Nursing Informatics is an integration of Nursing Science with Information and computer. It is the interdisciplinary study of the design, development, adoption, and application of IT-based innovations in healthcare services delivery, management, and planning.

In this course, after reading the TIGER based self assessment of competencies, I expect to be learning the three basic foundations; Basic Computer Competency, Information Literacy and Information Management in relation to the nursing/medical practitioner profession and how I can use health data to improve outcomes using the foundations.
