i really don’t have the words to describe how cruel this is. it’s pride month. we’re in a pandemic. it’s the anniversary of the pulse massacre. and you can now legally be denied medical care and insurance for being lgbtq. i am unspeakably angry. my heart is heavy.

i had a dream where the hottest meme on tumblr was like… posts where you listed off people who should be prioritised for safety if the great flood happens again (like noahs arc) and it got to the point where they would span for hours and hours down your dash listing more and more obscure traits like “people who have had a front tooth removed but never had a filling” and “people who stood in dog shit last saturday”

i hate when rich people condescend with the whole ‘money can’t buy happiness’ argument like listen. just because buying your fourth car didn’t fill the void in your deluded disconnected-from-reality life doesn’t mean not having to worry about food/ bills/medicine wouldn’t greatly improve the mental health of literally everyone else on the planet

As an experiment, we planted some “Glass Gem” corn in the garden. A tiny packet of seed corn was given to us by a daughter. We had room for only a few plants, so we didn’t have high hopes that it would pollinate well. Today we pulled back the husks and found precious little ears of corn!
