ALUMACH opens expansive new showroom showcasing fully integrated machinery and software systems in Melbourne, Victoria.

For over twenty-eight years ALUMACH have been supplying machinery solutions for aluminium window and door manufacturers in the Australian market. Partnering with leading European brands such as EMMEGI from Italy, owners Len and Adrian Dinale have remained focused on their aim to provide world-class fabrication equipment to Australian manufacturers to increase efficiency and reliability.

As long-time supporters of Australian-based manufacturing, Len and Adrian are passionate about optimising their customers’ production outputs to increase the sustainability and high-quality finishes of locally produced products. The longest EMMEGI CNC machine in Australia

EMMEGI SATELLITE XT 15.500mm – Dynamic Version

Alumach have proudly supplied and installed the largest EMMEGI CNC machine in Australia, a massive 15,500mm working capacity. Overall the footprint of this 5-Axis machine is over 20m.

This ACT based customer came to us with a plan to fit out a new factory for high volume commercial windows and doors. After consulting with them about their needs and expectations, we proposed a 5-Axis EMMEGI Satellite XT 15.5m, EMMEGI Precision T2EHS 6.0m, EMMEGI MSP400 single saw setup with 6.5m PROFISTOP digital positioning length stop and a large quantity and variety of EMMEGI trolleys and tables.

This setup gives them the flexibility and volume to take on any project that comes their way. The EMMEGI Satellite XT can process a full bar completely, it does this by having a 500mm blade that can cut and separate the pieces, then go on to do any machining required. This blade can also be used to do end notching and mitres. The reason this customer opted for a 15.5m EMMEGI Satellite XT is to take advantage of the pendular mode feature. With 2x working zones each capable of taking a 6.5m bar or longer, this means that in pendular mode the operator can be loading/unloading one zone whilst the machine is working in the other zone. By operating in this mode, the spindle is constantly working with zero downtime between material loading. The operator can of course also use the machine in 1 zone operation and load bars up to 15.5m long!

The 6.0m EMMEGI Precision T2EHS – 5-axis double mitre saw with 550m blades was supplied to cut material that has no machining required on the pieces. This machine can feed and cut finished pieces up to 2.5m long onto its inbuilt conveyor belt. The operator stands at the end of the machine and places the pieces directly into the EMMEGI trolleys we provided. This means no repositioning of the bar after a cut, decreasing waste and hugely increasing productivity.

Emmegis NEW Satellite XTE

EMMEGI have released their next generation of Satellite, the Satellite XTE.

SATELLITE XTE: THE NEW 5-AXIS MACHINING CENTRE

5-axis CNC mobile gantry machining centre, designed to run milling, drilling, threading and cutting processes on large bars in aluminium, PVC, light alloys and steel. The mobile part of the machine mainly consists of a gantry equipped with precision motorisation rack. The high-power electrospindle (15 kW in S1) with HSK-63F tool connection allows even heavy-duty machining to be run with excellent speed and accurate results. The new local safety cab was designed to combine top functionality, accessibility, soundproofing and light with safety and ergonomic requirements. The operator has broad glazed surfaces to check machining execution and, thanks to the total opening system of the cab in two separate parts, easy access during cleaning and maintenance. The cab interior includes the complete segregation of the work area from the remaining sections of the tool magazine and other accessories supplied on the trolley, ensuring maximum chip collection towards the conveyor belt and, as optional, dedicated extraction of machining fumes. The 24-place tool magazine is housed in the mobile gantry; it is equipped with an exchanger arm system that considerably reduces tool change times. A 500 mm blade tool is housed separately in a dedicated magazine system. SATELLITE XTE features new servo-controlled clamps that, in double operation, independently position themselves in concurrent time with respect to the spindle machining processes in the opposite working field. The clamps, which are compact and sturdy, are easy to configure without the use of tools for geometric adjustments. The new stops enable complete coverage of the working field and disengage the area when machining profile heads. All CNC axes are absolute and do not require resetting upon restarting the machine.
