daily blooky: i won't forget
spoilers for the ending of deltarune chapter 3 continues from definitely illegal
inspired loosely by this lovely art by brokenclockgears
"Kris is going to seal the fountain now, so you won't have to wait long... I'm so sorry you got caught up in all this, officer."
Napstablook nodded silently. Though they didn't completely understand the young boy's words, they knew just from glancing at the pulsating pillar of darkness that it was very important, and they should very much not interfere.
They quietly got themself out of the way. From here, the expanse of white was a lot clearer. They scanned the scene—piles of... snow...? stretched to the horizons, with a door somewhere in the distance.
As they looked, something brightly-colored caught their eye.
Buried in the snow was a tall, person-shaped figure—probably about three times their height—lain haplessly like a discarded toy. Despite its size, they could've missed it if they weren't looking. A casualty from the earlier fight, maybe? They felt a pang of sadness... even the three teens, preoccupied with "sealing the fountain", didn't seem to be paying it any mind.
They floated over, taking a closer look.
It was dressed smartly with a bright red tailcoat—once carefully pressed, but now rumpled—and equally bright yellow tie, both made slightly damp by the snow. Its head was a bulky television, its screen cracked and displaying only a color test.
"hello...?"
There was a lingering silence before they heard a crackly voice, like it was fighting to be heard.
"H-hello? Can you... hear me?"
"yes...? yes i can... are you okay"
"I..."
A glitchy noise, something like air sucked through teeth.
"No... I can't move."
It was then when they noticed the figure had no arms, with severed wires jutting out of its shoulders.
They laid down next to the figure, their cop hat falling to the ground. Any thoughts about the legality of dismemberment were pushed aside, overtaken by their empathy.
The sound of a speaker crackling, again. "I can't... see."
"oh... that's okay... i'll, um," They didn't know how much time they had left here (wherever "here" was), nor did they know what "not long" entailed, but they didn't want to leave someone alone in a situation like this—lying on the ground, like garbage. How familiar. "i don't know how long i can, but i'll stay here with you, if that's fine..."
The voice didn't protest, which they assumed was a yes.
The familiar darkness seemed to stretch far upwards as well, with no ceiling or stars in sight. It was decisively notrelaxing.
The voice sputtered a bit, indecipherable.
"what was that?"
"It hurts."
"...oh......"
They didn't know what to say—no words could make the pain disappear, they knew.
"i'm so sorry..."
"It's... I'm..." the voice started, before being interrupted by a sharp, static noise—something like a sigh.
"hm...?"
"... scared. I'm scared," the words were laced with guilt like it was an admission to a crime.
"that's okay..." Napstablook rolled closer, hoping to provide some comfort, even if they couldn't be seen or felt. "i hope you'll be okay"
Silence. No, that wasn't good enough.
"i know you'll be okay"
A short ring of feedback.
"You mean it?"
"... yeah"
A long pause.
"The name's, uh"—The voice crackled and glitched, as if looking for any semblance of composure—"Tenna. If you... if you wanted to know that."
"tenna... okay, i won't forget"
A sound like a choked-back sob.
"Thank you..."

daily blooky: definitely illegal
spoilers for the ending of deltarune chapter 3
Napstablook didn't know where they were.
Undyne had received a phone call—it sounded serious—and, for some reason, entrusted them with dealing with it, as if she wasn't the chief of police. Something about having to meet someone for... something.
"oh... are you sure.... i'm not sure if i'm the right person for the job...."
"You're the effing DEPUTY!! You can do it, I believe in you!!"
With that, they had made their way to a quaint little house on the edge of town, and before they knew it, they were plunged into the darkness.
...
"hellooooo...?" they called out into the abyss, at a volume which nobody would be able to hear, even if anyone was there.
The darkness, of course, did not respond.
So, they floated along for a while—they lost track of time, without a clock—and simply hoped they'd come across some sign of life. It reminded them of the feeling of floating in space they'd get when laying on the ground, but much more frightening than relaxing.
There! There it was, bright white against the darkness, a stark contrast to the scene their eyes had grown used to. They couldn't tell what was going on—it was much too far—but it gave them hope they'd make it home to their cousins after all.
A quickened pace helped them gradually shorten the distance between themself and the expanse of white, making some figures come into view. One figure (a tall monster?) was struck by another (they couldn't make much out, save for the silhouette) and quickly fell to the ground.
A fight...? that's definitely illegal...
The worry for their safety was replaced with the worry for the blurry figures' safety as they rushed forward as fast as they could.
A tall, dark figure was holding a sword dangerously close to the neck of a shorter one. Two other collapsed bodies told them all they needed to know, and panic filled their soul.
"hey, um..."
Their quiet words went unheard. Pushing their anxiety aside, they mustered the energy to speak more loudly.
"HEY, UM..."
The two figures turned to look at them. Shoot, they didn't plan this far.
"hey... stop.... police....."
The two looked confused.
"that's, um... assault... and that's illegal...."
That didn't seem to make them any less confused, but the tall figure had dropped their sword, so Napstablook was somewhat satisfied.
"so... you have to come with me, and i'll have to take you to the police station..."
The tall figure made a gesture like rolling their eyes—though they didn't have any—and morphed into some sort of sphere, spinning like a disc on a turntable.
"hey, wait—"
With no reply (expected of a sphere), the sphere wooshed past into the darkness, far faster than Napstablook or even Undyne could chase after.
Evading arrest... also definitely illegal.

daily blooky: silence is bad news
Hometown is a boring, crime-less place. This is pretty good in general, but not great for the police station.
Undyne seems rather on-edge—"There has to be SOMETHING goin' on... it's way too QUIET today! Silence is bad news!!"
Napstablook hovers idly near the wall. "that makes sense, but uhh... it's been pretty quiet for a couple weeks now... and there hasn't been any crime..."
"Since the Wet-Nose Bandits," Undyne corrects.
"since the wet-nose bandits"
Undyne groans.
Inside the cell, the dogs sit on the floor, playing a card game.
"um... the prisoners seem to be having fun..."
"NOT HELPING!!"
