I just silently screamed over seeing you post again XD. Now all the nostalgia is making me want to go and finish my old Shizaya fic from many years ago.

Omggg 🥺 I’m so glad!! ❤️ I also have an old Shizaya fic I never finished, but since I’m getting back into the fandom, maybe I will. It’s a restaurant where Izaya is a flirtatious waiter who catches Shizuo’s eye. It’s a slow burn 🔥

This has probably been asked before, but any Shizaya New Years headcanons? Happy new year glace 🥰🥰

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! I did some holiday ones a little while ago, but I’m always down to do more lolol. I have fun writing headcanons:

Izaya tries making baked goods on New Year’s day. They turn out ugly as hell, but Shizuo eats them all and tells him they’re good with the blankest expression on his face so much to the point that if Izaya didn’t know him he wouldn’t believe him.

Shizuo makes a new year’s resolution every year to have less violence in his life and every year he fails. Now that he has Izaya in his life Izaya tells him he’s more than welcome to try but his doubts grow more and more every year with a smug little smile on his face. Shizuo knows he’s right but he’s still indignant.

Izaya’s resolution is to see lots of people and eat lots of good traditional food. Shizuo tells him he should try doing something about his personality for a change.

They go to the temple and ring the bell. They read their fortunes. Izaya never lets Shizuo see his yet steals Shizuo’s. No matter what his result, Shizuo can expect a snide comment.

The kiss at midnight always. <3 Depending on where they are determines how long they kiss.

Izaya buying Shizuo one of those happy/angry octopuses and whenever it's on angry Izaya will put it on top of his head and give him a kiss.

"Still angry?"

"Yeah. But kiss me again."

"Stay away from me" with shizaya please 💕

"Stay away from me."

Shizuo's brow twitched down, irritation pinching his skin. "Izaya, if you don't get your ass in bed right now—"

"A simple cold is not going to kill me, and neither are you, so quit giving me that menacing stare; you're going to get wrinkles if you keep frowning like that." Izaya's voice was taunting, the opposite of his cautious stance behind his chair. He held the back of it, directing the seat towards Shizuo in a makeshift shield. They'd been having this argument all night, and Shizuo had finally decided that he was done putting up with Izaya's shit.

Shizuo strode the couple of feet between them angrily, and Izaya yelped, stumbling back from the chair. He wasn't fast enough however, and before he knew it Shizuo had grabbed his arm, dragging him over to the bed. He pinned him down to it, securing his other wrist, and leaving Izaya squirming moodily underneath him.

"Let me go right now—ahaHA!"

"I thought I told you to get some rest," Shizuo repeated, though he sounded calmer now as he vibrated his hands into Izaya's ribs. The info broker shrieked in response, writhing and kicking his legs in frantic protest. "If you want to act like a child about this, then you're gonna get punished like one."

"AhAhAHA, nahahat thEHEHERE!" Izaya tossed his head back, his already flushed face growing redder. With his already compromised state, he found himself too weak to do much of anything but laugh underneath the other. "Tihihickling ihihihihisn't fahahair!"

"Are you gonna go to bed?"

"Nohohoho!"

"Then we're gonna stay here till you agree to."

It took several minutes for the info broker to finally give in, collapsing into a giggly puddle in the other's arms. It was some of the best sleep he'd gotten in quite a while.

Shizuo being overly affectionate in bed one night, hugging all up against Izaya and being all sweet. Izaya, too flustered and bashful to know what to do with himself, gives him one gentle kiss, before hiding his face in the pillows.

“That’s all you get, Shizu-chan.”

Which only makes Shizuo want him even MORE.

Whenever Shizuo gets too overwhelmed by his emotions or pissed off, he'll grab Izaya in an angry hug and bury his face into the back of his neck until he feels calm again. Izaya will raise a brow but not say anything, knowing that the other needs something to tether himself to so he doesn't get lost in himself. He'll let him stay there as long as he wants until he feels okay again, and Shizuo's never able to describe how thankful he is to the other for that.

Every time I re watch Durarara and Shizuo and Izaya are on screen, doing their thing, I always get a big doofy grin on my face. Every time 😅

Doctor au

Shizuo is the tall handsome doctor that just happens to catch Izaya's eye. Izaya is always coming to him with some blatantly fake minor injury or illness (never too serious of course) just to see Shizuo.

Domestic au

Izaya being an intellectual father who loves to joke around with his kids. If he is asked a question he will thoroughly answer it but make it simple for his child to understand. He loves to fool and joke around with his kids, and Shizuo will smile admiringly and lovingly at the sight.

Shizuo was hesitant for any physical contact like hugs or holding hands in the beginning of the relationship, but after a while it became second nature for both of them to know when the other wanted to cuddle or initiate any form of touching.

Sometimes, after a long stressful day at work, Shizuo will come home and find Izaya with an innocent smile on his face in only a robe on their bed that is covered in roses and sweet scented candles around it.
