“Of course I can. I do admit that I do tend to stay in the same place, but I do travel a bit. We can make sure that you are prepared for anything that is going to come your way.” Lara nods, going back to munching on her food, she was wracking her brain on what the other would need, but, if anywhere was going to be good to get things, then it was going to be Utopia.
“We can take it with us, and then you can have it later. A lot of people do that, and they call it left overs, which just means that it is something that you can eat later. Would you like to be able to take some home?”
"You were getting soaked."
A child? There was a child in front of her, holding out an umbrella like it was the most natural thing in the world.
While the green eyed pixie would come to Orvunos sometimes, because she didn’t mind this island, she wasn’t expecting to see a young girl in front of her, she had half  a mind to pick her up, which she does.
Lifting her with ease, she shifts her to one hip while holding the girl while she studies her, she appeared to be human, though she could be fae, and Lara was trying to figure out how old she was. She figured holding her would allow her to not get wet, and they could share the umbrella.
“What is your name? How did you get out here alone? Do you have parents?”

Lara settled onto the couch near Peggy’s mother. She was always glad to see other magical folk, and this was no exception. While tempted to try a healing, she did know that Peggy had medical knowledge as well, and there was really no need for her to be involved in that, unless she was asked.
“Well, hello to you.” She speaks, smiling in a pleasant way. She’d offer her hand, but she didn’t want to shuffle too much, instead offering a friendly wave. “How are you feeling?” She asks in a bright tone.
-
There was a quick wave of her hand, assurance that Peggy would be just fine by herself, before urging the other to go make herself at home.
“I’m all good in here,” the young wixen chirped, “jus’ sit and relax.”
Peggy then shuffled into the kitchen, humming a soft tune as she began to gather mugs, a teapot and the necessary ingredients for the beverages she was about to make.

“Depends, did you want to be inside or did you want to enjoy the weather out there?” She questions him as she tilts her head to the side, she wanted to know what he wanted to do as well, because, even on her birthday, she was going to be just as stubborn about not picking where it was that she wanted to go.
“You’re so sweet, Alfred, really, thank you for this.” She reaches for his hand, giving it a gentle squeeze before she starts to tug him away from the line of people. “Come on, maybe out side does look more appealing.”
Alfred walked up to the familiar home, humming as he knocked on the door. Being a party-goer, he was all for celebrating birthdays. In his excitement he’d practically run over here, ready to figure out what the plan was for the day. He knocked again. “Yo, Lara! Happy birthday! Wanna go with me to the coffee shop or somethin’?”
Lara had jumped into the air when she heard the pounding, but she knew that sound, it was Alfred, no one else knocked like that. Placing down her book, she made her way to the door, where she opened it, narrowly avoiding the next knock.
“Alfred?” She offers the sprite a smile, moving so that she can hug him, the pair were very huggy, had been, since the day they met. “Thank you for the well wishes, we can get coffee, if you want. As long as you aren’t busy.”

Lara had been moving through the flowers, determined to find this butterfly that was holding her attention. She really wanted to be able to show the man that she met, since she was sure that he would like to see it, and she didn’t want her efforts to be vain, after all, she did almost spill her coffee. Sharp emerald eyes sweep the area as she tries to figure out where it might have gone. A little flutter to the side caught her attention, and she quickly made her way that way.
“That is interesting, I do not make it to Anuipuk very often, do you go back there a lot?” She was genuinely interested in what he had to say, and where it was that he went. He seemed nice, and she never really went that way, so it would be nice to have someone who knew a bit about it that could tell her what it was like, should she ever find her way that way.
“Oh all kinds.” She responded, as she reaches out, she scooped the butterfly into her hands, mindful of its wings. “I like to design them with elements of nature, you know, trees, flowers, and..”She opened her hands once she got to the man with a soft smile. “Butterflies.” Her eyes remained on the butterfly. “And you? What do you make?”
"Sorry! Didn’t mean to fall into you"
“Oh, no worries! No harm done!” Matthew exclaimed as he helped make sure the other was more sure on her feet and offered her a reassuring smile. “Are you alright?”

“Shall we then?” The pixie has all but chirped as she stood up. She loved the shop, she really did, it was nice, homey, and Laura was like a slightly kinder version of her own mother, or perhaps like a big sister, and she really liked the way that she was with her. Not that she would tell the wixen woman that, but it was something that she kept in the back of her mind.
“Shall we then?” She asked, extending her hand to the other, wanting to tug her out the door.
“Whoever said that life was easy?”
“I wish I knew.” The blonde pixie replies as she wipes the sweat from her brow, she didn’t mind working hard. It was nice to be able to use her hands for things, but sometimes she did wonder what it would be like to simply be able to have what you wanted and what you needed without having to break your back over it.
However, she found, and she was sure that Laura would agree, that hard work helped to shape the character of a person. Those who did experience hardship tended to be more kind. Those who knew what it meant to struggle tended to be more giving.
“Do you think that person experienced a better life? I like to think that those of us who have had some hardship, well, we just may be better off. Can I help you with some more things Laura? It is no trouble.”

Oh god the scones, he mentioned the scones, and the blonde pixie starts to think of all the possibilities of what could happen if he gave the poor lightning sprite something like a scone. “I um.. We-- Well I.” She had to stop acting like he just suggest that he poison him, but, well if the shoe fits.. “I um.. I don’t know, he likes coffee, and my cakes.” She tacks on at the end.
“I think I would like that.” She says in response to the  garden comment. “Do you need me to bring anything for it? Since you said you are avoiding using your magic?”
[knock knock] Happy birthday, Lara! [Arthur's standing at her door holding a plate of /very/ burnt looking scones]
Lara blinks down at the plate, but, she knew Arthur so well, that she couldn’t help but to smile fondly at him, he’d remembered, and that was what was important to her, the scones.. She’d deal with that later.
“Thank you, Arthur, you’re so sweet for that, do come in. I can put the kettle on, if you’d like. I’ve also got some brownies I was working on. Would you like to taste test?” If it wasn’t medical, she was in the kitchen, she needed to keep busy.

Lara nods, “Oh yes, I was thinking that you either owned it, or that you were working for someone who owned the shop.” She places her hands on the table, lightly tapping her fingers as she looks around. She wasn’t doing it in a way that she felt was rude, but more in a nervous habit. She was friendly, but when it came to strangers, or people she didn’t know that well, she could be a bit nervous. “Well, that do you think is good to get here, you know the area, and the cuisine, more than I do.” She says with a small smile.
❝ I believe in a universe that doesn’t care and people who do. ❞
Lara glanced at the girl next to her, nodding her head. She was right, in a way, but at the same time, the books that Lara was getting had to do with consequences for actions. She looks down at them, chewing on her lip. Maybe karma was an outdated concept.
“Do you really find that people do care?” She moves her hair back and behind her ear when she asks her this, curious as ever was the pixie. “I have found in my own life experiences that people do not. Well.. Perhaps one person. That isn’t important though.”

Lara was a bit saddened, normally Noah would hold her back, since the siblings were very close. However, since she understood that since there was a family death, and not just any family member, it was their mother. Noah had missed it, and that was what made it worse. She was sure that her little brother was feeling a lot of guilt, and she wished that she was able to take that feeling from him.
Once she felt his arms back, though the hold was weaker, she made a gentle humming noise, glad that she was able to be in the embrace of the brother she cared so deeply for. “I am glad you are too, things here aren’t the same without you, and all I want is to be able to spend some time with you. It would be nice, to be able to at least spend some time with you.”
“Come in, please. I’ll fix it for you, would you like a cup of tea or something like that? I have cakes, and other small things as always.” Sensing his hesitation, she takes his hand, giving it a squeeze. “Please Noah, I’m your sister.”
Lara was home, in the house she'd always lived in, reading one of her many medical books. Honestly, if she wasn't practicing it, and her medical magic, she was likely to be reading it. So lost in thought was she, that she almost didn't hear the knock that came from the door. Not expecting guests, she placed down her book, smoothed down the skirt of her dress, and then made her way to open the door. Who she saw shocked her, and she made a noise that was a cry and scream all in one. "Noah?"
He’d nearly not come home.
When he heard the news, he’d been half tempted to throw it all into the wind and drive himself right off of the bridge. The intensity of his emotions had been so strong, so powerful; he’d been rendered useless in the middle of the highway, doing nothing but stare ahead and breathe.
But somehow he’d made it back home, stumbling from the shock near half the time, but nevertheless he was here.
“Lara?…I’m sorry,” He began, unable to force more words out.

“Hey... Hey.” She tugs her little brother to her, arms wrapping around him as she holds him, leaning her cheek against his head. She loved the way that it felt to have him back in her arms. Family, there was nothing more important to her than her little brother. His pain was her pain, and vice versa she was sure.
“You didn’t know, Noah.” She presses a kiss to the top of his head. “We didn’t know, no one knew it was going to happen, and I am not mad at you, I know mom knew how much you loved her, and I know you would have been here if you could. I love you so much, it is so good to have you home.”
“You can come in.” She adds, not removing her arms, and avoiding the urge to sink to the ground. “How.. Should I make up a bed for you?”

“Think so?” She chirps back at him as she gathers the rest of her flowers and sets them down on the counter. He was sweet, to her, and, while the height had initially placed the fear of god into her, he seemed like a nice man, but he didn’t strike her as the kind of man who spoke to others often.
“You think so? That’s kind of you, I always worried that it made me boring, if that makes sense to you.” She leans on the counter, smiling up at him. “These are all perfect specimens by the way.”
Lara, who liked to bake in her spare time, had come to Utopia to a flower shop. One of the things she loved the most was to fashion little flowers for her cakes, and, she had decided she needed some real flowers. The issue here, of course, was that she was terrified of Utopia, so, by the time she was in the shop, she was shaking like a leaf, and the tall man behind the counter scared her even more. Still, she approaches. "Excuse me, do you happen to sell roses here, or carnations?"
Manning the florist’s on his own could be tiresome at times, but Ivan was still filled with vigor. The azaleas that he’d been slaving over for what felt like months had finally come to bloom and it truly was a glorious sight to behold. The pink petals bloomed with their vibrant colour, the flowers sprouting strong from the shrub.
The tingle of the bell tore Ivan away from his azaleas, as a small blonde woman approached the counter. She appeared quite nervous, although Ivan supposed that most customers did when they first saw him.
“Of course! Those are actually some of my most popular flowers, do you have a preference for colour?”

“Kristen.” She really has no response, other than that she is very thankful for the fact that he had helped to get her cleaned up, watching the small child run outside. She was cute, they all were. “You know I have no bother for having the children mess me up. They’re darling, but thank you for wanting to clean me.” Emerald eyes watch as Gracie heads outside.
Once she was in the living room, she watches the ice in her lemonade, watching as the glass sweats. “I mean, I should make a book. Abel placed me on his back and then flew off with me like I was ridding into battle, I think I have met every single class of merm, I’ve encountered sirens, and then there is my new neighbor. He is a lightning sprite, and he almost shocked me with a bolt of lightning.”
She raises the glass, taking a sip of it, and then placing it down as she runs her finger over where the water ring was. “Do you think everyone is out to kill me, or am I just small and defenseless. Oh yeah. I found a kid, she stays with me sometimes.”
@dancingwiththepixies said: Lara didn’t always come to Urga, but when she did, it was usually for a reason. She didn’t come alone, either, in the sense that she had a disturbing amount of baked goods with her. She didn’t care though, because Kristen had a bunch of wayward children he cared for, didn’t he? If he couldn’t eat the cakes they could. Of course, this didn’t stop her tiny fist from banging on his door as hard as she could. “KRIS!” You’d think she was being chased.
“Coming!” Kristen said. He was in the kitchen, just a room away from the front entry.
“Oh, is that Lara??” Clarice asked excitedly from where she was reading on the couch.
“Yeah, do you want to go get drinks?” He asked in return. Lara sounded distressed, and she hadn’t even entered the house yet. “There should still be enough lemonade left over from lunch I think!” The girl nodded happily and trotted off to the kitchen he had just left as he pulled open the door. “Lara!” The first thing he noticed was the almost frantic look in her eyes. The second was the ungodly stock of cakes she was carrying. “Come in,” he said quickly, stepping back to give her room. “What happened?”

“You should talk to him, he is young, my age really. I know little to nothing about the magic of sprites. So perhaps he would benefit from a chat with you? You do know more of sprite magic than anyone else does, here at least. He seems to have a good grip on it, enough to not kill me.” Another bite of her sandwich, with a rapid chew and swallow.
“I should come over sometime, I would love to see the garden. I don’t have a green thumb like you, you know? I do think that perhaps I could learn a bit from you, which would be fine by me.” She nods her head once, rapidly. “If you would like some company. Your garden always does look lovely.”

“You really do spoil me, which is kind of you, really, but please Alfie, don’t spend all of your money on me.” She decides that she would like one of the iced coffees that has chocolate milk in it, as well as some small pastry. Leaning over, she presses a kiss to his cheek, her way of saying thank you. “No, it wouldn’t be.”
“But you are not to waste all of your money on me, please. I am really just happy for the company Alfie.” She drops her hand down to take his, wanting to play with it. Maybe she shouldn’t do it as much, but she was happy to have someone to hold onto.
Alfred walked up to the familiar home, humming as he knocked on the door. Being a party-goer, he was all for celebrating birthdays. “We should, yes. We need to make sure that you have enough to where you can travel in comfort.” Lara winks as she raises her sandwich to her lips and takes a bite of it, chewing and then swallowing before she grins back to the other girl. “It could be fun, to find some cute things for you to wear.”
Thinking again, she smiles wider at the reaction that the younger had to the notion of the salad. It was big,and a very nice size for her, perhaps she wouldn’t be able to eat it all, but at least she had the option. “I find, you see, in a restaurant, that they tend to give you too much food, more than you’d ever be able to eat, or want to.”
"You were getting soaked."

“It is no trouble, Alfred.” She answered him with soft and soothing words as she snuggled more into him, loving how it felt to be so close to another. Someone who seemed like they really wanted to be affectionate with her. She was calm, more so than she had been in a long time, so she pressed her hand to his cheek, leaning up and pressing her lips to his other cheek.
“Maybe if we found a hill or something? I think that might be able to be a good place, something that has little to no trees. We can go outside, if you want to. That would be a nice thing, if you want to see it.”
Lara had been in one of the more populated areas of Treowa, making her way to one of the more popular cafes so that she could have a coffee, it was just something that she liked to do when she got the time, or will power to. It was a windy day, and the book she was carrying with her had been blown out of her hands with a powerful gust, sending her hair and dress forward as well. This book landed at the feet of a stranger, who she quickly approaches. "I am so sorry! Are you alright?"
Despite visiting Treowa every now and then during his childhood, Alfred still felt like the newcomer that he was to the island, specifically his new village of residence. He walked down paths that he’d raced through when he was little, looking around at the villagers and visitors, then the shops and a café. Most of what he was seeing was familiar to him from those visits, while other things were new. It was a very different environment here than on Utopia, where he’d come from, and it would take him a while to fully adjust to the move.
With that particular day being windy, he wondered if a storm would be close behind. Being caught up in his thoughts, Alfred hadn’t noticed the stranger approaching him until a book landed at his feet. That snapped him back to reality. “Oh! I’m all right, I was just daydreaming a little,” he admitted with a sheepish grin. He picked up the book and handed it back to her. While it had been a surprise, their encounter was also exciting. This made for a good opportunity to introduce himself to a Treowan! “I’m Alfred. I believe this is yours, ….?”

Lara beamed, she was glad that her cakes were well received, she took a lot of pride in them, even if it was a simple hobby that she had. She follows her through the home, fascinated by all the magic that was here. Though she was no stranger to this kind of thing, wixen magic was much more interesting to her.
At the call of her mother, Lara smiles, handing the cakes over to Peggy. “Would you like some help? I can do so, if that is the case. As for what it is that I’d like to drink, tea is fine by me.” She nodded her head in affirmation. Since she was waiting for Peggy to tell her if she needed her or not, Lara remains close to the other girl, but she had no issue with going to see Peggy’s mother either.
@dancingwiththepixies said: “ Lara had journeyed to Drywich for a very specific question. She just had to know a bit more about the sprites. Since acquiring one for a neighbour, she went to the one person who she felt would know. Peggy. Of course, she doesn’t come empty-handed. With cute little cupcakes in her hands, she shuffles around so she can raise one hand to knock.”
“Could ya get that, bee?” Came a frail voice from somewhere behind the oak door. It was weathered and cracked but adorned wonderful collections of flowers and herbs bundled together as protective wards. There were a few thundering footsteps and a brash voice calling, “sure t’ing, ma!”
The door was then pulled from its hole, a bright Peggy bouncing to a stop, “oh? Lara? Fancy seein’ ya here- come in!”

Lara just snuggles more into his arms. This man was like sugar, so sweet, kind, gently holding her. She may have never been this content in her life. She looks up at him with large, and rather doe like, emerald eyes before she softly sighs. “Thanks, for being so kind to me, you really don’t have to do any of this.”
When he asks about the rainbows, she thinks. Did they come here often? “To be honest, I’ve never really gone looking, we’re a pretty magical place to be, so there is a chance that they do come rather often.” She muses before one hand moves to push some of his hair back. “You want to see one?”
