Modern AU Damian talk down bellow

So we have Damian, for starter, I'm not the only one working on this, you can even see a bit of a cursor/name tag from @soldier-of-mayhem so i'd highly recomend checking them out uwu they are a lil wierd creature that diserves attention. Anyway- to the world and Damian.

For starters, this world is the same world as we know DD from... just... the dark ages part got forgotten and can be only found by searching for it veeeeeery dedicatedly. Heart of The Darkness created well... everything but also created couple shits to help them with keeping it running: Death being the oldest (collecting dead souls and bringing them from mortal world to the void), Collector (younger problematic brother who is suppose to be helping hand to death, claiming those who death had problem with or are on 'borrowed time'), Shambler (even younger one just trying to do what it was made for while chilling in the void, getting bullied by collector, consuming souls to break them down, giving back energy to HoTD to create stuff into the world) and... Damian (a mortal that lives amongs the mortals that goes through rebirths whenever he dies, being basically a way to tell how it's going out there with their project). ...of course nothing goes as it's meant to. I'll focus on Damian here- - when starting off his 14th life over again, collector said nu-uh throw this bitch out and slapped him into the mortal realm when still being too young aka unable to learn what he's meant to do, his powers etc. - Al as one of the scientists specilizing in study of the void and things surrounding it finds him and tries to take care of him until he is forced to put him out into an orphanage - throughout the whole time being in the system he learned about his personal healing powers and ability to transform or transfer pain - he ended up finding peace and meaning in faith and so he unknowingly came back to his roots - being a flagellant. -throughout the time he's being chased out of the church that accepted him in the past while also meeting up with Tardif who eventually takes him home - Damian does not remember his past lifes, the only way he can remember is by being in the void that would slowly turn him to his actual form (basically DD2 look) or when asking questions where he would need his fantasy to work things out (for example 'who do you think should wear this helmet? im little stuck with writing' 'uuuh idk maybe a knight? with a big sword and a cross across his chest' but at the same time, he does not remember Reynauld at all)

some things might change, some might stay, i know it's a mess but oh well- this is what i have for now

Little worried about my job considering things went to shit a little due to my possible health condition with no actual results yet taking 3 months almost.

I'm thinking about opening commissions just to be able to afford rent and basic shit like food, but we'll see...

So in the past when i was playing with lil someone, we ended up with this while also having respectful between dismas and damian... lets just say the moment this amorous ship sailed my luck on death in the worst moment came, claiming damian and leaving the team wounded, at the inn also loosing dismas... she really cant keep a guy huh? (also planned way more of them but... just dont feel like i rn qwq)

Had the funniest dream where Tardif and Damian got in some petty argument one night. Damian, while still sleeping the same bed as Tardif, refuses to do normally: instead positioning himself upside down with his head at the end of the bed so he can “ignore him properly”.
