Vacation is definitely for making mistakes, I’ve learned! I’ve made quite a few on vacation actually, but you know what, at least they make for good stories!

Halloween is by far my favorite time of the year.  I had so much fun this weekend dressing up.  I can’t wait to see all the costumes on Thursday.  Have you decided what you’re going to be for Halloween yet?

I’ve switched my costume twenty thirty times already. I’ve no idea what I want to be and that stresses more out. I’ve only got a few more days and I’m nowhere near sorting it out! There’s got to be some quick and easy excellent costume ideas out there, right? Maybe I’ll be a pun. Everyone loves pun costumes. Usually.... or not/

“Have you ever considered doing any work on TV?” A top notch actress like Daisy probably had her pick of scripts. So, Troian was curious if not staring in a TV program was a choice. “Cause’ I’ve gotten into directing a lot more recently. And I’d hire you in a heart beat.” Troian complimented the fellow actress. “You really do get to know every facet possible of a character. Some days, I remember more about Spencer than myself. If I’m being honest.” Troian admitted. “It’s been such a beautiful story. I’ve been happy to watch it.” She added.

I have done some television in the UK! But not as a consistent character. I was the murder victim of the week on one of our local crime shows. Had my cold dead tits out and everything. That would be excellent though, even if I couldn’t commit to playing a character for multiple seasons, it’d be lovely to even just cameo on your show! I’m sure you’re an excellent director! But goodness, that sounds wild. I imagine you end up thinking as her sometimes instead.

“Maybe I’ve gotten spoiled because I’ve been in the states so long. But remembering where I’m from. Often brings me a sense of humbling regarding how far America has come with sexism.” Gal admitted to Daisy. It wasn’t any secret that Gal wasn’t from around here. “That doesn’t make sexism here less prevalent. But it does often put things into respective for me.” Gal explained to her. “There will always be a man who is uncomfortable with a woman being associated with power. Because he believes that somehow takes away his power. Don’t ask me how or why.” Gal added, laughing at the absurdity of it all. “Yeah, we need to start telling more stories of women being heroes. Sans the male context.” Gal agreed. “Not making female characters from male ones also helps with the nitpicking.” Gal pointed out.  “We’re getting there.” She added with a small nod. 

Yeah, I’ve been quite lucky living in England because we’ve had a woman in charge for quite a while, so while we’ve got the Queen, it’s hard for people to suggest what women can and can’t do, you know? So that’s quite a lucky thing. But yes, there’s always going to be men who can’t handle it. Because for them, being on top for so long, equality is oppression and that’s the most absurd thing in the world to me. But absolutely! I think more female creators need to get involved as well, and just tell stories about powerful women and it’d be wonderful.

Like a whole new ennealogy, we finish the skywalker saga and move onto another, that’s how it should really happen, especially after you end this saga in December, moving on to another space family is perfect.  I really don’t understand why people are so aggravated about ‘changes’ in sequels or remakes like if you don’t like it, go back and watch the original if you can’t take the heat and enjoy. 

It’s crazy to be a part of the ending of something that’s been so enduring in the public consciousness, but I’m definitely excited to see what comes next. I know it’s going to be absolutely thrilled. I’m definitely looking forward to Rian’s trilogy. It’s going to be absolutely amazing, he’s so talented. But yes, it’s silly for people to get so up in arms about media at all, it’s very easy to not watch something if you think it’s going to “ruin your childhood” or whatever. You should know, right? Starring in a remake of a famous 80s movie.

Through the Haze || Adaisy

Adam: The silence, it was definitely different. Everyone in a moment like this feels like they need to do something, make a move, or even just say something to change the way the moment was being processed. As much as Adam wanted to do just that, he couldn’t move. Maybe it was the fear of rejection, especially everything that’s happened between the two of them, but when she got up to shower Adam just simply nodded allowing her to leave the bed from him. “I’ll be fine; besides you threw out all the alcohol, and I have to drink this $10 bottle of water to get the real use out of it.” he joked as she disappeared into the bathroom. Upon hearing the door latch closed, he threw himself back on the bed. Regretting not doing anything. Though the time they spent in Ireland was something he really wouldn’t mention to anyone, now he was in the process of divorce, as much as he wanted to tell Daisy how much he wanted to talk to her about /them/, he didn’t want to seem desperate.

Daisy: The shower took longer than she expected, mostly because she kept getting lost in her thoughts. The events of the night before were... interesting to say the least. They hadn't really been given much alone time like this since everything had gone to hell, but it didn't feel awkward, not really. His actions last night seemed to suggest that maybe the feelings they had developed for each other a few years back were still bubbling to the surface, but she couldn't allow herself to dwell on that. He was in the middle of a divorce, she had just broken off her engagement, and they were about to drowning in promo. They couldn't act suspicious in front of interviewers, camera, and their friends. So whatever she wanted to happen, whatever Adam might have been wanting to happen just could not happen. "Oh, I feel so much better," she said, walking out of the bathroom, changed into her clothes for the day and rubbing a towel against her wet hair to try and dry it. She could tell there was something on Adam's mind, but if it was what she thought it might be, she couldn't allow that to happen. Instead she chattered on idly about their press tour until the a knock at the door alerted them that their food was ready. She'd have to leave as soon as they finished eating, so hopefully whatever conversations might have been said were left buried down for now.

“It is quite a strange feeling. To be learning a character inside and out, portraying them day after day for years. Then all of a sudden, everything is done.” Troian explained to Daisy. “But at the same time, I feel blessed that I got that long to play a character. It’s what every actor dreams of really.” She countered. “It doesn’t take that long to get attached to a character. Especially one as important as Rey. You did a wonderful job bringing her to life.” Troian added.

I’m actually quite jealous of TV actors. You get so long with your characters, and you get to really dive in and develop so many aspects of the characters and you get to tell so many stories with them for so long. I love doing the movies, but sometimes I wish that like... Rey’s story was being told on the television because while she’s growing and learning and the like, I can only imagine how many more facets of her there would be to discover if we were doing it on TV instead. But it’s still fun. I love it. But thank you so much, you’re so kind! I really do love her and I hope people are happy with her journey.

"And I don’t know why that need seems to threaten every male fan everywhere.” She stated, a hint of joking tone to her voice. “Right? Like women are only supposed there for men to objectify. And I’m glad Marvel’s fighting back with more and more killer female superheros. Like Rey, Carol and Diana.” Gal expressed to her. “I think when people have nothing to pick a hole in that’s obvious. They’ll go for the strangest reasons.” She proposed as an idea.

You’d think we’d gotten farther than that, but it seems like people can’t go ten minutes without criticizing a powerful female characters. Still, it seems like things are on the upswing. They definitely seem to be included more than cut out, so I’m just hoping that trend continues. I know there’s a lot of people that want to see more female versions of male heroes, and I love that, but at the same time, I love the idea that we have our own female heroes from the outset. Like... we don’t need a female Indiana Jones, we have Lara Croft, you know? It’s not perfect, but I think we’re getting there, for sure!

I mean, it’s based in space with so many galaxies, they can really do anything if they really choose it to be, just keeping it all together and really, do anything. Do ending really make everyone happy nowadays, especially to remakes, sequels and spin-offs, they want their movies to remain pure, but sometimes they shouldn’t. You know, I’m not sure what’s going on in the DC universe sometimes either, so there’s that? Just gonna focus on Suicide Squad first to see where they’re going to lead it into the regular DC universe.

Exactly! Like why bother focusing on just this one little family - even though they’re the ones constantly messing everything us - when there are hundreds of galactic systems of there with stories to be told? I’m looking forward to everything they’re going to end up doing, it’s going to be fabulous.  And no, there’s no such thing as a happy ending anymore, because someone is always going to complain about it, no matter how hard you try to make them happy. People these days seem far too interested in having control over the media they consume, which is absurd to me. You’re the audience, not the creator. Thanks for the support but you don’t get to dictate what happens. But that’s fun for you! I support focusing on what you’ve got going on and not worry about what’s happening with the universe at large. It’ll just make things confusing.

“I’m going call out those accusations a little bit.” Gal declared when she mentioned that. “Do you ever notice how most of those accusations are made by men?” Gal pointed out. “I don’t know about you, but I’ve mostly gotten positivity from women. It’s mostly the men that need to open their mind as you say.” Gal expressed to Daisy. “Like I’ve gotten most comments on the size of my tits from men I’ve never met before in my life. Saying my tits aren’t accurate enough for Wonder Woman.” Gal declared to Daisy, clearly still in disbelief. “Like what does that even mean?!” Gal dramatically inquired. “I don’t think so. I think that was what was the problem.” Gal answered.

Oh yes, of course. All of them are always by men. How dare a woman have any sort of special powers or abilities? How dare a woman be strong? It’s absurd and I’ve done my best to not listen to them. Rey and Diana and Carol and all of them are strong and powerful and wonderful and it’s excellent. And yes, the body shaming is ridiculous. Being too thick or too thin or not being chesty enough or being too chesty, like who cares? That’s not what the character is about, just let the story be told without being hypercritical for no reason.

Star Wars is never going to end, cause I know they’ve got TV shows and comics and all that, but it’ll be a bittersweet ending for you. Do you think you like the way it ends for your character? I’m excited to see it in December. We just started filming the new Suicide Squad so I’m wondering if they’re going to make that into a trilogy too, haha.

Right, they’re never going to give it up, and really, I think that’s lovely because there’s so many stories that CAN be told in a galaxy far far away that it would be a shame for it to just... stop. But yes, it is sad to be leaving it. I think Rey’s ending is really satisfying and I’m excited for people to see it. I know it won’t make everyone happy, but how could it? It’s good though! Another suicide squad movie? I don’t know why that surprises me, but that’s good! I wasn’t sure what was going on in that whole universe, especially with this Joker movie coming out.

I could understand why you’d be sad to see her go in a way.” Candice expressed to her. “Maybe the fact that you’ve done such a wonderful job portraying a role model to so many young girls will make hanging up the staff easier.” Candice commented.

Thank you! So far it’s been okay. I almost wish it wouldn’t end but I also kind of can’t wait for it to end just because people keep trying to get secrets out and I’m afraid I can’t say anything. But yes, thank you! It really does make it easier to let her go knowing that she’s done so much good already.

There’s no word quite for it.” Troian gave an explanation for her previous statement. “Call me egotistical, but I like to think that’s a mark of how well we’ve done with the character.” She admitted.

Agreed! TV actors, I don’t know how you guys do it, to play a character for so long and then have to give them up. I think that would break my heart. I only played Rey for a short time comparatively, but I’m just so sad to be leaving her behind.
