Chapter III: perfectly fine

When confronted with perfection, how do we let it change us? I like to think we can choose to take a piece and use it to shine the light on what we like about ourselves. Instead of letting Fran Fine stand for unachievable goals, she stands as a beacon for admiration. The Nanny doesn't get enough credit for it post post feminism viewpoint, and is comfortable relying on the naïveté of it's larger fan base of casual humor enthusiasts. The raw sex appeal of Fran Fine has always seem to run a parallel to my own path to womanhood. As a character, she inspired parts of my personality I know I haven't even discovered yet. With her short sequined skirts and humorous fear of potential spinsterdom, she grants each and every one of us the ability to see ourselves as a potential living work of art. I can't give up hope that I, too, could one day work for a millionaire for eight seasons before marrying him and adopting his by then adult children. Also, remember that time Mr. Sheffield told her he loved her and then took it back? Cold shit.
