Sulu’s eyes linger on the other, attention critical on his posture. Once satisfied, he shuts his eyes, focuses then on the other’s breathing. It’s no guided meditation, words are left unspoken, and yet he makes it clear, attempts steady breath and slowed heart rate: breath in through the nose, and out through the mouth. 

Focus of any depth was difficult enough for Dan without some attainable goal or external pressure -- Sulu’s silent presence, just knowing he was right there next to him on the floor, was messing Danny up.

One eye opens, glancing at the man. “This actually, you know. Do something for you? It’s not just a reason to sit quiet and stew in whatever you’re dealing with?”

     it’s almost a look of longing, back to the high-end tower that dominated      a corner of the ‘room’ he’d been ‘assigned’. got some quality work done      on that machine -- if only he’d had a choice in the matter. then he twists      back around, sees the guy a few steps ahead, and moves to catch up.

          “it’s danny, by the way.”

                    ❝less talkin’, more running’, innit.❞           he shuffles the other out of the cell, drawing one pistol          from his shoulder as he advances quietly down the hall.

     “ There we go.             I at least like to know where I stand with my rescuers-slash-potential-captors. ”

The relief is there, but not whole -- the man could speak for himself, but maybe not his crew in its entirety. There’s no question about his situation. He knows he’s technically boned.

     “ And if you do turn me in, I’d get it. Much more money that way. ”

                         “ OH I KNOW HOW THAT GOES… “

                           " don’t worry all right ? i am not gonna do a thing to ya, well                            i might kick you out at worst. but i am not like those creeps. “

     “ I couldn’t tell if the last ship wanted to eat me, or well. Eat me.        Neither of those being good options. Forgive me if I’m not the perfect guest. ”

            “ YOU REMEMBERED THAT NOW  ? “

                 “ I’m seriously startin’ to think you WANT me to turn you in. “

“Would be better for your form though, and chakra pathways.” 

And with that, he slips off the bed, sliding gracefully into a similar position.

With Sulu moving to the floor, Dan shifted to give the man more room as well as adjust his best to mirror Sulu’s pose. Straighter back, hips back a twinge, little things -- until he feels (un)comfortable enough to close his eyes again.
