How do cultural expressions (photos, poetry, traditions and games) give any citizen their identity?
Because they are talking about who he/she is, what he/she likes to do and how those expressions make him/her feel as a person. The euphoric or sad way in which you react to situations that arise taking into account what you have learned at home and the attitudes of the people around you. All those factors form the identity of each one of us, since we have tastes, traditions, customs, etc. that are characteristics of our social group What are the main elements of my daily life that define me as part of a community? What are those elements and characteristics for others? How can I use critical thinking skills to read different sources from my culture and that of others, integrate the information and apply it to arrive at a multiculturally appropriate response? What experiences shaped my perspectives?
What are the main elements of my daily life that define me as a part of a community? What are those elements and characteristics for others?
1. Rules: to enter a community and have good contact with its members, you need the basic rules of coexistence so as not to cause conflicts. Understand them and know when they should be used
2. Commitment: Every community has a goal and all members of the community must be attentive and committed if they are to be taken seriously.
3. vocabulary: Despite the fact that countries have already established languages, within small communities like our home or El Barrio where we live there are some words that we use that may well be difficult for outsiders to understand.
4. behaviors: such as closing your mouth when eating, thanking when someone helps you with something, asking for things please, being empathetic, organizing your room, etc.
How can I use critical thinking skills in order to read different sources from my and otherโ€™s cultures, integrate the information, and apply it to reach a multiculturally appropriate response?
I consider that in addition to researching about the subject we should also seek to interact with other people. It is true that the theory could help us too much to understand why, but being in contact with people close to that culture and even people who are not so close but who have the same concerns that you can give you a 360ยบ perspective while before only with research barely and you reached 180 degrees
We must never stay with โ€œa single storyโ€ and we must always question ourselves, learn to listen, analyze in order to reach a good conclusion.
What experiences shaped my perspectives?
As I mentioned before, being in continuous contact with people who have different perspectives than yours will make you a person with a better learning capacity. We are social beings and we cannot close ourselves to a single idea, one of the most difficult things I have learned is to know how to listen to people before judging them for their ideologies. We can acquire prejudices that are not even true and that is why we should not just stick with what an internet page tells us, we must always look a little more and thus we will realize how multicultural we can become even when behind computer. We have in our hands the tool to know, appreciate and understand millions of thoughts. We must not waste this opportunity

Mariachi-- Traditions with a different origin
Supported by the Mexican conservatives, Napoleon III of France proposed in 1864 as emperor of the American country Archduke Maximiliano of Austria, who after three years in power was overthrown and shot. During his short government supported by the troops of the Intervention, French fashions and customs had a prominent influence among the Mexican upper class. For example, a tradition that was soon established, first in the state of Jalisco, was to incorporate a group of musicians to play happy pieces during marriage celebrations. Precisely, the word mariachi comes from a derivation of the French term mariage, which means wedding. However, some authors propose a different origin and assure that the mariachi voice derives from an aboriginal song to the Virgin Mary in which the Nahuati, Castilian and Latin languages are mixed. The song began by saying Maria ce son, which means "I love you Maria."

Migration
Tumblr media
The Refugee Crisis and Human Responsibility
The consequences of migration are greater than we can imagine. Not only for us but for the world economy, Mexico is one of the receiving countries of migrants, however, they do not plan to stay long in the country because their main intentions are to go to the United States. In the event that the migrants are Mexican, we are facing a very large job drain. People migrate in search of new opportunities because they do not see a clear future in their country and this lack of employment makes them feel the need to seek new places to live. We experience a lack of workers to meet the needs of the country, the population loss causes the economy to be affected causing instability both on the part of the host country and the country of origin. On the other hand, the receiving country could benefit if the person begins to move their money, which normally doesnโ€™t happen that way since many of them send their earnings to their relatives in other countries.
We are facing in the same way the problem of refugees, who did not plan to leave their country of origin and who, due to different situations, were forced to leave. They do not really have a plan of what they will do when they arrive in these receiving countries, they only ensure their safety and that of their families. However, there are still countries that deny entry to these refugees and they find it necessary to continue moving in search of someone to welcome them. These people who are in an emergency situation should be more supported by the governments, after all they did not decide the violent situations in which their country is involved and as another human being, they deserve a peaceful life.ย

Development:ย Climate change, pollution and the effects on living beings.
After the context seen in class and in the activities, I reached many conclusions. First of all we must pay much more attention to our environment because definitely nothing is what it seems. Perhaps we believe that we are doing something right or that our concern for the world's problems really make changes in our life, however, most of the time we realize that the effort we are making is not enough and we must create greater awareness about that. It`s very important that we all begin to mobilize and work on the negative effects that our actions are causing because many living beings are being greatly affected, if they could be sure that they would do something against it. We have been called to be the protectors of this planet, not its destroyers.

Maybe the fact that normally I donโ€™t eat very healthy food for breakfast, maybe I should wake up earlier to prepare something more โ€œelaborateโ€ but Iโ€™m really lazy, so I prefer to sleep 30 minutes more. Sometimes if I sleep at 4 or 5 am, I normally wake up at 7.50 am. At lunch I try not to eat so badly and at night I only have a glass of milk so sometimes I try to balance my food, of course most of the time I am very lazy.

Well I try to have a healthy life and Iโ€™m very dynamic, hate to be in just one place. The hardest thing about online classes is that I have to be in my place for 6 hours and that for me is really exhausting. I try to take my free hours to do some exercise.

Maybe if I was a little more disciplined I would finish my tasks soon and not be running all the time. Also if I got up earlier, it would give me full time to prepare well for my 8 o'clock class, maybe people would see me as someone much more organized and committed to school. I would need to change my nighttime schedule and sleep earlier so that I could go through the hours and be able to wake up an hour earlier

When I entered high school I stopped wearing comfortable clothes to join the fashion, as I already mentioned I am a fairly simple person who does not like that thing of dressing up like a rock star very much. However, there were many people who dressed the best they could and in order not to feel excluded from their social circle, I began to wear clothes a little more in line with the trend and worrying less about the comfort that such clothes could bring me.

It doesn't really bother to be myself with everyone but it is true that with certain people you are more comfortable than with others. In my case, I feel much more comfortable when I am with my family, I have spent most of my life with them so nobody knows me better. When I am with them I can do things that normally I would not do with friends, perhaps out of pain or simply because I see it unnecessary.

What I enjoy doing the most is dancing and playing the piano, they make me feel complete and when I'm doing it I don't think about anything else. I like other things like singing, reading, etc. but definitely what I could do forever is dance. I think that humans by nature like to dance, but many are afraid to do it because โ€œit will not work outโ€, I consider myself a very determined person who sets her goals. The first time I danced I was 12 years old and I was definitely doing it awful, but I never let fear and grief take over.
