I'm curious if being a fan of Farscape influenced whether you like Cam or not

Fuck yeah! I saved $37 dollars on a bunch of kids games at Target.
They're tried of all our games and I'm tired of them, too, so I splurged and bought a bunch because we all deserve it.
I'm looking at it as an investment (and let's not mention how much I've spent total). My mom saved my childhood board games and we now play them all together. The older ones are all made better than any modern game even the exact same versions. The drastic quality decline in board games is rather sad and infuriating.
I can't wait for them to come! I got some cool things for us to play together. It's so fun to do Just Because gifts.
But really it's for me, too, because there's only so many times you can hear "I'm bored. What can I do?" before it completely drives you so nuts you drop a staggering amount of money on board games.
I also really like spending money on the kids in instances where my parents never could because they didn't have the money. There's still that internal dialoge telling you that you can't spend money on that before you remember 'hey! I'm an adult with money and I totally can spend money on that!' It feels really nice to give them simple things here and there that I myself as a child could never have.

I re-watched Buffy's "Once More with Feeling" episode and holy shit no wonder Tara got killed. That was practically x-rated for a same sex couple on network tv back then. Totally didn't pick up on the language in the bedroom scene as a teen.
I am shocked the network didn't cut it. Unless they figured it didn't matter because she'd be dead later.
It's wild to re-watch a show from your younger years now as an adult whose seen more life and more tv and, unfortunately, knows the bury your gays trope so well now. It was a shocking scene because of the character death and now it's not a shocking scene specifically because of the character death.

hey so last night i was looking for charming teddy bears, and what should have been a just and noble quest devolved into a horrible discovery:
for around 200 big ones, you can purchase a teddy bear with the body of a man and the eyes of a creature that knows it should not exist

the question of fic comments is very straightforward actually. readers do not owe writers comments. writers do not owe readers fic. there is no bargain, no transaction, no debt.
fic is a gift. comments are a gift. gifts are exchanged between friends, out of love, not out of obligation.
I write for myself. I post it for others, as a gift, because their joy brings me joy. I read for myself. I comment for the author, as a gift, because their joy brings me joy. perhaps we were not friends before, but we are now, however fleetingly, because we have given each other gifts out of love.
