a variant of him plus Funtime Freddy and Freddy one of the oldest versions. And I don't think anyone else did either. But despite my worries, it seems that Afton didn't steal quite as much for the funtimes(did steal a lot of other stuff though). At worst it's just inspiration that'd cause some controversy if he was in the modern day art community. But going back to the 1970s, Mr. Helpful's actually based on Edwin himself. He's voiced by him and even has a wife!

Robo Chica WIP and Robo Cupcake from Freddy in Space 2

Ya apparently Lolzhax didn't even finish building this enemy, so she's just a head. That doesn't stop her from attacking you, though, with her rolling around to try to attack you. But this variant of Chica is very easy to cheese, since you can apparently just camp the left side of the screen. She probably should've been built with some arms, but as the first boss of Galactic Factory, she seems to work fine

Now, this variant of the Cupcake is actually fully built, but since it's just a cupcake, I don't think Lolzhax deserves any praise for this. Apparently it'll fly around on top of the screen and drop down cupcake bombs, which actually look pretty neat. But judging by how these aren't mentioned on the strategy section, it doesn't really stop the camping strategy

With these three done, I've officially covered all of the Freddy in Space 2 variants. Considering the tone of the game and its sequel, it feels pretty fitting that these were saved for last

Day 310

Metalman from Fnaf World

Joining the "I had to use a gif because the still image sucked" club, this variant of Chop 'N Roll is also the last nonplayable variant I'm covering for this game. Sure I could've used the still image for the fnaf 57 section, but that one trades the axes for gun-arms(and seems far weaker, but that may just be power scaling). Speaking of differences, it has a much wilder animation than Chop 'N Roll. The latter could come across as a friendly robot if it wasn't attacking you, but the former is clearly out for blood

Oil? We don't really see any animatronics "bleed" in this series, do we?

Blue Spring Colorway Freddy from Funko

This variant of Blue Blacklight Freddy and Freddy has changed quite a bit from its original blacklight version. It's replaced a lot of the yellow in the design, as well as made the bowtie and hat purple instead of pink, and if it wasn't for the face being relatively accurate, I probably wouldn't have connected the two at all. But seeing as my main complaint with the Spring Colorways is them just being pastel blacklights? Yeah, the changes are definitely an improvement

The fact that I like the colors chosen even outside of them being Different is a bonus

Big Top from Fnaf: Secret of the Mimic

This game released an hour late and didn't feature the balloon circus characters(at least from what I've seen). This is a crime against me personally

Jokes aside, this guy was known as Maestro Music Man in the months leading up to the game's release, but it seems they decided to drop the prefix epidemic for once. Regardless, he's still clearly a variant of Music Man and possibly DJ Music Man as well. This time he's an oddly big ticket booth, but that doesn't stop him from being a threat. Even when he's supposedly been defeated, he'll still come back to chase you down in a particular ending

He's also the biggest example of how the mimic programming isn't just in the main endoskeleton ...Does this make the animatronics some flavor of hivemind?

Serpent Mangle from Fnaf AR: Special Delivery

Y'know I could've had a SOTM character today with some youtubers getting special access(and there's an option for one right off the bat), but unfortunately we only get like- an hour of gameplay. So instead I'm doing the character who I looked through some files for because I wanted to prove a redditor wrong

This variant of Mangle and Foxy is for the Ancient Equinox event and allegedly, his original name was "Mayan Mangle". This is false, I have looked through datamined stuff and nothing I saw says that. However, she is based on the Quetzalcoatl from Aztec mythology or a handful of gods from Mayan mythology. I'm leaning more towards the Quetzalcoatl thanks to Curse's strong connection to the Aztecs, but quite frankly it could go either way

But regardless of what the design is based on, it's still really nice

Pink Blacklight Puppet from Funko

While the last blacklight variant of Puppet that I talked about was more of a neon version of the original, this one isn't. The only similarity is the purple tear tracks. Similarly to other blacklights, it has a bunch of colors that are... probably more eye bleeding in person. It's not awful, I like the body and yellow parts. But I'm not sure how to feel about the rest

Adventure Endo 02 from Fnaf World

Honestly I'm not entirely sure I agree with the loading screen. Whether it be in the mainline games or fnaf world, I think variant of Endo 01 and Endo 02 could arguably be considered just as cute as Adventure Endo 01. But what I can agree with without a doubt is that it's more useful. While Speed Song is a nice boost and Endo Army is a good attack, where it really shines is with Neon Wall. Well- without chips. But even if you didn't want the extra chip slot open, you'd need to go into the glitched realm anyway in order to get Auto: Shield, so it'd be useful regardless

Shadow Springtrap from Funko

While there is still some variety, I'm almost surprised at how similar a lot of fanmade stuff is to this variation of Springtrap and Bonnie. Aside from the occasional purple shadow version, Funko hit the mark(or at least got fairly close for once) this time on quidd. Hell, the only issue I have is just the shadow set as a whole. But I suppose this consistency comes with the nature of Springtrap. The only other variants he has are either too small to be a viable alternative(Plushtrap) or started existing when these kind of fanmade variants started dying down(Scraptrap and Burntrap)

I suppose there's Spring Bonnie, but that one isn't going to get lumped in with Springtrap the way- say, a Shadow Nightmare Foxy would just get called Shadow Foxy

VR/Livewire Toy Fredy from Fnaf AR: Special Delivery

You know he's locking in when he takes the headset off

Jokes aside, this variant of Freddy and Toy Freddy was the first to introduce a little mechanic that several skins copy. That being an "attack mode" for the encounters. I think the change to the warmer colors works really well, but the removal of his namesake is kinda funny. I suppose it makes sense though, the last thing he needs is to crash into a wall. Which... I said that as a joke, but it brings up the question of if he can see stuff through the headset. Is he just Ballora-ing it most of the time?

Foxbot from Freddy in Space 2

While most levels in the game have multiple common enemies, apparently Cosmic Freeway decided that it only needed one. So of course, the Bonnie focused level chose this variant of Foxy, Mangle, Funtime(normal and adventure), and possibly Tangle. Alongside contact damage, she has a ranged attack that can change her walk speed. Which may actually be the most "special" attack for a common enemy in the game, but I could be wrong

Also I know her walking animation literally uses the word "walk", but Foxbot please tell me you're not running in heels-

Translucent Yellow Balloon Chica from Funko

Most of these single-color versions of characters are either solid or translucent thanks to being glow in the dark. This variant of Chica and Balloon Chica unfortunately got neither, but at least she's still cute. She's even got her freckles still. She's an "other stores" exclusive and from what I can tell that just means she's exclusive to the physical funko stores. Not sure why the balloon circus section of the wiki page is so vague with some of the minis, everything else is fine

Adventure Nightmare Bonnie from Fnaf World

We've reached 300 days, so let's go with another character I remember using towards the end of the game. This is a variant of Bonnie and Nightmare Bonnie, and despite the wiki suggesting that his loading screen quote is because of his "cruel appearance", he looks pretty cute! He's even slightly less damaged than his normal version. But the dude's definitely a powerhouse, with all his attacks doing big amounts of damage. Even his debuff move, Rainy Day 2, does a fair amount

I can't believe I'm actually still doing this. I doubt I'll make it to a full year(purely due to character count. I doubt I'll run out of motivation anytime soon), but I suppose there's a chance? There's still a fair amount of merch left and who knows how many variants Secret of the Mimic is introducing

Green Blacklight Freddy from Funko

Sometime after funko released their initial blacklight wave, they decided to create some bigger version. But alongside those, they created two new blacklights that were exclusive to FYE. One of which is this variant of Freddy. Instead of just switching some colors around like the two pre-existing Blacklight Freddys, this one instead copied Green Blacklight Foxy. Just with less yellow and more pink. It doesn't look half bad and the more 3d eyebrows make this particular plush seem kinda confused
