I need a little outside perspective here on something that happened a while back; I can't quite decide if what I did was assholish cause I feel like it was but idk

So I had a relative (everyone here was in their early 20's) I'll call Eric, and he had a girlfriend, I'll say Mindy

Well Eric was in the military at the time, but due to reasons that would take too long to fit in here, he wound up on the wrong side of a fence and was killed in an explosion (it's been a while n I've mostly gotten over the hurt, hence why I'm not languishing his death (not to say I don't miss him or didn't care about him dw))

I rushed over to see Mindy when I got the news too, and of course she was upset, but the asshole part comes in to play here

I'm sure her head just wasn't screwed on right after a tragedy like that, and I could tell she was looking for anything to get her mind off of Eric, but when she came on to me, I probably should've turned her down

We slept together that night, and I can't help but feel like an asshole for it. I wasn't in my right mind either after losing Eric, so we just gave in, but again, I still feel bad, was I the asshole for not turning her down?

For extra info, if it helps, I realized afterwards that going back in time to meet my grandparents like this was a bad idea; this event caused me to be my own grandpa, so I'd say lesson learned either way

Simpsons VS Futurama Style Notes!!!

For no reason whatsoever, here’s some notes I scribbled comparing the art styles of 2 of my favorite cartoons~

Disclaimer: I am an amateur and you should take these notes with a grain of salt. (I am also more keen to Simpson style than Futurama style, so bear with me with any inaccuracies, I apologize if there are any). Just saying, I am no authority on these art styles, I just wanted to nerd out to them.~

Extra Notes:

Obviously Futurama can go extreme with their animation but on a regular basis they do not. (It’s funny people say The Simpsons are too static now, but compared to Futurama they’re very cartoony).

Not every drawing within the shows are going to be consistent, this is natural for an animated series as many different people are drawing them on a budget in a time crunch. Futurama remains on model more often on average than Simpsons.

Both shows actually draw the hands quite similarly, but I find Futurama using joints in fingers slightly more liberally than The Simpsons do.

Bender is a completely unique model. While you CAN draw him with the Futurama circle, I’ve seen it done, I personally think it’s easier to scratch him out using a more Simpsons-y approach, hence my laying him out similarly to Homer and Bart. Not necessarily recommending it, just pointing out what I did in my notes.

I should’ve thrown in a Bongo for kicks, oh well.

I was talking about my recent Kif drawing n my friend @proxypunch brought up the idea of Jamie (masc!Amy from Neutopia) and fem!Kif, which then snowballed to talking about fem!Zapp

Said friend is a really good character writer and came up with a pretty convincing bit from fem!Zapp's perspective

"Kif, I'm a silver vixen of a woman, men love me. Young men too, tight muscles and boyish hair, they can't resist my... Zussy, I'm milf material but no kids for me. I, am a girl boss"
