With permission from @dailyreimi, our previous host, some other blogs and I will be handling this year’s event so you can look forward to another year of grand seasonal fun!

Your hosts for this evening event? Look no further, this year’s lovely hosts are @dailyshadowdio​ and @weeklydiavolo. We might be managing the event, but don’t worry, we’ll all be available to dance.

When: from Dec 30th to Jan 14th (You may continue to interact pass this date if these set dates aren’t enough time for you)

Here’s how to participate!

Design your own outfit for your character! Get as creative as you want, but keep it formal! You want to impress your date after all… wait, date?

It’s recommended that you find a date to the Winter Ball. It could be that one person you admire, that other blog you’ve secretly been crushing on… but hurry and ask before they’re taken!

Ask others to dance, share a drink, catch up on the gossip with your local villain. There are no enemies at this event—unless you make one

Keep an eye out for updates from the hosts during the event!

Don’t forget to tag content with #bdwinterball — and check out past interactions in the tag if anything here is unclear!

As with any event, there are rules:

Keep it PG-13, people! This is an event made for dancing!

While conflict between ball-goers’ characters is encouraged, we’d like for everyone to help us maintain a safe and comfortable environment while browsing

That means that between blog mods, behavior like tossing insults, threats, personal attacks, or callout posts should be kept outside of winter ball-related posts as much as possible

Don’t forget to tag the following content: alcohol, drugs, blood, and smoking/vaping

If a rule is broken, one of the hosts will deliver a warning. Multiple warnings can result in removal from the end-of-ball voting, or removal from the event altogether.
