This is based on the idea of at least preserving the text of one of my favorite visual novels, Love Island The Game, by Fusebox. Seasons 1 to 3 will be removed from the original app (which had been renamed Love Villa at some point) on December 11, 2023.

The plan for now is to manually extract the script from the game, then code it into a simple, fully text-based, playable format. This will be done for Seasons 1 to 3.

hiii sorry if youve gotten this question b4 but can i ask how youre playing sims 2? i know that theres ways to download it these days since u cant buy it anymore...but i dont know how trustworthy any of those options are lol its confusing! i love your little sims posts i think theyre so awesome theyre whats making me want to try the game out myself :D

r/sims2help's wiki guide is really good, I would highly recommend using the web installer they link it makes it piss easy. I've installed the game using both the web installer and the g4tw torrent and the web installer is better lol. I've never had good luck with graphicsrulemaker though so u may have to go in and edit that file yourself (fixes the game not recognizing that ur gpu usnt a piece a 2004 shit basically)

I really recommend using lazyduchess's RPC launcher as well, the web installer will download it for you as an option. It fixes an important bug relating to sim genetics and fixes sim shadows without the need for a separate mod. There's quite a few other options too but I don't use them (like high quality lot imposters. crashes my game lol)

If you have an AMD graphics card, you may experience really long start times for your game (like itll show up in task manager for 10 minutes before actually launching) so like. DON'T panic i had this issue lol. You'll want to follow this guide to installing dxvk just don't install it if ur not having #problems bc it does have some tradeoffs.

I think that should be pretty much it as far as getting the game to run goes, there's a few mods that you'll want to have but I really would not worry about it until you know you're gonna be playing this game for a While bc some of their setups are really fucking annoying (clean neighborhood templates...)

I’ve heard her quote Star Wars a few times and I’m hoping she’ll be the Han Solo to my Leia. Wait…” he pauses, his eyes glancing up at the ceiling a moment as he tilts his head, “No– Well..." He nestles his chin between his thumb and index finger. "I’d wear the slave costume if she asked me to.” He laughs, his cheeks rosy. “Sorry, I’m punching with her, I know.” He looks down at his lap as he composes himself then glances back up with the camera, moving his shoulders up lazily. “I’m ready to get in there already! Let the games begin.”

a/n: if you're looking for this to be the sweet, easy route that the game gave you... you will be disappointed. there shall be pain, there shall be angst. this is a complete overhaul- added challenges, scenes and a different timeline. there will be multiple pov, including elliot and nat (the oc), plus amelia, ryan, grace, and whoever i'm feeling at the moment. so i give you: the painful, angsty friends-to-lovers, one-sided pining route fusebox should have given for elliot.

Droll Hairline

Amelia Can't Win - Chapter 1

Summary:

My first chaptered fic for S6! Eek!! I'm not sure how frequently this will be updated as I'm still working on W&W (which is a monster) and a little something I have planned for October, but I wanted to get the first chapter out before the season ended (just made it!). THTH 2

guys can we talk about how good THTH is this season????? like genuinely so so good. Sure the cast all looks pretty much identical to last season but the STORYLINE. We have actual friendships, theres other couples forming connections in the villa, the convos with LIs are GOOD - not one note and not repetitive. The new bombshell is a slow burn...LIKE?!?!?! NETFLIX YOU ATE HONEY!

so ive had time to breathe from yesterdays disastrous update and I also replayed it again this morning and maybe it's bc I already knew what was going to happen or maybe playing it again made me realize a few new things but I'm actually not as mad w/ Ozzy as I was yesterday...

in my playthrough, Roberto was the one that pulled MC for a chat after the casa recoupling to talk about how ozzy was feeling during casa, his massive insecurities and that he was the one that wrote the note for MC. In my opinion this conversation basically lays out the foundation and road map for this weeks update.

We know that MC and Ozzy obviously had feelings for each other pre-casa, but they were never actually official. MC had MULTIPLE guys trailing after her around the villa and even if she felt the strongest connection to Ozzy - in his defense we never really told him this. Even the kiss goodbye was just that...a kiss goodbye. When we have the first chat with him he opens up and tells MC how much he missed her and how he felt when she was gone and when she says she missed him back. he's obviously happy but its almost like he's relieved and surprised she feels the same way. Being that they've never been coupled and never had a "this is it...you're the only one I want" chat his insecurities here are completely valid.

Then we hear about Ozzy making mad moves at casa. And at first I was PISSED especially bc in my mind that kiss goodbye was me telling him I wanted him. But then I started to think about how this is so completely out of character for Ozzy. This man doesnt do one night stands, he's held out on kissing MC until he had properly sorted his feelings for her and Grace so for him to get to the point where he's in a pool skinny dipping with two strangers, he must've been feeling super low and super insecure. (call back to Roberto telling us he has way more insecurities than we know) He tells us multiple times that when he saw the postcard he thought that Grace and MC were both moving on and he had to make moves. but what got me around this second playthrough was his instant guilt in the moment after it happened. If Ozzy was really a player who went around skinny dipping and triple kissing girls, he wouldnt have been racked with guilt. He wouldve just brought back a Casa girl bc that wouldve been the easy way out. But he didnt do that. And sure do I wish he had been more upfront about it on our very first convo? Absolutely!! but then I do see his side about feeling so guilty about it, being insecure and ultimately being inexperienced in scenarios such as this...bc this is not in his character!

all in all I still do think theres a redemption arc for Ozzy somewhere here. and if you have followed me since s5 you know I wont give up that easy 💀

You Weren't Mine to Lose

Aka a quick drabble I wrote of Ozzy and my MC talking after the stick or switch because I know FB will flop Warnings: angst, unedited word vomit

Ozzy stood in front of her, determined look upon his face. "Nikola can we talk?"

Her heart went to a stand still. She knew this was coming but she wasn’t sure she was ready to face whatever this talk would bring. Emotions were pretty high the night she left the villa, and they were high once again with her return. A lot had happened in that time, a lot had changed. 

She just wasn’t sure yet if the change was good. 

“Sure,” she replied simply getting up from her spot next to Andy. The man gave her a reassuring squeeze of her hand before she left to follow Ozzy. The long walk across the villa felt like a walk of shame after a one night stand that went horribly wrong. Almost everyone paused their chats to watch the pair make their way over to the swing. 

Where they had their first real kiss only a few days ago. Yet it felt like an eternity. 

“First off,” the tall dancer finally said. “I can’t believe you’re still here.” 

“Me neither,” she breathed out settling a comfortable distance away from. “The vote apparently wasn’t for the least popular, but the most popular. I just got an extra day at casa amor.” 

“Looks like you used that extra time well,” He muttered under his breath.

“What’s that supposed to mean?” Nikola’s brows furrowed together as her eyes narrowed. 

“Well you twisted with this bloke you brought back here.” He gestured towards Andy laughing with Bella at the firepit. 

“His name is Andy and he’s a lovely guy.” 

Ozzy let out a sigh rubbing his hands on his face before turning to look at her. “I’m sure he is, its just hard to see you back and with someone new.”

“Well you stuck with Grace, she said you guys were fixing things after I left and before Casa.” Her arms folded across her chest remembering the chats she had with Grace over the last few days. 

He rubs his face once more, “Yeah we did.” 

An exasperated breath leaves her mouth, “Wow. I thought that was a done deal. I don’t understand why you’re all aggy with me about bringing someone back then?” 

“Come on Nik, I thought you were gone and Grace is my day dot. I never gave her a full chance because you were..... distracting, I owed her at least a little chance.” 

“So now this is all my fault? I was just a distraction for you?” Ozzy tries to interrupt her repeating an alphabet soup of ‘no’s’ and ‘that isn’t want I meant.’ 

“You know what Ozzy, you’re biggest issue, and I’m gonna tell it like it is; is that you don’t know what you want. You have had plenty of time to choose me, tell Grace you only saw her as a friend. But once I was out of the picture you didn’t miss me, you jumped back into bed with Grace. In the future, if you truly liked someone you’d make an effort and not keep them your secret side piece till you ‘decided’ what you ‘wanted’. Because next time a girl isn’t going to wait around for an answer, I know I’m not.” 

And with that Nikola stood from the swing and stormed off, ignoring his pleas to hear him out.

All of this. Just so much yes to all of this.

They had the potential to make this season the best since s2 but they have shown they will continuously squander it.

It’s like they keep trying to recreate the level of angst that s2 brought us. But they cannot execute it at all. They fumble. Like they copy and paste but don’t have all the resources to do actually do so.

It’s tiring. We don’t want another Nope done the same exact way. We all hated how long it took to get with Noah. Literally until after the show ended. Even though a lot of us love Jake, we wanted to be with him before the last recoupling. A slowburn does not mean we have to wait until the last recoupling or the show is over. At this point I don’t think any of us consider FB canon to be canon. We wait for fic’s written by very talented people to fix their convoluted, half written, barely thought out plot threads.

They ruined so many plot threads in this volume alone. None seem to be written that way for any good reason.

Thank you fanfic writers for delivering on what FB can’t.

S6 SPOILERS AHEAD

I'm not even mad, I'm just flabbergasted. Fusebox took the best thing they did in the last four seasons (the surprise dumping) and completely squandered it. It's almost impressive in how just how wrong they could get things. The whole lead up should have been the dropped jaws when everyone saw us return. Instead, they were like, yawn, nice to see you or whatever. Saw you in the postcard.

WHO. THE FUCK. MADE THIS CHOICE? What? Why? It's so fundamentally unsatisfying. This is our popularity fantasy. We should have walked in like shock and awe. But we didn't. It just undoes so much. Now, we don't know if R/R/L/J stuck because they were being loyal despite us being gone, or just because they knew we were there? And I'm positive the only reason they did this is so we'll find out later that Ozzy didn't switch because he knew MC was back and wanted to be with her instead. Oh man, the poor Ozzy girlies. I was one, then I went back and did a loyal Lewie route instead, but I feel for you.

Also I want it known that in the villa fic I'm writing, I 100% called that Ozzy and Grace would be getting back together. Because why wouldn't they? Fusebox continues to self-cannibalize S2, copying and pasting most of Hope and Noah's scenes on top of Ozzy and Grace's. Right down to the cake Nope couldn't decorate together and fought over--which was a metaphor for their relationship. Grozzy had pretty much the same scene only it was a dog house they metaphorically couldn't get on the same page with.

I have so many thoughts (and complaints about Amelia), but I think I'll do a separate post for that.
