Oh there’s no way she doesn’t get a discount cause everyone wants to work with her, but she definitely isn’t getting solos for free. Not when her family is physically able to pay those prices. If I got the chance to work with Crystal I’d definitely be giving her family a discount that’s for sure.

I feel crystal gets some solos for free though? Anyone else agree with me. I KNOW this is choreographers job and this is how they pay for their bills etc but sometimes choreographers wave fees for protégés like crystal as their work is being done well and showcased well and their name. I could be wrong or at least a discount. I can’t see crystals parents paying like $2000 for each solo. She does like 3 a month too LOL with all closing shows so that’s insane. I mean tho crystal travels to BTF for free and gets classes for free so maybe their parents really only pay for costumes and solos. And her travel to like nyc for things and yagp etc.

Tbf last year Regan was on top of the mini division, this year on the bottom of junior division. Imo it's pretty normal to place differently on those years

Oh for sure, the difference in maturity for a 11 vs a 12 year old is huge. Not to mention some that compete 12 are actually 13.

Also I’m not gonna post anymore anons about Regan, I don’t feel like this conversation needs to be continued

Great points! Maybe Regan doesn’t care about winning, maybe she just wants to have fun with her friends. Not everyone is out and striving for a title. I’d rather do a solo I love than a solo that is too hard and I don’t like so I have a better chance at winning. Regan probably liked Queen Bee and telephone or she wouldn’t have done them. Regan could have done a different solo if she didn’t like those ones

True, if she wanted to do other solos she could have. I’m not saying she doesn’t want to win but it doesn’t have to be her priority.

Also I hope she does Telephone again because that solo could be so good when cleaned.

in response to that anon about regan, you really never know what the judges will like not like. Diana went in with after being top 6 radix and top 10 mini last year and she had a solo that had done super well all season. Just like regan, she didn’t make top 20. Do you see arguments being made about “why would molly do that to her”. Maybe if it was another day or another set of judges, Diana and Regan would have made it instead of others. Or maybe the solo wasn’t the problem and it was the audition

Exactly!! You never know. Dance is so subjective, it depends on the day the other kids how the judges are feeling, who the judges are. So many factors, and unlike gymnastics there’s not not one set of rules to follow. So the results will be different every time for every situation.
