Day 384
Tumblr media
Black Blacklight Foxy from Funko
I'm adding this variant of Foxy to the "all blacklight Pint Sized Hero foxes are variants of Foxy alone" evidence list. Anyway, I think this is the only figure of the little pseudo-set to not have pink as one of the main colors of his face. Sure it's there, but it feels less "in your face" compared to the other three. Maybe it's thanks to the sculpt, I don't know. While I think he could definitely do with less colors, he ain't half bad by himself. Most of my issues have to do with the base rather than the "blacklight" part

Inverted High Score Toy Chica from Funko
I've already talked about the two inverted plushies that are actually fairly different from their originals, let's discuss one that isn't. This is a variant Chica, Toy Chica, and High Score Toy Chica, and while she's definitely more distinct than Inverted Radioactive Foxy, that doesn't mean much. I will admit, though, I do like her design for the most part. The colors work fairly well together like this. Especially her eyes

Day 382
Tumblr media
Pink Blacklight Foxy from Good Stuff
Also known as the more popular pink blacklight variant of Foxy. While he is clearly based on the action figure, he does have his differences. Shifting the placement of the colors goes a long in terms of not making it a complete ripoff. As are the parts of the body that aren't completely "blacklight style", but I don't know if a tactic to save money deserves praise based on creativity. At least he's cute
He's also the final variant that was made by Good Stuff that I've covered. I'm surprised it took this long, but when I have to choose between a funko variant and another company's, I usually pick the former

Day 381
Tumblr media
Metallic Glamrock Freddy from Funko
Funko really likes to make the Freddys metallic, huh. I get the first Freddy variant is named after a metallic color, but wow. On the bright side, this isn't just a variant Freddy, he's also a variant of Glamrock Freddy. Being part of the Security Breach mystery mini line, I'm not too surprised he exists. But I am surprised he's not rarer or more exclusive. Sure a 1/72 chance isn't minor by any means, but compared to past sets, it could've been way worse. He could've been exclusive to a specific store or only available if you buy the big box

Day 380
Tumblr media
Christmas Tree Bonnie from Funko
For a chunk of the funko designs, the biggest struggle can be figuring out what to call them. Sure the blacklights are obvious and a lot of variants are actually named by Funko, but that still leaves quite a few for the fans to decide. For some of these, the fan name is a no-brainer. For others, especially the more obscure ones, it can vary a lot(and make googling images a pain). Thankfully, this variant of Bonnie is in the former category. He's a green Bonnie decorated to look like a christmas tree. Not a lot of possibilities for what to call him
Theoretically there could've been a "is this Bonnie or Toy Bonnie" issue, but everyone seems to agree it's Bonnie. Knock on wood

Day 379

Purple Accessories Golden Freddy from Funko
The blacklight variants of Golden Freddy(who is also a variant of Freddy) range in creativity. Not much, mind you, but still. This one is probably the least creative. Sure he's a more vibrant yellow than original Golden Freddy mystery mini, but his biggest differences are just in his- well, accessories. Credit where credit is due, though, I like the way his eyes look

Day 378
Tumblr media
Blue Balloon Boy from Funko
Y'know, the weirdest part about this figure is that the "Balloons!" text on the sign is still visible. Funko really chooses the oddest details to prioritize. Anyway, this is a variant of Balloon Boy and he's less obscure than I thought he'd be. Sure google images assumed I meant Frostbite BB, but I was able to find a decent image right away. As for how "on theme" he is(since he's from an advent calendar), he ain't half bad. He looks kind of like ice thanks to the color combined with the translucency

Day 377
Tumblr media
Blue Blacklight Freddy from Funko
Y'know I can see why this color palette was chosen for the blacklight Showtime. This variant of Freddy looks pretty neat. He's also the final variant for the original blacklight plushie set. And there's a chance I was wrong when I mentioned(way back in the first few days, wow) that these were originally designed by funko. While they never officially showed up in Help Wanted, the timeline between its start of development and these guys being announced is lined up well enough
Do I believe this is the case? Well, while I do still think that the "Funko invented the concept" stance is more likely to be correct in general, the action figures in particular were clearly designed for Help Wanted. So Steel Wool can't take all the blame for Funko's little obsession

Day 376
Tumblr media
Ultraviolet Foxy from Youtooz
Well I discussed Beacon Bonnie and several scrapped variants from the games and other merch companies, might as well talk about this one. In 2022 Youtooz did a little "likes vs retweets" thing so fans could choose a variant of Foxy to make into a figure. This is the one that lost. By how much? I'm not sure, since I'm pretty sure the original tweet was deleted. But he definitely didn't win

Day 375

Prototype Chica and Prototype Cupcake from Fnaf: Secret of the Mimic
Well I've stalled for as long as I could. Here are the final variants for SOTM! This variant of Chica is definitely the one who's been treated the nicest. The only thing she's missing is her eyes and a fair chunk of her suit. Heck, she may even be the most painted! Sure being blind would theoretically be an inconvenience, but since she behaves like the rest of her group I suppose it doesn't really matter
Now this variant of the Cupcake? Well, he's also fairly intact(no surprise, it's a fairly simple design), but he's probably one of the creepiest? The lack of a suit does not pair well with the mouth. It's a good thing that this Cupcake can't attack the player

Day 374

Pink Blacklight Toy Bonnie from Funko
Funko doesn't always make a clear distinction between variants of the same character. The pint sized hero versions of Foxy and Mangle, the lack of distinction between Cupcake and Toy Cupcake, the way Blacklight Rockstar Freddy is just a remodel of Blue Blacklight Freddy. That last one is especially important, because it's the same case for this variant of Bonnie, Toy Bonnie, and arguably Blacklight Bonnie. I wasn't even sure if this was actually a Toy Bonnie plush at first because everything is the exact same minus the little cheek patches. And those aren't always reliable
But unlike the Foxy vs Mangle situation, this one is easily solved by looking at the non-blacklight version of the keychain set. And thank god for that

Day 373
Tumblr media
Gold Circus Freddy from Funko
Because the one thing this world needs more of of more gold variants of Freddy(also a variant of Circus Freddy)
Anyway, this lil guy is one of the retail exclusives and honestly that's no surprise. Not only is he a recolor of another mystery mini(of which the Balloon Circus set has several), making metallic-ish versions of characters is somewhat common for Funko merch(at least for fnaf). Plus, y'know, it's gold. Even if we ignore the significance that color has for the series(especially with Freddy), it's just generally a sign of "value". As for how he is on his own merit? Well the sculpt is cute and the solid color looks surprisingly nice. Which is more than you can say about some merch

Quad Endo from Fnaf World: Halloween Edition
I'm still not over Firefox animating gifs that are copy-pasted
Anyway, this variant of the endoskeleton(and Mad Endo I guess) is probably gonna be the last variant fnaf world and its halloween edition that I cover. As you can see, its main gimmick is its four arms. If it was in the main game it could've possibly had somet special attack. But unlike its weaker version, it stayed in this troll game and didn't get to join the roster of "real" enemies

Day 371
Tumblr media
Pink Blacklight Foxy from Funko
Imma be real here, it took several minutes for me to find this variant and I initially assumed past-me put the one Good Stuff plushie in the funko section of my doc by accident. This is because he is exclusive to a 4 pack and I guess I was too focused on the Springtrap to notice him. Anyway, it seems that Foxy has joined Bonnie in the "pink and green blacklight" club, with blue as his main color instead of the bit of purple on the latter. But unlike the bunny, he's definitely on the more obscure side. He only has that figure and google images also assumed I meant the Good Stuff plushie

Day 370
Tumblr media
Red Freddy from Funko
Remember how I talked about having trouble finding the christmas colors Freddy? Ya, when I was searching for images for this variant of Freddy, I kept coming across that guy. This feels ironic. Anyway, there's plenty of people who think this is Redbear, but I'm not convinced. Funko is rather lazy with its merch, but it does usually try to establish some distinction between the canon Freddy variants. And I don't really get that vibe from this guy? Combine that with the metallic-ish coloring and I think he's just another recolor for the sake of recolors
Now, what does metallic red have to do with christmas? I have no clue, but he exists and I like the color, so I'm somewhat glad he exists

Day 369
Tumblr media
Prototype Spring Bonnie from Fnaf: Secret of the Mimic
I think this is the closest we're gonna get to an actual model of Spring Bonnie. Sure we've seen 8-bit sprites and several drawings, but in terms of non-scrapped 3d depictions? Well unless you count the in-universe toys, we had nothing that wasn't scrapped. At least until SOTM came out, which features this variant of Spring Bonnie, Springtrap, and Bonnie. It's actually a lot more similar to Fredbear than the past sprites would imply. The bullies probably could've used it for their prank instead if the Crying Child was more afraid of it

Day 368
Tumblr media
Blacklight Nightmare Chica from Just Toys
Y'know, when I just had the box picture to go off of, this variant of Chica and Nightmare Chica didn't look that bad. But the lighting and the lack of detail on the cup itself... Well, the green fits in with these being "blacklights" and the fact that its colors were going to match the scrapped Blacklight Nightmare Cupcake is neat. Aside from that, though? Honestly it kinda speaks for itself
