Arej is one of the kindest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. She is so compassionate and loving to her daughters and anyone else she’s spoken to.

Maryam, her 3 year old, was hurt by a bombs blast recently. As of today she has been crying for hours for food that Arej tragically cannot afford due to the lack of donations.

As far as I have been told, Talia is faring better than her younger sister, but that’s no reason to ignore her too.

No matter how hard Arej and I work in tandem to help her and her children, there is only so much we can do alone.

I am Kholoud Al-Hanawi From Gaza 🇵🇸, the wife of Dr. Ahmad, a surgeon who risked his life in the war to save others. But today, he stands helpless—unable to save his own children. Our home is gone, reduced to rubble, and now we live in a tattered tent, barely shielding us from the burning sun and freezing nights. We have lost everything… but the worst pain is watching our children suffer.

Our precious babies, Yazan (9 years old) and Zeina (2 years old), are battling a cruel disease—Plaque Ichthyosis Psoriasis 🩸. Their delicate skin cracks, bleeds, and burns every single day. Every movement is agony. Every night is filled with their cries of pain. No child should suffer like this.

Tonight, Yazan looked at me with tear-filled eyes and whispered:

“Mama… will I be like this forever?” 😢

I swallowed my pain and forced a smile. How do I tell him that the medicine he desperately needs is beyond our reach? $500 every 3 days—that’s what it costs to ease their pain. But how can we afford it when we barely have food to survive?

In a corner of Gaza, my family and I are drowning in destruction, with the echoes of suffering surrounding us. I sat beside my modest tent, hastily erected after losing my home in the latest bombing. The faces of my family tell stories of patience and resilience, with lines of time etched upon them, as if they were records of unforgettable events. 🇵🇸⏳🍉

I once lived in a small home, filled with the laughter and voices of my children. Today, I have become a witness to the agony of displacement. The bombing forced me to flee with my children after a shell struck our home, leaving behind years of memories and simple belongings I never imagined would become unreachable. 🏚️💨

Every morning, I leave my tent and go to work, using a clay oven to provide food for my children. Meanwhile, my youngest son heads to the charity kitchens that offer aid, waiting for long hours under Gaza’s scorching sun. Despite the exhaustion that weighs down his frail body, he carries the food mixed with his tears and returns with a fake smile, hiding behind it the burdens of his struggles. 🍞🥀

At night, when everyone else is asleep, I remain seated at the entrance of my tent, gazing at the dark sky, reminiscing about days gone by… about my home that was once filled with warmth. Yet, I still find remnants of hope in my heart—a hope that one day peace will return, and my children and I will live in a new home, filled with joy. 🌙🏡✨

In moments of solitude, I find peace in prayer and supplication. I plead to God to protect Gaza and its people, to wipe away the dust of sorrow from our hearts. I always repeat🇵🇸🍉🌿

My name is Mahmoud, I’m 29 years old from Gaza, Palestine. It’s very hard for me to ask for help — but today, I have no choice.

The war has completely destroyed my home, my dreams, and my future. My family and I are now sleeping on the streets, surrounded by ruins and devastation.

Every day, I struggle just to find a small amount of food or clean water. Sometimes, I go for hours — even days — without eating a single bite.
