Hello, I'm Ninna, a solitary witch from Brazil, and I am 21 years old. I'm not a very experienced witch. I'm on tumblr because this is an awesome tool to learn witchcraft, meet witches from all over the world and share magick experiences, of course. I worship Ganeshae, Mardoll, Hecate Yinepu, and Aset. I post a lot of spells, sigils, information about deities and witchy pictures. Let's share some magick knowledge! Feel free to send me a message. Welcome to my online B.O.S!

DEVOTIONAL ACTS AND OFFERINGS TO ODIN
Tumblr media
~May also serve as ideas for an altar~
Disclaimer: I have only worked with Odin briefly (for about 8 months a year ago), so while these come from experiences and research, they will not be as extensive as Fenrir's list. :)
Physical Offerings:
Feathers (Corvids typically, Raven, Crow, etc. I gave him a few hawk feathers at some point.)
Runes (As the God who discovered the Runes! I made my own rune set from natural clay and dedicated it to him, but you can also buy a set)
Drawings and Art of Him
Poetry or Stories you've Written
Candles and Incense (usually in muskier/more masculine scents)
Wine/Ale/Mead/Whiskey (Handle responsibly and legally for your country laws)
Bird Imagery (Occasionally you can find Crystal Ravens in some shops)
Spearheads and Arrowheads
A Drinking Horn
Draw his symbols (Triple Horn of Odin, the Valknot)
Red Meat, Smoked Salmon (It is said that his Wolves eat Odin's food, so meat-based offerings tend to be given)
Herbs: Wormwood, Mugwort, Ash Tree Leaves/Bark, Plaintain, Chamomile, Myrrh, Frankencence, Lavender, Valerian, Yew
Crystals: Onyx, Carnelian, Sodalite, Red Jasper, Citrine, Amethyst, Agate, Gold, Jet
Colors: Dark Blue, Gold, White, Grey, Black, Orange
Spiritual Offerings
Putting Effort into Learning (He is the God of Knowledge, after all)
Being accepting of those around you (Odin is the ALLfather, not the Somefather. Show respect and care towards people who might be different than you)
Speak out against injustice
Taking Leadership, even when it's difficult
Make Donations or Volunteer for Veterans or those who have served in War
Going on an Adventure/Travelling
Other
Give a simple offering/acknowledge his Wife and Children
Wednesday is said to be "Odin's Day" in some stores. Leave offerings or reach out to him on those days
Reminder to the White Supremacist and Neo-Nazi followers of Odin,
This is not a space for you.

Note
Hi! I really love your worship posts and wanted to ask if you could make ones for Loki and Odin please? Thank you :)
Ways of Worshipping the All-Father Odin
(Loki's post coming soon)
- have an altar dedicated to him, as much as Norse Gods want direct and equality in communication they are fans of lavish things and flattery
- alcohol such as red wine, mead, aquavit or whiskey
- a nice chalice to pour liquid offerings into
- a mug of coffee, take a sip first and then offer the rest to him
- write and burn a poem for him
- write dramatic stories and music and read them to him, he loves drama, pour your heart into it
- share jokes with him!
- do your shadow work
- offer your pain and suffering, feel your emotions, write them down and burn them as an offering
- spend time in the woods/nature
- FLATTERY, it goes a long way with the Norse Gods
- learn and use his many names such as, the All-Father, the Victory-Father, Grimnir, Hanged Man, Wotan, Masked One, Rune God, Jolnir, Gelding, Grey beard and the One eyed Wanderer
(Knowing and using the many names is a form of flattery)
- fruit
- horse, Raven, wolf and bear imagery
- black feather, raven skulls etc (ethically sourced)
- horse shoes
- wolf pawprints, fur and teeth (ethically sourced)
- Runes: Ansuz, Wunjo, Gebo and Othala.
- learn Rune magic and Rune divination
- the Hanged Man tarot card
- dedicate a form of divination to him as Odin, being associated with Horses often led him to being associated with divination 🤷‍♀️
- a statue of himself
- black, red, grey, cobalt or purple candles
- partake in rituals and celebrations such as Sigrblót (April 15th), Yggdrasil day (April 22nd), the Last Harvest (October 31st), and Yule
- Red meats especially beef
- smoked salmon
- leaks, asparagus and garlic
- eat well! Dedicate the meal to him and his wolves Geri and Freki
- feast! Spoil yourself on Wednesdays! (And spoil Odin a bit too)
- offer your secrets and speak respectfully as you would to others, the Norse Gods prefer to be spoken to as equals
- (a pipe with) tobacco
- The Nine Sacred Herbs: ash leaves, elm leaves, parsley, woad, cinquefoil, horehound, periwinkle
- make donations to or do volunteer work at a veterans organisations
- riddles and puzzles
- many heathens say that it is best to directly commune with the All-Father and ask what he wants specifically, he is a jack of all trades deity, and encompasses many aspects such as, war, poetry, riddles, kingship, magic, inspiration, death, self-empowerment, transformation, leadership, travel, madness, academia and wisdom meaning there are so many different types of offerings you could give him
- acts of courage such as standing up for yourself or others
- be wise, know or learn your boundaries in all different areas of life, financial, spiritual, social etcetera
- learn! There is so much in this world to learn, dedicate your time studying to Odin, whether it be mythos, war history or just studying for fun or classes, dedicate that time to him, maybe even light his candle
- dedicate the 9th month of the year to your practice with the All-Father, the number 9 is sacred to him, if you can find multiple ways to incorporate it into your offerings and practice as well
- become an educator, a professor, a leader or a tutor, allow yourself the ability to learn and teach at the same time

Which crystals aren’t safe in water?
Lately, I’ve been seeing many posts and discussions about how to cleanse your crystals, charge your crystals, yadda yadda, and I noticed people really like to dump them in water BUT don’t really specify which crystals are safe or unsafe with it in their posts, which is fine until someone ruins their crystal collection or worse, their health.
Thus, here I am with a quick list I made after some snooping around on the internet, enjoy!
The major water-unsafe crystals I found are:
Amazonite
Apatite
Apophyllite
Azurite
Celestite
Fluorite, which is worse in salt water
Gypsum
Halite
Hematite
Labradorite when immersed for too long
Lepidolite
Malachite
Opal, though Australian Boulder Opal is generally safe
Pyrite
Selenite
Tangerine Quartz
Turquoise
Ulexite
this list isn’t exhaustive of course, feel free to add more
In addition please note that: some elements, like mercury, copper and aluminum can be found in crystals and are toxic in high amounts. Quartz is only generally considered safe, and it doesn’t matter what kind of water you use - if it’s been blessed, if it’s moon water - water is water and will chemically affect your crystals so please take this into account!
Source: https://amarisland.myshopify.com/blogs/news/water-safe-crystals-which-ones-are-and-which-are-not
Here is another veeeeery long list I found, but I’m not sure about it, you tell me if you’re knowledgable on the subject!

25 Tarot Books You MUST Read If You Want To Grow Your Tarot Skills! By THERESA REED.
Seventy-Eight Degrees of Wisdom: A Book of Tarot by Rachel Pollack – deep and rich with information, no list is complete without this book.  If I did have to pick a favorite, this may be it.
Learning the Tarot: A Tarot Book for Beginners by Joan Bunning – based on her online course, this book will get any tarot newbie reading the tarot proficiently in no time.
Mary K. Greer’s 21 Ways to Read a Tarot Card by Mary Greer – novel ideas to expand your tarot skills.
The Complete Book of Tarot Reversals (Special Topics in Tarot Series) by Mary Greer – I’m a fan of reversals (they are not mandatory by the way) and this is THE book for those of us who choose to read upside down.  (Honorable mention:  Joan Bunning also has a good book on reversals, Learning Tarot Reversals )
The Complete Tarot Reader: Everything You Need to Know from Start to Finish by Teresa Michaelson – this book has a massive amount of information – it’s like a little encyclopedia
Tarot Masterclass by Paul Fenton-Smith – this book is rarely mentioned but I think it is pure genius.  Not just a tarot primer but also a great section on being a professional tarot reader.  (Honorable mention: Fenton-Smith also has a great beginner’s book, The Tarot Revealed: A Beginner’s Guide )
The Tarot Handbook: Practical Applications of Ancient Visual Symbols by Angeles Arrien – featuring the Thoth deck, this book will help you to understand tarot clearly – even if you do not read with the Thoth deck
The Way of Tarot: The Spiritual Teacher in the Cards by Alejandro Jodorowsky and Marianne Costa – This profound book gets super deep with the Marseille deck.  How I wish I would have had this book when I first started out!
Tarot Plain and Simple by Anthony Louis – loads of interpretations and a slant towards  beginners, this is the book I recommend to all my students
Understanding the Tarot Court (Special Topics in Tarot Series) by Mary Greer – face it, the Court cards are one of the hardest suits for any tarotist to master.  Greer spells it all out with clarity.  LOVE this one.
Tarot: A New Handbook for the Apprentice, Classic Ed (Connolly Tarot) by Eileen Connolly – this is the first tarot book I ever got my hands on.  It’s still a treasured favorite.  Some might be put off by her Christian undertones but I find the interpretations to be pure gold.  I love all of her works.
SuperTarot: New Techniques for Improving Your Tarot Reading by Sasha Fenton – although this is out of print, it is worth searching for a copy. The techniques contained within will help you expand your tarot skills.
The Secret Language of Tarot by Ruth Ann and Wald Amberstone – a fantastic book detailing the symbols in the tarot cards.
Tarot for Life: Reading the Cards for Everyday Guidance and Growth by Paul Quinn – A modern book with real life examples of tarot readings, this one will help you bring your readings to life.
Best Tarot Practices: Everything You Need to Know to Learn the Tarot by Marcia Masino – another great book that tends to be overlooked, this one has novel exercises and good advice on reading tarot professionally.
Tarot: Your Everyday Guide by Janina Renee – this book focuses on using tarot for dispensing advice.
Beyond the Celtic Cross: Secret Techniques for Taking Tarot to an Exciting New Level by Paul Hughes Barlow and Catherine Chapman – a very different approach to tarot – card counting and elemental dignities explained in a conversational format.
Rachel Pollack’s Tarot Wisdom: Spiritual Teachings and Deeper Meanings by Rachel Pollack – once again, Pollack delivers an impeccable and thought provoking book with new insights for the modern tarot reader.
Classic Tarot Spreads by Sandor Konraad – I’ve had this book for years and learned many a good spread from it.  (Honorable mentions:  Learning Tarot Spreads by Joan Bunning and Tarot Spreads and Layouts A User’s Manual For Beginning and Intermediate Readers by Jeanne Fiorini)
The Spoken Cabala: Tarot Explorations of the One Self by Jason Lotterhand – based on the Thursday night talks from Lotterhand, this book will give you some insight into the Kabbalah and how it relates to tarot.  (Honorable mentions:  Tarot and the Tree of Life: Finding Everyday Wisdom in the Minor Arcana by Isabel Radow Kliegman for a glimpse on how Kabbalah weaves through the Minor Arcana plus The Tarot Workbook: Understanding and Using Tarot Symbolism by Emily Peach which is a great Kabbalah/tarot primer for beginners)
Tarot Decoded: Understanding and Using Dignities and Correspondences by Elizabeth Hazel – every single dignity and correspondence you can imagine is featured here.
Who Are You in the Tarot?: Discover Your Birth and Year Cards and Uncover Your Destiny by Mary Greer – this is a fantastic book that gives deep insights on your personality, life and journey based on your “birth card”.
Tarot for Beginners: A Practical Guide to Reading the Cards by Barbara Moore – the easiest beginner book out there, this one will appeal to absolute newbies and those who are really sure they can’t “get it”.  Moore shows you that you CAN.
Tarot 101: Mastering the Art of Reading the Cards by Kim Huggens – excellent exercises, good reading list suggestions and a unique format make this book one you cannot miss.  Good for all levels.
Tarosophy : Tarot to Engage Life, Not Escape it by Marcus Katz – Hip and modern, full of useful information and exercises – plus it has stuff for all levels (beginner, intermediate and advanced).  It’s a very intellectual book – this is no “tarot for dummies”.

Hypothetical routine(s) and stuff for a baby witch to do
So a lot of people I think are feeling that once you become a witch you need to do lots of things, but they aren’t terribly sure what it is they are ‘supposed’ to do. Here are just a few little ideas for things you could do, if you wanted to.
During creative free time:
Write affirmations or prayers
You could write them for daily use (like a morning affirmation), one for each day of the week, one for phases of the moon, or different ones to encourage or bind emotions or help you get through tough days.
Doodle sigils for use during a later time
Be creative and have fun, as you are not ‘required’ to use any sigil you have made.
Think about what kind of energy (elemental, herbal, animal, planetary, etc) you thin would best be used to charge each sigil
Create lists of magical ideas you would like to explore or write spells for
Don’t worry about whether something is ‘real’ enough or will work or not.
Make a list of tools you would like and tools you already have
Draw or write about your perfect ideal tools and what you expect them to do for you
Include herbs, stones, crafts, natural finds, and anything else you like
Create an inventory of things around you, in your home, or that you can easily find, for use in your craft
Write what your current beliefs are
Contemplate your current belief system and morals, and how you think magic works.
Make a list of the most important things you want to learn more about or explore
Write down your current talents and abilities and try to think of ways they can be used magically
Build altars
Draw ideas or create digital altars if you do not have the physical space
Be inspired and create them spontaneously or spend your time and research all the elements.
Try writing a spell - it doesn’t matter if you know a ‘right’ or ‘correct’ way. Just give it a try and see what you come up with!
During research time:
Research what sort of plants are local to your area and discover what their uses are
Look up the medicinal and magical uses of herbs and plants you have in the house and on your property
See if you can discover what sorts of special crystals or stones are near your area or mined close by
Take your lists of magical items you want and research their uses, both modern and historical
Try to discover not only what an item is used for, but why, and how it became associated with those actions.
Research what kind of religions and magical traditions have historically been practiced in your area
Look up lore and mythology for your geographic location
Find what sorts of helpful books are at your library, whether they be related to religion, psychology, meteorology, mythology, history, gardening, herbalism, cooking, magical traditions, or anything else pertaining to your magical education.
Find a popular pagan or magical author and research them to understand the context behind their writings and get an idea of what others think of them
Create your own reading list of library books to keep you occupied
Research closed religions/closed magical systems so you can understand what is not available for you to use, and to gain valuable information on other magical cultures.
During practice time:
Choose 2-3 energetic exercises such as these:
How to send energy to other people
Energetic Check
Distance Charging
Texting Predictions
Energy Ball
Energy Cannonball
Witch’s Guide to Programing
Witch’s Guide to Grounding
Witch’s Guide to Centering
Witch’s Guide to Shielding (Shielding Masterpost)
Witch’s Guide to Charging
Work on a couple of exercises until you feel really comfortable with them and are satisfied that you now have that skill. Then try practicing others.
Spend 50-70% of the time figuring out how to make the exercise personal to you and comfortable for you
Spend 10-20% of the time learning how to focus and get in the necessary headspace to do energy work
Write (if you want) and/or perform simple candle, knot, paper, (whatever) spells as need arises
Try spells for bringing peace and calmness in to your space, giving yourself good luck, protecting against certain dangers, causing small events to happen, or binding harmful actions done against you
Identify unique needs you face in your everyday life and try to manage and control them with energy work
During upkeep time:
Cleanse your personal spaces
Learn floor washes and keep the recipes and ingredients handy
Discover what cleansings and purifications will work for your situation
Personally cleanse
Take a cleansing shower or bath with special ingredients or using the powers of elemental energies
Do healing/balancing meditations or spells
Clean your altars and tools, keep your spaces tidy
Leave offerings to any spirits you work with
Weed your gardens, check on your plants or pets
Update your grimoire or journals
Include personal experiences, new successes, or things that you have learned
After waking up for the day:
Repeat appropriate prayers or affirmations
Spend time in meditation
You can try to clear your mind, magically make way for the day ahead, or do a guided meditation for preparedness or any other purpose
Draw a tarot or oracle card for the day
Use any magical oils or soaps as part of your waking routine
Including glamoring magic as you get ready for the day is a good way to practice
State your goals for the day with magical intent
Magically plan for free time you need during the day so it will be sure to be open for you
During snacks and meals:
Enchant food by adding in herbs or spices with a little energy and a magical command
Enchant drinks by stirring, adding energy, and a command
Give small offerings to spirits you work with by leaving a little food left over on your plate
Magically affirm that the food will bring you energy
Before going to bed for the day:
Repeat prayers or affirmations
Spend time in meditation
If you meditate when you get up and when you go to bed, try a sunrise or sunset meditation, or complementary meditations
Identify what successes you have had that day
Push away or transform any negative energies send to you that day
Add additional protective shields for sleeping
That was all I could think of. Add more if you think of some!

The Magick of Booze: A Correspondence Table
This is my own personal correspondence table for the use of alcohol in magick. It may not match your own usage of alcohol, but if you like anything you see, feel free to adopt it. Some of this is based in what the alcohol is made from, some on its history, and some of this is based in personal experience or associations. This is not about alcohol as an offering, but the usage of it as a spell component. The list is in no way exhaustive and does not include mixed drinks or brands. Just your basics.
Distilled Spirits
Absinthe: (Air) Useful in protection work. It is especially useful for safe astral travel. Using it to draw sigils for safe travels on one’s body before leaving it can keep away nasties in the meantime.
Gin: (Earth) Useful in spells promoting good health and is good as a binding ingredient for other alcohols’ properties. It can also be a good to use if the caster of the spell lives in poverty and this is pertinent to the spell in some way.
Rum: (Water) Useful in money spells or spells for gaining other material possessions. Rum can be especially useful in a spell involving an underhanded motive or intention, especially if the results leave you with more as a side effect of the spell’s main goal.
Tequila: (Fire) Tequila is all about timing. Perfect, exact timing. It can be used in spells involving punctuality, appointments, or decision making. It can be used when something has to be done just right, as well. Never use it for something involving the past or anything about the future. Tequila is always for the present, and in this moment, as they come issues.
Vodka: (Fire and Water) Good for strength and courage. Lifting yourself up by the bootstraps and carrying on with what needs to be done no matter how hard it is or how tired you are. Can be used in spells involving getting through difficult times, motivation, pushing forward, finishing projects. Shit’s gotta get done? Vodka.
Whiskey: (Water) Whiskey can be used in spells to promote change, usually when change is unwanted by someone else. It helps bypass interference and bring the change about in ways that which opposes it does not immediately notice.
Brandy: (Earth) Brandy can be used in love spells, especially those for preserving pre-existing love. It can also be used for attracting a long-lasting love as opposed to a fling.
Fermented Beverages
Beer: (Earth) Beer is used in spells involving the home, family, and the past. It can also be used in spells involving practicality vs desire.
Cider: (Earth) Cider is used in spells for harvesting what you’ve already planted. It helps ensure that the things you’re working towards are successful and your effort is not wasted. But you must put in the effort.
Wine: (Earth and Air) Wine can be used in spells for health, stress relief, and blessings. It can also be used for spells involving standing on your own and independence.
Mead: (Air) Mead can be used for spells involving inspiration, study, education, scholarly pursuits, the arts, and oratory issues. It can also be used to sweeten the temper of yourself or someone else.
Sangria: (Fire) Sangria is good for happiness spells, celebrations, and anything involving good times and fun. It is also good for spells meant to broaden horizons and promote new experiences.

Forgetting That Ex Spell
As all things must surely have to end, and things must be left behind in the past, it’s best that we remember to carry our good feelings and happy times with us, and to discard the remnants of things that need be left alone. This spell is great for cutting out some of that pain that you endure when a relationship ends.
What you need:
picture of ex
lighter, blow torch, matches, whatever you prefer
heat safe container
bittersweet root
Small red sachet, baggie, mojo bag, whatever you wanna call it
Cast this spell on the night of a waning moon or dark moon is best, when it’s dark it is always more peaceful, and you won’t be disturbed. Place the picture of your ex in the heat safe container and light it on fire, as it burns down to ashes, meditate on your hurt and suffering leaving you while it turns to ashes and dust, chant the following with conviction:
“As you leave my life, I leave behind my pain. As you burn to dust, So does all my hurt. As I leave you in my past, I leave with you my sorrow.” Repeat this chant until his/her picture is reduced to ashes.  You may now throw these ashes as far from your house as possible, or bury them in a remote location with your pain and bad memories of the breakup.
Before you go to sleep for the night, take the bittersweet root and touch it to your forehead (third eye position - thousand leafed lotus),it’s always best to have let out all your emotions earlier while doing the burning, but if you feel you need to cry or scream and let out those last bits of remorse, feel free to do so now. Let the root soak up all your bad energies, then wrap it in the red cloth or put it in the sack, tying it with three knots, and then place it under your pillow or under your mattress near your head. Sleep with it there until your ex is a piece of your dead past and they no longer affect you as an individual.

Ways to honour Thor 🌩🍺
*These are my personal associations with Thor. Please keep negative comments to yourself.
Tumblr media
Read and study Thor in the Sagas, Poetic Edda and Prose Eda.
Train with weights and keep yourself fit and active.
Wear a symbol of Mjölnir, Thor’s hammer.
When there’s a storm, open your curtains/windows and watch the rain and lightning.
Go fishing!
Use the crystals red agate, iron, carnelian, and steel in your craft and to decorate your altar.
Help those in need and stand up for those who may not be able to stand up for themselves.
Eat and drink with friends and family; beer and hearty meals are good choices.
Volunteer to help at community centres, homeless shelters or charities for abused children.
Research the rune Thurisaz (ᚦ) and use it in your craft and to decorate your altar.
Spend time outdoors; go camping or for a hike.
Leave offerings of mead, beer, meat (with no broken bones), storm/rain water, leeks, onions, and objects struck by lightning.
Decorate your home and alter with reds, blues, silver, Mjölnir, thistles, statues of goats, lightning bolts, and acorns or other pieces of oak wood.
Pay particular attention to Thor on Thursdays.

“Bring me Matches” Rose Spell
Tumblr media
a spell i performed for a friend almost a year ago when she was ready to date again that got her 7 matches on tinder, one resulting in a hook up and the other resulting in a boy she is still dating to this day. highly customizable spell for the individual.
🌹 gather: 1 large rose petal (red or pink), selenite, a small box, colored candles of your choice, green tea leaves, small object(s) that represents the sort of people you would like to attract (crayon shavings for a creative person, a coin for someone who pays for their half of the date, etc.) 🌹 optional: small crystals and gemstones for their correspondences
*for my friend, i used pink, blue, yellow, and red candles, small bits of lapis lazuli and rose quartz*
🌹 after gathering your materials, draw a pentagram and place your chosen candles at a point. light each individual candle and place your rose petal in the center to charge for 5 minutes
🌹 little by little, place the objects you have chosen in the rose petal (if you chose to include small gemstones in your spell, place them at this time. ex. rose quartz for romance and love, lapis lazuli for clear communication, etc.)
🌹 begin sealing with the wax with the intent that the color correspondences of the wax will aid your spell promote the sort of relationship(s) you wish to gain through this spell (red candle wax for a passionate romance and/or lust, pink candle wax for more soft romantic energies to come, yellow for someone you can be happy with, will be like your best friend, and promote ease of communication, blue for someone you can feel relaxed with, white for something serious, etc. etc.)
🌹 while the wax is still warm, press the green tea leaves into the wax as a quick, fast-acting love catalyst. to quickly bring new romantic energies and passion. (green tea can also promote sexual health)
🌹 once the wax has set, place the rose petal and the selenite into a small box. the selenite is to help cleanse negative energies from affecting your spell
🌹 leave in a window to charge until satisfied
*disclaimer: the spell is fast acting and rather powerful, especially when red wax is used. as such, if you feel that your sex life is getting a bit out of hand, do remove the box from the window immediately so it will stop charging. i had to do that with a friend after an abrupt pregnancy scare a week later*
